My wife wanted a Dyson and after reading the reviews on this one we decided to give it a try knowing if it didn't perform, back it would go. It has been a month now and we couldn't be happier. It works great and does everything as advertised.

The vacuum is powerful but I was disappointed that the charge only goes for about 20 minutes and I need more time even to my small apartment that was not enough time. Then to charge it full again, you have to wait another hour or longer.

I was excited to try the Omni Power UV Vacuum, with a household of 7 a good reliable vacuum is essential. The vacuum was very well packaged, all parts were easy to remove from the packaging and assembly was quick and easy. First thing I noticed right off was how light the vacuum was, packaging said it was 6lbs, the light weight made it incredibly easy to maneuver over and up and down our stairs. It came with a variety of pieces including a crevice tool, a combination tool and wall mount. The crevice tool and combination tool were useful for getting in between sofa cushions, in between corners of the stairs, quick spills and messes. The vacuum can be converted from a stick vacuum to a hand held appliance, I was able to use it in my minivan, which was a bonus. One neat thing that I’ve never seen before is the UV+ feature, the Raycop Omni Power UV+ is unique in that it’s a natural, chemical-free way to destroy viruses and bacteria in your home and vehicles. It has a patent pending Dual Motor Brush Head to make cleaning different flooring types quick and easy. This vacuum can be used on wood, ceramic, stone, vinyl plank, cork or carpet. This vacuum has two brushes, but with two different motors that are digitally controlled to rotate at different speeds to optimize cleaning. Once the dirt, dust and trash is sucked up it is stored in a four stage filtration system, it uses PUREAir Hepa filtration so you don’t have to worry about dust blowing out or around it. The waste cannister is easy to remove and take apart for quick and easy cleaning. The filters are also washable and prevent bad odors and dust from building up inside the vacuum. The vacuum has 3 suction levels which include normal, power and turbo. The variety of settings lets you select the appropriate suction type for which ever surface you are working on. I really like that the removable battery last up to 40 minutes of active run time while on the standard mode. Finally you can store the Omni Power UV+and all of its accessories on the wall mount provided.

    Excellent Power, Major Flaw

This vacuum is light and super powerful. I have used 8 different cordless vacuums and this one is by far the most powerful. It is also the most expensive. It has several attachments including a UV brush head that kills germs with ultraviolet blue light. It is hard to tell if this actually works, however the technology is sound so I believe it does work to disinfect. I do like the ability to construct it as a hand vacuum. This allowed me to use it easily in the car and with it’s power it is the only cordless vacuum that actually cleaned the car floor and mats. It does not stand upright without support, however the unit comes with a very nice wall bracket that will hold the unit and it’s accessories – very good idea. I did like the design of the non-UV power head which had two power driven cleaning brushes and is excellent for non-carpet floors especially. One major downside is the mechanical design of how you connect the power heads and the other accessories. Normally when you connect items, the best design is to enable a part to slide on without any other action than just moving the parts together, and they lock after they connect. In the case of this design you must hold a button down then push the parts together and release the button. What happened to me in a couple instances was I pushed the power head onto the shaft without pressing the button fully, the button popped off and it took me 20 minutes to find the little spring that hopped out. The design is weak in that it should have a bevel that allows the part to be put on, without pressing the button. When removing two parts it is normal to have to press a button to release one from the other. This is a very important problem since I believe many people will knock the button and tiny spring off within a few days and lose the spring. Now the power head for example is free to drop off at any time. I am taking two stars off because, at the price of this vacuum, this is a very cheap design point. I can’t recommend this vacuum due to this flaw. The engineers need to fix this in the next iteration of this vacuum, then it would be 5+ stars since it is light and yet very powerful.

I'm loving the RAYCOP - Omni Power UV+ Cordless Stick Allergen Vacuum! It is small, lightweight, but with so much power! The battery last long, and the charge is only a few hours for a full charge from dead. One of the best features that this vacuum has is the UV sanitizing attachment. So you can vacuum and sanitize at the same time! The RAYCOP - Omni Power UV+ Cordless Stick Allergen Vacuum is very powerful. it has multiple suction strength settings for bigger messes. The vacuum comes with multiple attachments, and even a wall mounted bracket that makes storing the vacuum a breeze. Not just that, but you get a paper templet that makes drilling the necessary holes even easier. Everything fits so neatly into one small bracket. Testing the RAYCOP - Omni Power UV+ Cordless Stick Allergen Vacuum around home furniture, I was surprised at the amount of dust and other particles that this tiny handheld vacuum was able to suck up. My wife had been waking up with allergies a few days in a row, so I tried the vacuum with the UV light attachment on the pillow and our bed. The RAYCOP - Omni Power UV+ Cordless Stick Allergen Vacuum picked up lots of loose fabric. My wife's morning allergies went away, so I will attribute this success to the RAYCOP - Omni Power UV+ Cordless Stick Allergen Vacuum . Overall, I am very happy with the RAYCOP - Omni Power UV+ Cordless Stick Allergen Vacuum. I would recommend it to anyone!

A new twist on an old staple...

After over a year into what we are all calling the “New Normal” we are all more conscious of being able to clean in the best way possible. The RAYCOP - Omni Power UV+ Cordless Stick Allergen Vacuum is a key new tool in that arsenal. Its easy to assemble and has a great wall mount to conveniently charge and store the unit. Its not just a great cordless vacuum that will tackle any surface you need cleaning from wood, to stone to carpet and everything in between but it incorporates what to me is a game changer, the RayClean UV+ feature. As we have all heard, UV light destroys viruses and bacteria making them unable to reproduce etc which is the most natural way to combat them with no environmentally harmful chemicals. You can use the The RAYCOP - Omni Power UV+ as a stick vacuum upright or as a handled to get to stairs and those hard to reach places. The battery charges rather quickly, lasts about 40 Min in the Nornal mode but with the three suction levels Normal / Power / Turbo if you find yourself using the Power or Turbo the battery run time is reduced but I found it lasts sufficiently long enough to tackle any task that I had to do and then some. Yes its just a vacuum but with the new RayClean UV+ feature it might be time to upgrade, I know im glad I have it.

The cordless option is wonderful. Super easy to use. However it doesn't hold the best charge which is fine if you don't have much to vacuum such as a few rooms. Comes with its own wall mount which is very useful.

With all of the pricey vacuums out and the abundance of options this one sets the bar high! With the unique UV capability .. the simple breakdown..and easy to rinse and clean pieces, it's one of my favorite vacuums ever. It's light and easy to maneuver, powerful and leaves a fresh smell in the air after use. It's comfortable in hand with the buttons perfectly placed and easy to see. I'd highly recommend it to others

This Raycop stick vacuum is convenient and cleans well. It comes with a wall mount for hanging storage of the vacuum and attachments. All attachments work very well and 3 motor speeds add some versatility. Our whole house has hard flooring with some throw rugs and it hasn’t let us down. Works great on multi-surfaces! Depending on the power setting you’ll get a few cleaning sessions out of the battery. Just remember to charge it up after every use and you shouldn't have any problems. If you need a convenient and powerful stick vacuum I think you’ll be please with this one.

    Disappointing

I've used Dyson vacuums since their inception. I still have their two newer full sized floor vacuums, the large one and a smaller one that is easier to maneuver that my son liked to use when he was younger. But last fall I gave away my Dyson stick after testing the Tineco stick vacuum. So I was curious which would win the battle now. There are several disappointments right out of the gate for me on this vacuum. First, no "quick open" way to dump dust from the bin. The only way to empty it is to totally remove it from the vacuum, and even then there's not quite a quick release, it's a claw and pull tension type of latch, so you have to lift up one end, that loosens the other and moves it further away so it releases where it connects to the vacuum body. Like the release catches on a Jeep Wrangler's hood or something. So it's not quite as quick and easy to empty as most are. Another disappointment was that the brush heads STOP when you pick them up and they're not flat and level on the floor. Sometimes I will use the brush head to get the vertical area of couches or chairs, even the vertical rise on carpeted stairs. And with this vacuum, that's not possible. Nor heavy drapes or other things that in the past I've lightly ran a vacuum brush head over to catch things. This is a "safety feature" per the manufacturer, but for me it is a loss of a feature. I also have an awesome stand that I use to mount the vacuum and accessory holders to. Far better than putting it on a wall. Worked great for every stick vacuum so far since their holders are almost universally VERTICAL in orientation for the screws. This one is HORIZONTAL so there's no way I can use this stand anymore if I were to keep this one. So all of those other similar stands that people buy to hold stick vacuums like this wouldn't work either. Then there's the noise level. One thing I loved about my new Tineco that made it easy to give away the Dyson was that high pitched digital motor sound was buried and not so easily heard. So it's much easier on the ears. This one is even worse than the Dyson was, VERY high pitched and at a higher volume level than the Dyson. I'm surprised anyone would put out one that is this loud during use without trying to do something to muffle it somehow. The dual brush head is one thing I liked though. Often on a hard floor like tile or wood, a normal vacuum may have issues with some things, such as cheerios and other objects that often just get bulldozed before the brush can even touch them to help pull them into the suction. This one with the second soft brush that can come down helps give those things a chance to actually get vacuumed up. It's easy to push down, and a little button to press with the toe to easily raise it up when not needed on carpeting. But the dual brush head is so narrow - about an inch or more less width than the others I'm used to, which means more vacuuming since it covers less area with every pass. And the edge just is useless. I had a bit of paper on the edge of a carpet a bit away from the baseboard in my hallway, and this couldn't get it at any power level. It wasn't even right AGAINST the baseboard, where it's understandable that maybe something might not snag it. This vacuum kept not getting it even on the highest suction level. My Tineco grabbed it right away. I made a video of that to demonstrate that as well as the surprisingly high noise levels here, but unfortunately I can only attach photos, not videos. The battery level indicator is a bit disappointing as well. Even if the battery is removed, there's no test button anywhere to see what the battery level is. The only way to see is to actually turn on the vacuum for a moment. The UV head is the one thing that made this interesting for me, since it's a feature none of the other vacuums I own have. They say to pass slowly over the area, as if ironing, and make multiple passes. But they don't really say how long, since UV light needs to have time to actually do the job. Studies at John Hopkins University shows high touch areas take "only 15 minutes" to be disinfected by UV light. I have a UV light designed to be placed in a room and left alone for about 30 minutes. So I really have to wonder just how MUCH sanitizing will be done by the vacuum even going slowly, multiple times, over an area. Unfortunately being a normal person testing this at home I have no facilities to properly measure the effects of this UV lamp. But just knowing the other UV sanitizing things I have, including another large box to place things like cell phones and other household objects INTO so they're bathed by UV light, and how long they take, I honestly don't see how this is going to be at all effective and not just a gimmick. The power button is nice though, unlike some with triggers that have to be held, you push and let go, and it stays on. Push two more times to get through the power settings. A good thing is that unlike some other things with different settings, where you are forced to RUN THROUGH EVERY SETTING to reach "Off', this one, regardless of where you are, a long press will simply turn it off. So if you're doing a hardwood floor and don't need high speed and are running it on low, when you're done, just press and hold, no need to press to medium then high then off. It comes with a couple other small attachments, a crevice tool and a multi use tool with the bristles that you can slide up out of the way so it's just the plastic end, or slide them down to help with the surface you're trying to clean. This is a bit more tight for the attachments though, and they don't go on and off as easily as the other brands I've had. But one nice side effect is that this doesn't WIGGLE as much then with the long piece on it. Some you can feel the wiggle and movement, this is in there tightly with very little wiggle at the connection points. HEPA filter is easy to get at on the back end. The vacuum main body itself is also well constructed and solid. The handle is ergonomic and at a good angle to hold, easy to maneuver. I like the removeable battery, since that means a battery that dies doesn't leave you having to replace the unit or send it in for repair. But they missed an opportunity to really give extended runtime and only included a single battery. My Tineco included two so you could keep vacuuming after one died. And both charged simultaneously in the wall mount holder. This has no place to put an extra battery nor to charge it. And the final bad design choice is that there is no way to simply charge the vacuum by placing it in the holder, and no way to hide the cable. So the vacuum simply hangs on a hook and then you have to grab the dangling power plug and manually attach it to the vacuum, then unplug it when you're done charging or going to use it. Which makes it a lot less user friendly compared to every other one I've had. Unfortunately the only real plus I found here was the price, compared to the others I've had. But just being less expensive doesn't mean it's a better value when you get down to it. The fact that I couldn't get even a small bit of paper that was NEAR a wall with this shows that it just isn't that effective when it comes to doing what a vacuum is supposed to do, which is clean. I hadn't vacuumed my great room in a week or so, and so I used this on one half, and my Tineco on the other half. When I was done, I emptied both bins of any bits of dust, and then ran each vacuum over where the OTHER just did. I did both on their highest setting each time just to make sure. And that second pass, I had more debris again in the other vacuum than I had in THIS one, which just showed that the other one was getting a deeper clean. If it was a straight feature / usefulness comparison, this would get one star. But the fact that it's a couple hundred less than the other ones I have made it a bit less of an apples to apples comparison, so I'll settle for two. There is at least SOME value here for people who don't want to spend much, but that little extra money would get them SO much more.
