Haptics and graphics are fantastic, and some cinematic moments are exciting. Gameplay is still shooting/platforming in a Saturday Morning Cartoons format comedic dialog. Character designs still lack anything that unique or appealing, IMO. I had hoped the franchise would have graduated a bit more from the hokey superhero character, but he's still here, as is the Maniac villain. As an adult, it doesn't quite improve beyond these points. It's high energy and feels firmly like a kid's game, not much different than all the rest of the other games in the series. If that's your thing, go for it. Kids should love it regardless. (Also, I don't think the price hike on this game is justified.)

The Lombax is back!

If you are a fan of the franchise then you will love it, and if you are new to Ratchet and Clank then be assured that this game is enjoyable and packed with heart. This is one of the first games to truly showcase what the PS5 is capable of and you will see that immediately. I had a blast with this game, and hopefully you will too.

Love the weapon variety and the platforming is precise and fast paced. The story is also interesting. Certain parts of the game seem to have difficulty spikes (especially when playing on the higher difficulties) but nothing insurmountable. Overall a well balanced action/platform game, probably the game of the year so far.
