Super Powerful & Tech Forward UV Light!

First off this is a super powerful vacuum! It also has one of the easiest to empty dust boxes I have ever seen. The flip side to the power is the main body’s weight (the handle). It is heavy. What doesn’t help it is the bulk of the weight of the main body is above the handle which puts all the weight on the hand. I guess they had to do that so you could use it as a hand sanitizer unit with the UV light on top other wise it might have been hard to run it over pillows ect.
Other stick vacuums I own have the bulk of the weight underneath the handle which makes balancing it around corners and in general easier and less muscle required to manipulate it. It’s also only wall mounted. That’s fine if it’s in a closet or somewhere but having a floor stand option gives it a lot more versatility around the house and the ability to move it easily without patching drywall.
My unit came with the UV Sanitizing Head. This was the feature that really excited me not just because of a global pandemic but have you ever walked into a public bathroom and then wore those same shoes on your carpet at home….yeah… me either (eye roll). But in case you have… the UV sanitation is really forward tech on a vacuum!!! You can use the head with the main body as a handheld unit and do things like pillows…which was my first use. It is kind of loud and rattles when you run it over the surface and Raycop says that it vibrates the fibers to allow for a better clean. It was really cool to see that blue light shower my pillow with VOC killing light! It also was great on the carpet and picked up dust and killed germs… that’s a winning combination. Again the weight of the unit made me use two hands to run the vacuum over my pillows. But the powerful suction (3 speeds) and UV light might be a fair trade for the weight. That will be for you to decide. It was for me.
The UV head did not work well on tile or my wood floors. The “vibration” they speak of to dislodge dirt from fibers does not work well on the hard surfaces. It sounded like it was going to break the UV head or my tile. So I stopped. But In practicum I use pine sol or other chemical cleaners to sanitize my hard floors. That’s what makes the UV light so great for carpet! It’s the first product that can sanitize carpet without a shampoo!
The regular carpet head has a dual motor which I really liked. It has the traditional hardwood floor/tile head which is really close to the ground and soft on the front of the head and then it also has on the rear of the head the traditional carpet roller head. You can pop up the hard floor roller by touching a button on the head and then it down for hard floors and then pop up the hard wood floor front up to just run the cart head portion on the carpet. Pretty cool. I ran both heads down even on carpet because I felt like the close seal would provide a better clean on the carpet. Again the power on this thing is phenomenal. Press once for on (setting1), press again for power setting 2 and a third time for max power. If you want to turn off from power setting one just hold the button down. Power setting 3 sounds like a jet engine… which is good and bad. It’s loud but what do you expect for the awesome strong vacuuming capability?
The manual says it will run 3.5 hours approximately. My house is about 2000 sq ft. and I had no trouble cleaning the whole house bouncing around from low to high when needed.
The shaft of the vacuum is not extendable, so you get what you get as far as that goes. I’m 6’1” and it was comfortable for me. I can’t speak for shorter people. I would imagine the angle you push it forward and back would just be shallower. The overall build feels a little cheap in some places. Like the plastic clamp that puts the dust box into the main motor unit feels like it could break if you were not careful to make sure it was properly aligned. I also saw some give in the joint that connected the main unit with the shaft and I wonder over the years if that would be a problem. The attachments worked great. It comes with a crevice tool that had an extension on the front of it and a combination crevice/soft brush tool. The extension on the crevice tool also felt like it could break if one was not careful.
Overall, I like this vacuum. It really gets the job done and with the cutting edge tech of the UV light really carves a notch in the vacuum world but loses some stars with me for the general weight of it, the awkward way the weight is distributed on the main unit over the handle, no floor stand, and some concerns on the build quality on the joints, crevasse tool and dustbin latch.

Pretty Cool Vacuum Cleaner

Got To Believe in the UV-C
A study published in the "Asian Pacific Journal of Tropical Biomedicine" showed that exposure to ultraviolet C light (UV-C) can kill dust mites and their eggs. To reduce allergy symptoms, however, you must remove the dead dust mites and associated debris from your home via vacuuming or other means.
Raycop Engineers -- “Hold my vacuum."
The Raycop Omni Power Cordless Vacuum is a rare design of vacuum that provides a UV light that alters the DNA of the dust mites, bacteria, fungi and so on. Therefore they can not reproduce and eventually die. That’s some cool science stuff right there. Without the light, it just ends up being another decent vacuum for daily cleaning of carpets, hard floors and every nook and cranny you can think of. The UV-C makes this vacuum special.
Speaking of vacuum, the suction power is very decent. I wouldn’t say that it is the most powerful of the bunch (I’ve used Dysons, Samsungs, LGs and the like) as it did struggle with picking up more clumpy messes like my cats matted hair clumps. The clump did make it through to the spin brush, but it just kept spinning along with it and never made it through to the suction intake. I think the motor head designs are more catered for the smallest pickups such as fine dust and dander as evident in the collections in the dust box. This is where the Raycop shines.
The main motor head is the UV Sanitizing Head which houses the UV-C lamp inside of a spinning brush. This head is the only means of attaining the 99.9% killing of bacteria and viruses. Also included are a crevice tool, dust brush and a dual motor head. The dual motor head is quite a refreshing engineering idea as I no longer need to switch motorheads moving from carpet to hard floor. It’s a shame that the dual motor head does not have the UV-C lamp installed.
The only two gripes I have about the vacuum is the dust box (waste bin) size and the sound this thing makes when it is on. The waste bin is on the small side in comparison to other cordless stick vacs I own. That being said, it did take awhile to fill it up and it leads me to believe that either my house is that clean or this vacuum is not doing its job. I said earlier that this vac excels in picking up the little things, so maybe that’s where it continues to focus its fight. So really, it’s about the sound. And it’s loud. It’s not a thunderous loud, but more of an annoying whine that gets more annoying at each power level. These whines should be reserved for the ultimate power modes for any stick vac, but this gives it to you in economy mode! I took a point off for that.
A lot of skepticism can come from a product like this. Even as it is a scientifically proven fact that UV-C light is effective in killing tiny gross stuff, how effective is Raycop’s solution? Luckily, Raycop has done their own testing and released documentation on their website highlighting the effectiveness of the Omni Power. It’s a shame that we cannot see this process happen in real time and can only feel the benefits with continuous use.
Pros:
The UV-C Light
Lightweight
Good power
Decent Battery Life (2400 sq ft home tested @ medium power)
4 Stage HEPA Filter down to 5 microns
Dual Motor Brush is innovative (but doesn’t have UV-C light)
Dust box (waste bin) is completely washable
Dual Motor Brush and UV Sanitizing Head are low enough to clean under tight spaces!
Dual Motor Brush and UV Sanitizing Head are serviceable
Detachable Battery
Cons:
Dust box is small
Storage dock is wall mountable only
UVC light only comes on when fully planted on flat surface
Tolerances for fitting attachments/heads are super tight and can feel like you’re breaking it trying to fit them in place
Subjective stuff:
Loud even at the lowest power setting, Very, very loud at the highest setting
It Definitely looks cool
Wish the wand was telescoping
Wish I didn’t have to mount the dock on a wall

Sanitizing vacuum

When you need it cleaned and sanitized the Omni Power UV+ has you covered. The vacuum is small and lightweight which can be both a negative and a positive. On the plus side, the weight makes it comfortable to use overhead for an extended period of time. It would also be good for anyone with limited hand strength as this is one of the lighter vacuums like this I’ve used. The small size means you have to dump the canister more often and unlike its competitors it’s a little more cumbersome to do. To empty the canister you must first remove it from the vacuum with a little latch and then remove the filter to dump the canister. The vacuum has three different power settings- normal, power and turbo mode. In normal it has good power on hardwoods to get dust, cat litter, etc.. When using on carpets I found the second mode (power) was best. When using the crevice tool and wand to get dust, power and turbo were the best, normal mode just really didn’t have the suction.
The battery life is stated at up to 40 minutes in normal mode, using only normal mode just isn’t realistic so don’t expect that. In my experience with mixed usage modes, I would guess I got a little over 20 minutes. Raycop states the battery takes up to 3.5 hours to charge and is removable. The vacuum comes with only one battery so you’ll have to purchase an extra one to extend your cleaning time without stopping.
The UV cleaning head gives you the extra piece of mind especially with all that’s going on. Theres no way for me to say with certainty that it does what they say, but I feel that’s true for all UV products. Raycop does provide lab test results though on their website. If you’re a clean freak the Omni Power UV+ gives you a little more piece of mind.
Pros- UV head, lightweight, good power, removable battery
Cons- no onboard tool storage, battery life on high, only one battery.

Better performance than a Dyson

This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.
While there are a lot of good vacuums out there, I feel like Dyson is to stick vacuums what Xerox is to copy machines. But the Raycop is a brand that is worth a look when buying a new vacuum. Especially the Omni Power model. It’s not cheap, but it’s competitively priced compared to a Dyson and you get the equivalent amount of power plus the benefit of HEPA filtration and UV cleaning brush head. All-in-all it’s a fantastic machine with only one minor quirk.
IN THE BOX
You get lots of items in the box. You get the vacuum motor/base, two brush heads (one UV, the other a dual brush), battery, charger, wall mount (and screws), telescoping hose to use standing up, and smaller attachments to use for handheld. While there’s plenty of accessories, the one I wish it had was a smaller brush head. But that’s not the end of the world.
I also want to mention the instruction manual. I know a lot of people might skip the instructions, and you certainly don’t need it, but it’s really well laid out. It’s short and uses pictures to show how to use it. While you really only have to read it once, kudos to Raycop for making it easy to follow.
EASE OF USE
If you’ve used a stick vacuum before, Dyson or otherwise, or even if you haven’t, the Raycop is pretty intuitive. It uses colors and arrows, and stickers, to show you how to detach the accessories and empty the dust bin. It’s all pretty straightforward and easy to figure out, even without reading the instructions.
PERFORMANCE
I find the performance of this vacuum to best Dyson. The primary reason is the dual brush head. I have to mention it first because I use it the most. My house is mostly hardwood floors with some rugs and carpeting in my basement. The dual brush head has the main head that has stiff bristles (mainly used for carpeting and agitating the fibers) and a second head that looks fuzzy almost like a carpet. When I run my Dyson over hardwood, I feel like it doesn’t pick everything up, sometimes even kicking smaller particles around when the brush head hits it. When using the dual brushhead on hardwood, the second brush head (the fuzzy one) seemingly captures those types of particles and sucks it in. Bottomline, it does a much better job than my Dyson on hardwood. On carpet, I think the real world performance is comparable. The best part is that you can easily activate the second brush head with your foot by pushing down (it clicks into place) and when you go over a rug or carpet, you hit a lever with your foot and it raises out of the way.
The UV head is much like an air filter to me. I can’t really quantify how well it works and almost have to take the company at its word. I love the idea of killing bacteria and allergens with the UV head, but I simply can’t say how well it does or doesn’t work. I find myself using the dual brush head more often (see my comments re hardwood floors) and don’t use the UV head because I don’t want to vacuum the same area twice to kill bacteria that may or may not be there. But if nothing else, I love the option (assuming it works as advertised). On my carpeting, I do use the UV head more often simply for the comfort of killing bacteria and because I find the performance on carpeting between the two heads similar.
It has three power settings. There’s only one power button, so you simply hit it to cycle through what I call, level 1, 2 and 3, and then it turns off. I find the base level to be just fine, but I tend to turn it on level 3 just because I can. The light on the button changes colors to reflect the power. And the vacuum does get much louder, as you’d expect, when you turn the power up.
In sum, when it comes to the cleaning performance of a vacuum you won’t be disappointed. It’s a light vacuum that is easy to maneuver both in turns and gliding over all types of surfaces.
BATTERY LIFE
I haven’t tested the battery to see how long it lasts in one use, but I can say that I’ve been able to vacuum my entire house with one charge. Frankly, that’s all that really matters. It did die on me once during use, but that was because I’d used it multiple days over the course of a week and didn’t charge it. And I can only blame myself for that.
The battery is removable (most batteries in stick vacuums are) but it doesn’t require any tools. You simply push two buttons on the side of the battery to release it. Which is nice because you could theoretically buy two batteries, if the situation warrants it, and batteries do degrade over time so it’s nice having something you can easily swap out.
MINOR QUIRKS
Despite the great performance, both in suctioning power and on picking up debris on hardwood floors, the vacuum does have a few minor quirks. The top one is the charging situation. So this model comes with a nice hanging mount. The beauty is this mount holds all the attachments, which I can’t say for Dyson models. This is extremely nice. It keeps track of everything in one spot. HOWEVER, the charging cable isn’t built into the wall mount. When you want to hang it up, you have to take the plug and physically put it in the battery. This is definitely one of those first world problems, but I was used to sliding my old Dyson straight into the hanging mount and it charged automatically. Now you have to take the cable and plug it into the vacuum and then hang it. Luckily the mount has a little clip where you can store the cable, so you don’t have to lean down and pick it off the ground each time.
The dust bin is another, again, minor quirk. You have to remove the entire dust bin from the motor base and then empty it. And you have to unscrew it. The Dyson has it beat there, where all you have to do is hit a button and a lid opens and the dirt/debris is released. Given how small the bin is (not small compared to other stick vacuums) it is a bit annoying.
Last, as mentioned, I wish it had a smaller brush head attachment. I would use one to vacuum my carpeted stairs.
To be clear, these minor quirks are not dealbreakers, the overall performance of the vacuum itself outweighs these minor issues, but they were things that came to mind when using the product as a whole.
CONCLUSION
This is a well rounded, well thought out and designed vacuum. Its performance bests a Dyson IMHO, and assuming the UV brush head works as intended, has a much desired benefit of eliminating bacteria and allergens in your house resulting in cleaner air and surfaces.

For those worried about germs

If you are afraid of germs this is the vacuum for you, from the UV light in the vacuum head to the Micro HEPA filter over the exhaust, it is meant to reassure people that are inclined to hate germs.
A point about the UV light though. I know a study of these types of studies done a few years ago killed 99.999% of common household germs in about 5 seconds and 90% of spore forming bacteria in 40 seconds. So, if you are trying to kill germs, go slow, and maybe go over multiple times. Now to the Vacuum itself.
So, my first thought was this isn’t very powerful at all, then I went to turn it off and it went up to level 2… I ‘m like oh this is a lot better… went to turn it off and it went to level 3… yeah it gets the job done nicely. Then I read the instructions. Point being it has three levels; I do wish it had a four-position button versus cycling through it’s not that big of a deal in the end. But yes, it is one of the most powerful if not the most powerful battery-operated vacuums I have used to date. I was really impressed with how much it sucked up and I love the dual brush head that is designed for carpet and non-carpet. It is light easy to use and white matches our house nice (because that is obviously important). It feels nice and solid as well.
The wall mount is almost perfect and maybe perfect because I’m not sure how you would design it to have both of the things I want. First to what it has; it has a home for every attachment they give you. This is a really nice feature as I am always trying to find a home (and then find where I decided that home was) for the attachments for vacuums. Second, I love the low profile it has with the vacuum hanging from it, I have it hung behind the pantry door and everything except the motor fits nicely behind the door. The not as nice part is that you have to put in on and then plug it in, it doesn’t snap onto a charger; but if it did, it wouldn’t have as low as a profile so I think I have to say I prefer what they did by giving it a thinner profile. Lastly, depending on where you install this you may not have access to a call outlet, if that is the case, the battery detaches and you can charge the battery separately.
It takes about 3.5 hours to charge and I was able to get all of my vacuuming done in one go, It lasted somewhere in the neighborhood of 30 to 40 min between a few different vacuuming’s (It doesn’t take me more than 20 min to vacuum the house) When you press the power button there is a few second ramp to turn on and get up to speed. Overall, I really like this new vacuum and the UV light is just bonus for me.
Pros:
- Low profile wall mount
- Carpet and flooring brush
- Separate UV light vacuum head
- Battery can charge attached or detached
- The color (I like white)
- Wall mount that holds accessories as well
- Standard, power, and turbo mode
Cons:
- Charger isn’t built into wall mount
- Vacuum head doesn’t lock into 90 degree angle (Not really sure why I think this is a con besides that it’s what I’m used too)
- Cycling through modes is a little slow and I would prefer a 4-position switch to a single button.

THE BREAKDOWN:
The RayCop Cordless stick vac with UV is as advertised. This this is lightweight and portable and does an excellent job at cleaning in the slimmest of places.
I have always wanted to get a cordless vacuum for my stairs and pet hair on my hardwood floors. This thing did not disappoint. This vacuum is even easy to use for children and grandparents. I have had both try and they held it in high praise for the lightweight and easy to use feature. I felt as if the small cannister wasn’t really and issue because I just do touch ups and stairs with mine. Speaking of the debris cannister it can be a little difficult to remove but it wasn’t a deal breaker. The vacuum also has three different power modes: normal, power and turbo. I found myself using the power or turbo modes most of the time since the normal mode seems like it didn’t have enough suction to do anything.
The battery lasted me around 24-28 minutes using it on a mix of power and turbo. The company states that you can get 40 min on normal mode but like I stated about for me normal mode didn’t do much. It comes with one battery so if you feel like you need a backup you will have to purchase one. For me this isn’t a replacement of my main vacuum merely a added bonus.
The UV head worked as intended and does give you that feeling of clean when you use it. Do I know if this works as intended, no but I will take the companies word for it?
PRO’s:
-Lightweight
-Small head that fits under places my normal vacuum doesn’t
-3 power modes
-UV head
-Removable batter
CON’s:
-Battery life
-One battery
SUMMARY:
Overall, this product worked well and as intended, and I would recommend this to a friend if they are in the market for device like this.

The key features of Raycop vacuums are a combination of hospital quality ultraviolet light sanitation combined with HEPA filtration, cordless convenience and very strong suction power to remove 99.5% of common household allergens, viruses, microbes and dust mites. The products are beautifully designed and housed in arctic-white (with glossy black accents) high impact ABS sculptural housings which emphasize the high quality and health care equipment heritage of the company.
The Omni Power vacuum comes with a generous assortment of attachments including a sanitizing cleaning head, a dual motor/dual brush cleaning head, an extension tube, a combination tool and a crevice tool. All can be housed on the compact wall mount provided.
The company has very persuasive videos on its website which illustrate the effectiveness of the vacuums in sanitizing upholstered fabrics and bedding. Their studies indicate that virus and bacteria removal is 99.99% while dust mite removal is 99.3%. This is accomplished by the ultraviolet sanitizing head which utilizes not only a UV-C light but also a pulsing brush to literally beat the allergens out of the fabric. The UV-C tube is housed within the rotating brush and is easily replaceable. Equally important, the Raycop HEPA filtration system captures particles down to 0.3 micron, which is much smaller than household dust (10 microns), mites’ eggs (7 microns) and pet dander (5 microns).
While the UV sanitizing cleaning head can be used on carpeting and flooring, the unique dual motor/dual brush cleaning head is more effective for general floor care. It is very well-designed with a foot-operated switch to change from the hard floor (smooth) roller to the carpet (brush) roller. One indication of the quality of the Omni Power vacuum is the design of the aluminum extension tube. It is very strong due to its dual core construction. An outer box-section tube protects the inner round tube and provides a channel for the power cabling to the cleaning heads.
The two non-powered tools (a combination tool with brush and a narrow crevice tool) are well-designed. The combination brush tool is excellent for cleaning venetian blinds! Because you can connect these tools directly to the cordless power unit they will also find great use in vacuuming your car/SUV/boat etc.
One reason that Raycop vacuums are so effective is their superb suction power. Every vacuum relies on two factors to pull in dirt: speed of airflow and suction power. Airflow is generated by the RPM of the motor and suction is created by the physical size of the fan blades attached to the motor. The very high RPM brushless motors used by Raycop create high airflow which reduces the need for large fan blades and the associated big, heavy motor found in most vacuum cleaners.
The Raycop Omni Power has three power settings, indicated by the color of the power switch (Yellow, Green or Blue): Normal/Yellow (approx. 100 watts), Power/Green (approx. 200 watts), Turbo/Blue (approx. 400 watts). The battery life is inversely related to the power being used. I ran a series of tests to determine the expected battery life under three conditions - no power attachment, dual motor/dual brush cleaning head and UV sanitizing cleaning head:
No power attachment: 42.0 min (Yellow), 21.7 min (Green), 8.0 min (Blue)
Dual motor/brush cleaning head: 38.3 min (Yellow), 20.5 min (Green), 7.2 min (Blue)
UV sanitizing cleaning head: 34.5 min (Yellow), 19.1 min (Green), 6.3 min Blue
When using the dual motor/dual brush cleaning head for hard floor cleaning the Yellow (lowest) setting produces sufficient suction power to thoroughly clean the floor. For carpeted areas you will probably find the Green (medium setting) is required. The expected battery life at this level (20.5 minutes) is long enough to vacuum several rooms.
The UV sanitizing head requires the most power and for best results you will probably use the highest (Blue) power setting. While this gives only 6.3 minutes of battery life that should be sufficient to clean a mattress and related bedding or several upholstered pieces of furniture.
What does the Raycop Allergen Vacuum do best? Highest grades for efficiently vacuuming hard floors, upholstered furniture, window blinds, close-weave area rugs, picking up of pet hair and crumbs from the kitchen floor, clearing cobwebs from the ceiling, dust from walls, computer keyboard and other surfaces and serves as a great car vacuum. It does all of this reasonably quietly, and with great suction and maneuverability to reach into every tight corner. The unit easily switches to a hand held vacuum with a well-engineered, light-weight body, good grip handle. Its cordless feature makes it a go to anytime vacuum if a mess occurs. It is so user friendly! If you hate dragging out a heavy vacuum for the small clean up or finding a space to fit more equipment into a crowded closet, this great Raycop stick vacuum with its slender profile will solve that problem too. How? Because you can hang it on the wall with the beautiful charging bracket provided!
So how well does it clean? I found that it does an outstanding job of removing dust and debris from all hard surfaces as well as my carpeting. The UV sanitizing head was very impressive and did superb deep-cleaning on my mattress and fabric furniture. Because it is so light (6.5 pounds) you can easily carry it around your home and will not be worn out when you finish vacuuming. It did not scatter the bits of debris on the floor as I vacuumed and it picked up everything: dust, plant leaves, crumbs, dog food. I did not need to pick up a single thing off the floor by hand - it caught it all! And the HEPA filtration really did work – absolutely no dust was emitted from the vacuum.
Weaknesses?
• Relatively short battery life on the Turbo setting may be an issue for some. However, you can purchase a second Raycop battery which can be charged while you use your vacuum.
• If you rinse out the dust collection bin and filter after use you can expect the fabric inner filter to take a day to dry out (unless you use a hair dryer on it to speed the process).
• The narrow brush width (7 inches, compared to 10-12 inches for corded floor vacuums) lengthens the cleaning time.
• Edge cleaning is not perfect, due to the 1.5 inch wide housing around the roller brushes. You will need to use one of the utility tools to thoroughly clean along baseboards.
However, overall, you will be very impressed by the quality of the Raycop Omni Power UV+ Cordless Stick Allergen Vacuum and will appreciate its ability to thoroughly and effortlessly clean and sanitize your home. I give it five stars (despite a few quibbles) and a strong recommendation!

Our older battery powered hand vacuum was about ready to give up the ghost, so I knew we'd need an newer one at some point. I saw the Raycop option for a battery powered stick vacuum with a UV head for sanitizing surfaces. With all the public interest and concern about germs, I thought this was worth looking into. I'd never heard of Raycop as a brand before, so I opted to read about this particular vacuum on their site as well.
This setup comes with:
- Standard vacuum head (soft brush and beater bar)
- UV head (not for use on hard surfaces)
- Crevice tool
- Duster tool
- Wall mount kit and hardware
- Battery & power cord
Our house flooring is a combination of hardwood, tile, and carpet. There's also some rugs that we have in the dining room and entry way. I was happy to see that the vacuum worked on the rugs without moving them around or getting the vacuum stuck.
The regular vacuum head can be used as just a standard beater brush bar alone, or also with the soft brush for hard floors. I usually leave the soft bar down down unless I get to carpet, then I press the button on the head that pops the soft bar up so only the beater brush bar is engaged. It's handy to be able to swap back and forth without having to change heads.
The UV light head was the most intriguing to me - the instructions also say you have to be careful with it and not go banging it around while you use it, or you can risk damaging the UV light. I experimented with it and tried to use it on our hardwood floors, but yeah - don't do that. The UV light head is designed to be used on furniture and other softer surfaces.
I used the UV head on our couch and found that it was a pretty cool idea - now I can't say for certain that the couch was 100% disinfected after that, but it was certainly cleaner than it was when I started. With 3 pets in the house, the couch picks up a lot of pet hairs.
It's an expensive vacuum to be sure - but the price point is also up there with other higher end, name brand vacuums, but this was the first one that I remember seeing with a UV cleaning head option. I like it and more importantly, my wife and daughters like it because it's light weight - so now the girls have decided they like vacuuming the house.
So that's a benefit that may vary from house to house, but it works for me!

My initial experience was delayed due to an unchargable battery, but Estella from RayCop's customer service team got me a new battery out right away.
Using the vacuum is as you'd expect. Easy to maneuver, operate and pretty powerful in use. The UV head, I can be sure it's actually working but is a nice touch for some peace of mind while cleaning. Has useful attachments as expected.
My only cons would be the sound, on it's lowest setting it's really loud, the highest setting sounds like frantic yelling.
Overall I do enjoy the vacuum

So I chose this Raycop portable stick vac that sanitized my older carpet, memory foam beds, and couch!
As far as suction goes this thing is very strong at level 3. But boy is it loud. Not horribly loud. But more so than my other stick vacuum. I guess that’s the price you pay for power. Not a deal breaker for me. As this i mainly wanted for the sanitizing of my carpet and beds plus my couch. I have 2 young children and 2 cats. So we all know how much mess and germs both can pass around. Plus I clean a medical clinic and petro transport build(dirty). Now I can’t actually see it working but I own a small cleaning business and I know that this machine is doing it’s job. So that makes me feel better knowing it will help. Overall, the unit looks very nice. At first I thought the white plastic in the online photos looks cheap. But in person it looks very nice and premium. Me and my wife like it alot. The canister is about average size and is easy enough to take out to Empty. This raycop comes with 2 separate heads and is easy to assemble and store always as well.
The only real downside to this is the battery life is not what I expected but that’s on level three and with the light being used. So understandable. Also it would have been great is ray coo would have included a second battery pack for this price point. But really can’t complain as this is a great overall product for what their line is aimed at. Peace of mind is what I get with this unit.

I'm replacing an older stick type vacuum and seeing this one is both a stick vac and handheld vac, this looked like a good replacement.
Normally I don't like these type of vacuums since they tend to be a bit top heavy and making the vac not so easy to maneuver. After using this for a bit, it was surprisingly easy to maneuver around so it was a nice bonus. The vacuum comes with the usual attachments, wall mount as well as a normal brush head and a UV brush head.
The UV brush head is a bit weird but in a good way. I used the UV brush head and wasn't quite sure what to expect. I can't really tell if it works or not since I don't have any way to tell it's disinfecting or not. I did notice there was a fruity smell after vacuuming my bedroom so I guess that's the result of the UV? Either way, what is noticeable is the amount of lint/dust it picked up. There was a considerable amount of lint picked up by this even after using my older vacuum. At this lets me know it's much stronger than my older one.
There are three power settings on the vacuum; Normal, High and turbo. On turbo, it's pretty loud but does a great job sucking up the dust/lint so it's all good. I have yet to try this out in my truck so hoping it'll help clean out my truck a bit.
Only real downside for me on this is that this has to be stored via wall mount. I usually like just standing my vacuum up somewhere out of the way however I'm unable to do it with this one.
Overall though, great little vacuum that's powerful and aided with the UV cleaning benefit.

Excellent Stick Vacuum, Futuristic Looks

We all know who started this high-tech good looking vacuum trend in the marketplace and it seems like there's a new contender every few years. I've never heard of Raycop before, but there seems to be a ton of engineering behind their products that gives the established brands a run for their money.
Pros:
+Awesome packaging and presentation
+Good suction power, innovative head design. I was able to vacuum my heavy shag carpet which is hard for most stick vacs.
+Brush head has a finer hardwood brush that easily slips out of the way with a kick push of a lever
+UV head is great for bathrooms, kitchens, pet waste areas
+Accessory holder and mount with mounting hardware
+Good battery life, I was able to
+3 different power settings that are indicated by LED color.
+Removable battery that can be charged while attached to the main vac base or by itself.
+Super simple to clean the dust chamber
I will say compared to other handheld stick vacs, I noticed the following:
-Was not as powerful on shag carpet and did not do as good picking up dirt and large particles on first pass as some other vacs I have tried.
-Harder to get started, not sure if it was due to the hand and wand design or overall thinner wand design, but some were just easier to move around on shag carpet.
-While the accessory mount is great, it is large/wide and does not have the innovative single latch and charge design as competitors. There is a small latch to hold the power plug but you still have to plug it in manually.
Overall this is a very nice stick vac and would be great in your bathroom, kitchen or pet area especially with smooth floors or areas that would make use of the UV head. Definitely recommend!

Budget Priced Cordless Stick Vacuum

The RAYCOP - Omni Power UV+ Cordless Stick Allergen Vacuum includes a separate brush head with built-in germ killing UV light. I own the Dyson Stick Vacuum V11 Absolute, the Dyson V10 Absolute, and Qty: 3) Dyson V8 Absolute. Here is a summary of the Pro's & Con's of this Stick Vacuum as compared with the Dyson Stick Vacuums:
PRO'S:
1- Color (White) is Beautiful / Clean looking & Modern. I prefer the White look to the Black, Gold, and orange of my other stick vacuums.
2- Cost. The RAYCOP is half the cost of the Dyson V10 Absolute & $100 lower than half the cost of the V11 Absolute. The RAYCOP is approximately the same cost as the Dyson V8, which was introduced around 2016.
3- Carpet / Hardwood Dual Brush Head converts with the touch of your foot.
4- Wall Hanging Bracket Included.
5- Removable Rechargeable Battery.
6- The 4) filters are washable; no need to replace them.
7- A Sanitizing Vacuum head is included. I tried it on bathroom floors. It is designed to kill germs by the onboard UV bulb. I have no way to evaluate it's effectiveness.
CON'S:
1- Loud, high pitch noise is very irritating. It is substantially louder than any Dyson.
2- The wall mount does not integrate with the power cord needed to charge the vacuum. You hang the vacuum on the wall bracket, then plug / unplug the power cord separately. Unlike the Dyson, which not only integrates the charging power cord in the wall mount, it actually hides the wire for a premium quality appearance, the RAYCOP requires the entire length of the wire to show in a messy, unsightly manner on your wall.
3- Removing / reinstalling the dust bin illustrates the biggest lack of engineering in the design. It is a snapping catch that requires 2 hands and a lot of patience. It is the opposite of the click, handsfree one button release on the Dyson.
4- Push the power button with your thumb on the RAYCOP (rather than a common sense traditional trigger), then wait for the motor to start. This is the only vacuum I have used that has such a long delay between pushing the Start button & hearing the motor start.
Need more power or doubt if you pushed it fully because the motor has not started yet? Press it a second time. Need still more power? Press it a third time. Want to switch to lower power to extend battery life? You have to keep pressing the power button until you cycle back to the beginning.
By contrast, the Dyson V11 switches 3 speeds automatically, depending on the torque actually needed by the brush head, or touch a button to manually override the automatic function. The V8 features a thumb selector switch for instant direct access to the various speeds.
5- Battery Life. I get 20 minutes, unless I keep the power to the lowest speed. In that case, I get approximately 30 minutes of battery life. RAYCOP claims 40 minutes.
6- Lift the brush head off if the floor and the motor stops on the brush head! I at first thought the unit was defective, as this eliminates the possibility of vacuuming any surface except horizontal. Dangle the head & tilt it the right way & it starts again.
7- The plastic crevasse tool attachment appears fragile & I doubt it will survive an active household.
8- The battery snaps into the vacuum head & makes electrical contact with it. Due to apparent build quality issues, I had to install & remove the battery from the plastic brush head multiple times before securing a dependable electrical connection. After pressing the battery very firmly into the vacuum head approximately 10 times, the electric power from the battery finally allowed the vacuum head to start.
9- Power, even on the 3rd (highest power) level, is less than the Dyson V8, yet the motor is screaming.
10- The 4) filters are a pain to deal with when emptying the vacuum.
11- The attachments, such as the extension tube & brush head, require you to push & hold a release button while inserting the attachments. This is awkward & requires a 2-hand maneuver.
12- The UV Head does not swivel, making proper cleaning difficult.
13- Only one battery is included. RAYCOP negated the benefit of a removable battery by not including a second battery. This would have properly addressed the short battery life issue, as well.
14- To check the battery level, you have to turn the vacuum on, then observe the 3) battery condition LED's. The Dyson & other brands feature a battery indicator that does not require energizing the vacuum.
15- The dual power Brush Head is more narrow than the Dyson, making the RAYCOP better suited as a quick picker-upper than as a vacuum for your entire floor, as this vacuum will require more passes, due to the narrow head.
16- The balance of weight on your hand is awkward. Unlike any Dyson, where the balance is engineered for low effort support, holding the RAYCOP is a chore, as your hand is constantly attempting to support the vacuum at the angle necessary to vacuum the floor. The location of the removable battery, the vacuum head & the dual brush do not appear to have been located in such a way as to achieve a balanced integrated unit.
CONCLUSION:
The RAYCOP Omni Power UV+ Cordless Stick Allergen Vacuum appears to target the low budget portion of the Stick Vacuum market. It offers some attractive features for the price. The primary selling points are the low price & the Germ killing UV Light. However, anyone considering this vacuum may wish to research the effectiveness of UV light & the amount of time the light needs to be over the surface area to actually kill germs. Due to the noise level, the difficult to remove dirt chamber, the inability to operate the Power Head on vertical surfaces & other aforementioned drawbacks, I do not recommend this Stick Vacuum.

First when using small attachments for vacuuming the exhaust air from motor keeps blowing in your face. The 2 floor attachments where they bend and angle vinyl hose does not seal dirt and particles escape as seen in pictures. Design and grip not the best for older people top heavy not enough slim profile. Pros the motor has powerful vacuum and pick up. The battery life per use is very good and easy to charge. Should have a light on floor attachments. The wall hanger is excellent for attachments and vacuum and very easily installed on basement wall. I think the design needs some improvment.

The Omni Power UV+ is a vacuum that does a great job at cleaning the rug that really ties the room together.
Starting with what comes included in the box. There are 2 main head attachments, one has the UV light built in, the other has the dual motor brush. Then you have a small brush attachment, a stem attachment, and a long arm attachment. There is also a rechargeable battery, a power cord and a mounting arm.
The filter(s) on the vacuum are very impressive. You can tell they put a lot of thought into engineering the vacuum. Best of all, they’re all washable. Once you get the hang of taking apart the filters to empty it - it becomes pretty easy.
After assembling the vacuum, the last step was to charge the battery before testing it out. The battery takes about 3 hours to charge from dead. Once I had the battery charged up, I decided to try out the UV+ head to see what it was all about. The Vacuum has 3 different levels of suction. The lowest level I found to be pretty weak, this mode is best suited for tile and hardwood floors. The second level was much better, it worked on carpet and still manages to run a decent amount of time without draining the battery. The 3 and most powerful level is really strong. It works on almost any surface, but it does drain the battery pretty fast, so I just decided to use the medium level.
With the UV+ head attached, I tried it out on my carpet. I quickly noticed that the vacuum was not sucking up that much on medium setting, so I switched it to the max level setting. That worked much better, but still didn’t quite pick up everything. The UV+ light is designed to kill viruses and bacteria by changing its DNA… I’m not really sure if it worked or not, but I can say it looks really cool vacuuming.
Next, I attached the dual motor head to try that out, I was really impressed with this one. There are 2 brushes on this one. The front brush or the “soft brush” is meant for hardwood, or tile, and when you want to switch to carpet, there is a little kick stand that you press which flips the soft brush up. This is very convenient especially if you have half tile and half carpet. I did notice that this attachment was able to pick up a lot more debris, and the suction was far more powerful.
Emptying the vacuum can be tedious, seeing how you have to take apart 4 different filters to clean everything out. It’s not hard, and the filters come apart very easy, but it becomes a pain having to do this every time you need to stop and empty it. Especially considering the jar isn’t that big.
Overall, I am really impressed with the Omni Power UV+. The design and engineering of the vacuum is top notch. The vacuum is very light weight, so it doesn’t kill your back halfway through cleaning. The battery will last a good 30-40 mins on the medium power settings, less on max and with the UV+ attachment. The dual motor attachment is really nice, and very convenient when switching from tile to carpet. The filters are all washable, so no need to have to purchase new ones. The only downside to the vacuum is the many filters you have to disassemble just to empty the jar. But after a few times, it quickly becomes easier, just tedious. I would definitely recommend this vacuum to anyone looking for a cordless vacuum for both tile and carpet.

Great buy. I move a lot and travel to hotels. This is great to ensure the place I am laying my head is clean. I really enjoy the several setting based off how much suction I need! It is pricey but the comfort its gives my family and newborn to play on the floor is worth it.

I will say this is the first vacuum I’ve ever seen with a built in Uv light which definitely sets it in a category if it’s own. But there are a few design choices that seem to have some pretty obvious drawbacks.
General use:
The vacuum itself has three variable speeds and each provide really good suction. It’s a fairly loud vacuum, but it does the trick on both hardwood and carpet floors. I really like the dual brush head that lets you switch between carpet and hardwood brushes. It works great and did a good job getting all the dust and crumbs it came across. The battery lasts long enough for me to vacuum my 1600 square foot house on low and that was able to get almost everything off my hardwood floors.
The uv light head works pretty well, though I will say the lack of swivel on the uv head makes maneuvering this head attachment somewhat awkward. I have no idea if it does anything beneficial for my floors, but I hear that uv light does work to disinfect whatever it shines on.
What I didn’t like:
While I liked this vacuum as a hardwood and carpet vac, there are a few design choices I didn’t care for. The first is the retractable wand attachment. It seemed really unnecessary since it just retracted about 6 inches and the rails made the airway super thin. So much so that it clogged constantly. Anything bigger than a goldfish would clog the whole airway.
The next odd design choice is the lack of swivel on the Uv head. It makes using it very awkward.
Emptying this unit is another issue all on its own. Rather than a quick release, you have to detach the canister then untwist it to dump. It seems like there wasn’t much thought out into this.
The last thing I disliked was the. Wall mount. Most vacuums in this price range have a dock that you just slide the vac in to start charging. That’s not the case here. The wall mount is nothing more than a glorified hook.
Overall I think this is a great vacuum for hardwood and carpet. The odd design choices were something that I noticed, but as far as vacuuming goes this works really well.

I have been using this vacuum for several days now and wanted to share some of my observations. First, things first. It is loud. NOt like jet engine loud, but substantially louder than any other cordless vacuums I have used. It's a high pitched whine that drives my dog out of whatever room I happen to be using it in. It's somewhat annoying, but not enough for me to stop using it. Next, the weight of the motor is above your hand when using it some it's a bit awkward until you get used to it. The dust cup is slightly smaller than I would like. As for the UV head, I obviously can't "see" that it's working, but there is a certain peace of mind knowing it should be. The runtime is good and allows me to cover the entire downstairs of my home at least twice with no issues. If you want longer time, you'll have to spring for a second battery. I haven't had a need for one though. The stand is a wall-mount only so that's something to keep in mind and also this unit will absolutely not stand up on its own. The suction power is more than acceptable and I feel like it truly cleans my floors well. If it were quieter and had a different stand, I'd likely give it 5 stars.
