I have played this game around the time when it first came out. It’s really fun, and difficult at times (LOL). Anyway, this game is really fun and challenging. Many different characters to choose from (but some of them you do have to unlock throughout the game). Many different levels (my favorites are the ones when you have to match your game play with the cool songs). The game arrived in excellent condition. Thank you, Best Buy!

This is a 10/10 game. I used to play the original Rayman in the 90s and had a great time playing through this title with my two kids. The gameplay, graphics, and the fluidity of the animations are amazing. The sound track is phenomenal.

As a kid I loved playing Rayman on my GameBoy. Through the years platformers have started to lose their appeal to me, but recently with Donkey Kong Country: Tropical Freeze and Rayman: Legends I can confidently say platformers are back. Now they may never return to the level of prominence they had in the 90s, but this game and the aforementioned DKC: TF have developers that really understand the fun mechanics that can make these games feel like more than simply running and jumping your way to the end of the level. The musical levels that are at the end of each world are some of the best and jumping to the tune of Black Betty is extremely enjoyable. The definitive edition is packed with content and even includes some levels remastered from Rayman: Origins.

This is one of the best and most underrated games on the switch. Crisp and highly detailed graphics combined with plentiful music and a great story make this a must have game. The graphics quality in both foreground and background are stunning with no jagged edges like some other nintendo games, and the music really fits the levels well. There is a ton of variety in collecting lums and teensies to unlock a whole bunch of extra content. The levels themselves are huge and very different, ranging from forests to dungeons to underwater. There are many secrets to discover in each level to collect all the trophies. I am almost done with legends and have two more worlds left, but as you play this game, you also slowly unlock paintings from origins. So I suspect I have a whole new game waiting after the main version is done. All around very well done and seems like it was made for the switch. The levels play super smooth, the only slowdown I saw was for a few seconds in the beginning of the loading screens. An update fixes this if it bothers you, but you have less time then to sometimes collect a heart container before the game starts. This is no kid game, many of the levels are very difficult and will have you pulling out your hair and maybe throwing your switch. But eventually are beatable with practice. You will die a lot in this game, and there is a fail counter in the stats screen if you get curious. There are many checkpoints in each level so dying does not mean you restart from the beginning thankfully. Time attack levels are the worst and very challenging. The replay value is high for some worlds, just depends which are your favorites. Overall this is one of the best games out on the switch now. It even makes use of the touchscreen for an entire world. Definitely worth the price for a masterpiece of a game, especially if you were disappointed that there was no 2D mario on the switch.

When this version of Rayman Legends first released, it had some issues that made it less than definitive (as this version is named), however they’ve patched it (with a relatively small patch), and all those issues have been resolved. If you haven’t played Rayman Legends yet, I’d definitely recommend picking this up, because it is one of the greatest 2D platfromers ever made. The Switch version has the Wii U exclusive content (Nintendo costumes), it also features the touch controls (optionally) when playing in handheld mode, which were only in the Wii U and Vita versions, and with the multiplayer focus of the Switch, this is a great game to pick up—has four player multiplayer, and you can play with a single joy-con.

Very fun platformer, even more fun, and in my opinion best played, with two or more people. The art is excellent and the music is great. Still doesn't quite beat out Mario games for me, but still great.

One of the best Rayman games

The game is quite well made, possibly the best Rayman game ...well I kinda bounce between it and Origins because they're so well made and charming. But the Switch version has issues and it's down to Ubisoft and compression. Rayman is a platformer with wonderful momentum, it's simple but gets very challenging with it's level design in the later game. You got a punch a spinning punch which you do while holding run (gives you more speed to boost) a jump obviously and a hover, there's other powers that come and go and you get the jist of it. Your goal is to save as many of a these characters that are in every level, they're ...the Stars of Mario so to speak. They allow you to play more levels when you get more. You also collect lums which are pretty much points that unlock other things such as Rayman Origins levels. The visuals are great, the action is great, levels are wonderful and the characters are charming as heck and there's a lot of skins on variety for each of them.

My kids are loving this game! I love it because I know it's family-friendly and inoffensive. It's a nice break from some of the other things they play that I have to constantly monitor. I have three kids and they love that they can play this together. They've played the regular game mode but really seem to enjoy the "soccer" mode the most--they get very competitive with it! It's also nice because it manages to engage all three of my kids, even though the oldest is 11 and the youngest is 6. They have a lot of fun playing together and no complaints that it's too hard or too simple! If you're a parent looking for a nice, fun game that will keep your kids involved (like me)--especially if there's a wide range of ages--then this game is for you! Bonus that we got it at a great price (thanks Gamers Club!).

The game is a blast to play. I haven't played the other versions (ps3, ps4, xboxone, etc.), so I cant tell you how this one compares. The extra modes such as the soccer game can be played against a friend or against a bot...repetitive...but really fun. The framerate doesn't seem to be 60, but I haven't experienced any game-breaking frame drops or bugs. The graphics are gorgeous, especially docked at 1080. One thing I tell everyone though, the Switch gets very hot when in docked mode and 1080 mode. If you turn down the video settings on your switch to 720p, the game will not be quite as sharp, but it seems as if the Switch runs a little cooler. Great game overall.

This is my favorite Switch game so far. I like that it isn't 3d. Wonderful graphics, adorable little characters. Challenging but doable. Multiple levels of difficulty. Also, the background sounds and music are great.
