This keyboard is simply amazing. There isn't literally anything that the keys can't be programmed to do. Each and every key's function can be changed to another key function, a mouse function, multimedia function or windows shortcut function. In addition, there are 8 dedicated macro keys and a Command Dial that by pressing scrolls through 8 different functions that it can be used for: Keyboard Brightness, Windows Zoom, Switch Applications, Track Jogging, Track Selector, Vertical Scrolling, Horizontal Scrolling, and Switch Browser tabs. There are also dedicated multimedia keys and a multimedia roller for volume. After saying all that about the keys and functions, really the coolest feature of the keyboard is the customizable RGB lighting. The effects that can be created are infinite. The Razer Synapse 3 app is required to do any of the customization, whether lighting or keyboard function. There are ten preprogrammed lighting effects. Each can be customized, and they can be layered. For example, I started by using the wave effect that flows across the keyboard from one side to the other, I added static on top of that to make my WASD keys a solid color, then added Spectrum cycling so the keys were constantly changing colors. The colors can be customized for each effect. (See photos.) The keys are Razer's own mechanical green switch keys that click when pressed. They take just the right pressure, they're sure and responsive. The keyboard frame is aluminum, not plastic, and an attachable leatherette wrist rest is included. One feature that I'm scratching my head over is the pass-through ports. You can connect a device to the keyboard USB type A port, then connect the keyboard USB type C pass-through port to the computer. You're still taking up a USB type A port on your computer. The keyboard comes with 2 USB type A to C cables. It would have been better if they included a C to C cable to give a little versatility of port use. Notwithstanding the above, which takes away nothing, this keyboard is fun, functional, terrific looking and worth the price even though it's a little on the expensive side.

This software unlocks a world of customization, from RGB lighting adjustments to button mapping and macro programming. The software also offers game-specific RGB layouts, which automatically activate when you launch a game. For instance, launching Overwatch triggers a vibrant, game-reactive lighting layout that not only looks stunning but also provides valuable in-game information. The Q key, for example, flashes when your ultimate ability is ready, providing a visual cue that can give you an edge in the heat of battle. The BlackWidow V4 Pro is a joy to use, with each key press delivering a satisfyingly crisp response. The default lighting reaction to each key press is akin to a visual narrative, providing information about the function of the scroll knob based on its color setting. The play, mute, and advance media buttons seamlessly integrate with the overall lighting layout, reverting back to it shortly after use. The keyboard also offers two sets of stands for a 6 or 9-degree incline, catering to your comfort preferences. The wrist pad, adorned with bottom surround LEDs, adds an extra layer of lighting immersion to your setup and is as comfortable as it is visually appealing. However, the keyboard is not without its quirks. The side buttons, preprogrammed for tasks like switching desktop layouts or taking screenshots, can be accidentally pressed when moving the keyboard. This can lead to unintended commands being sent to your desktop. Despite this minor inconvenience, the side buttons add to the keyboard's functionality and can be a useful feature for those who can adapt to their placement. In conclusion, the Razer BlackWidow V4 Pro is a remarkable piece of hardware that justifies its price tag with its robust build, extensive customization options, and immersive lighting effects. While the wrist pad's durability remains to be seen, the keyboard itself is built to last. This keyboard is highly recommended for those who prefer a full-sized keyboard, don't require wireless functionality, and have the necessary expansion slots for passthrough devices. The Razer Blackwidow Pro, Version 4, adds on to a what I would expect from a best-in-class gaming keyboard. Seriously, I didn’t think a gaming keyboard could get better in the ways that Razer has nailed it with this keyboard. I would suggest any gamer or creative take a serious look at this keyboard as the features demand consideration. Pro: • RBG and Customization. • Build quality, this keyboard has the premium build down. • Features: Keys, quick buttons, Command dial, removable USB C cables. Cons: • Loud when in use. • The wrist guard looks pretty and feels good, but the material seems like it will peel with heavy use. The RBG on this keyboard is a lot. The Keys and all around under glow, including the wrist guard, is out there. The fact that you can customize and adjust on the fly makes this any gamers dream. Razer synapse is rather simple to use. Synapse has plenty of functionality if you want to make it more customized, like custom light programs or syncing across devices. I still can’t get over the wrist guard lights though; it gives off an added flair that most keyboards miss out on. Even with just out of the box functionality, you can tell that Razer went to great lengths to design this for gamers or creative users, all the default settings and Command buttons add to everyday productivity even though this keyboard mainly aims for the Gamer user. The Command Dial has so many options: Keyboard brightness, Zoom, App switching, Fast forward, Rewind, Next, Previous, Vertical Scroll, Horizontal Scroll, and even Browser Tab scroll. Usually, this can be a bit much for one multi-function button, but with the color light to denote which function it makes it quite easy to remember each function. Quick buttons on the side are a nice touch, allowing a quick snip, pop up of the game tab or swapping between apps. The buttons are placed in such a way that that they are easy to access while being out of the way, so no accidental presses happen mid game. Additionally, the USB C plugged in cables for both power and USB A are a great touch. It allows transportation and storage to be easier, and in case the main cable hits a snag that causes damage, it can be replaced unlike the built-in cable style keyboards. This model has the Razer Green mechanical switches, which are clicky and tactile, which comes out great for typing and gaming. The keycaps all hold well and are easy to type on. Worked out of the box without having to activate or setup the software. You can record Macro’s on the fly without needing the software using the function key (fn) and F9 to start and stop the recording of the key combination. Though some may find the software easier to manage the customizations. Honestly, if you are looking for an amazing keyboard that will outlast a few PC builds and provide you with as much functionality as possible, this is the one! Not to mention the keyboard is a lightshow by itself and doesn’t just look nice but feels just as nice.

-Ergonomics- The attachable wrist pad is very comfortable and magnetically attaches to the keyboard. The keyboard can be inclined with the two notches at the back. The green switches are clicky and have good tactile feedback. I've gamed on blue and brown switches, and these greens feel slightly less clicky than my blues. My hands felt a little less fatigue and pain due to the wrist pad. -Performance and Features- This is a full size keyboard with ultra low response time to help you get those clicks in faster than your opponents. In FPS games this is essential. Polling rate can be adjusted up to 8000hz! Never seen this high before, most gaming keyboards are sitting around 1000hz which means it updates its state or sends a new signal every millisecond. A high polling rate equals more keystrokes detected which is great for gaming. There are 5 macro keys on the left side of the keyboard and 3 hidden macro keys on the left. These are great for programming key combinations or frequently used keys used in specific games. There is a multimedia command knob in the top left that's great for jumping through default settings such as keyboard brightness, zoom, switching applications, and track jogging, but this can also be programmed through the Razer Synapse 3 software for other custom functions. There are also media buttons below the volume wheel that are good for movies and music. There are a host of other customizable features on the software where you really take advantage of customizing the keyboard to fit your gaming style. I love the volume wheel on the top right of the keyboard for a quick volume adjustment whether you're gaming, listening to music, or watching a video. This wheel can also be programmed for other functions. This keyboard is Full RGB so you can open up chroma studio and fully customize this keyboard down to each individual key. If you want to go with the preset lighting there are about 10 key combos you can shift through for the classic lighting scenarios such as static, breathing, ripple, wave, etc... If you need a quick macro assignment while gaming you can use the on the fly macro recording combo and assign it to any key. -Conclusion- This keyboard checks all the boxes: Full RGB, high performance mechanical switches, built in macro keys, wheels, command knobs and a very comfortable wrist pad to lessen the wrist and hand fatigue. The performance is legit. It feels good and keys snap back instantly. You will need space for a full size keyboard but there are a nice set of extra features that come with it. This is the complete package for gaming and media, and it looks great.

As an avid gamer, I recently got the Razer BlackWidow V4 Pro Full Size Wired Keyboard with Green Switch Gaming, and I must say I am thoroughly impressed with its overall look and feel. The magnetic RGB wrist rest is also a huge selling point, while helping with reducing wrist fatigue and allowing for a more relaxed posture while gaming, while also syncing with the RGB on the keyboard is a great feature. In terms of connectivity, the keyboard has a wired USB-C to USB-A connection, providing a stable and reliable connection, and the inclusion of USB passthrough that allows for easy access to other USB-C to USB-C or USB-A devices. Tip, make sure you plug the USB-C cord into the far right port or you won't be able to use the keyboard, if you plug it into the passthrough port. The multimedia knob on the left of the keyboard allows you to control 4 different settings with the RGB brightness, Windows Zoom, Switch between applications, and Track jogging. While these are great, the synapse software does not allow you to change the Knob settings to your liking. Along with the Knob on the left side of the Keyboard are 3 programmable macro buttons that you can decide what they do to better your gaming experience. Overall, the Razer BlackWidow V4 Pro Full Size Wired Mechanical Green Switch Gaming Keyboard is an excellent gaming keyboard, packed with features that enhance the gaming experience. Its durable construction, tactile switches, customizable keys, and vibrant RGB lighting makes it a great pick for any gamer looking for a high-performance wired keyboard.

This is something different, with a completely detachable wrist rest with RGB and lovely tactile switches, it's a decent beast, but it has plenty of pros and cons. Pros: - Amazing wrist rest that's perfectly soft and plush for your hands with great ergonomic lift - Extra USB port on the back which can provide that extra reach - Amazing feeling buttons (for the most part) with plenty of tactility. - RGB, of course if that's what your into. -Smooth and consistent key presses. Cons: - Spacebar tends to bottom out a lot, causing it to sound hollow and unpleasant. - Mounting system for the wrist rest is a little poor, with lack of grip on the rest itself causing it to slip off occasionally. - Keys are tall, making it hard to see the media controls at the back - The media controls themselves have labels that are incredibly hard to discern, making it difficult to know what you are pressing. - The additional mappable macro keys move the normal keys to the side just enough to throw off your muscle memory if you are coming from an old standard keyboard - The expandable USB port requires you to feed a separate cable from the computer, making it kind of pointless in the end. -The box is rather bland, with the inside just being standard brown Overall I would say that it is a great keyboard, but with the massive cons list it's definitely hard to recommend, especially at this price point. If you like the RGB and the tactile clicky switches provided by Razer, I would say it would be nice, but to wait until their is either a sale or a coupon available to bring that price down some. For anybody else however, I would say you should get something different, possible for a lot less since it cost's just so much.

This is the first Razer keyboard I have used and so far I am very impressed with it. The first thing I noticed before even taking it out of the box was just how heavy it was. Then when I actually got it out of the box I realized it was because the keyboard is just built different than most others. The housing appears to be all metal/aluminum and all the knobs are top quailty feeling liked solid aluminum pieces. They all respond quickly and smoothly and so far I havnen't noticed any sort of lag or delay when using for PC gaming. The colors are also very nice and being able to adjust the patterns or brightness via the app but also chaning the brightness via the knob on the upper lefthand side is also nice. The buttons are remappable for whatever functions you want as with most keyboards. Right now I just left them defaulted for the ones above the keypad to mute or play whatever media I have open. There are also buttons on the left side of the keyboard to access hotkey functions and by default seem to map to screenshot, windows game bar (for me is the xbox gamebar), and quick window access or the multi-desktop toggle. They are sensitive so I do sometimes hit them unintentionally but you can disable them. Overall the software to remap the colors is ok, unless you have all Razer products though it doesn't really see anything else like my PC which is an ASUS ROG with lighting but requires the Asus software to manage it and isn't seen in the Razer software that I have been able to figure out. Overall I am love the feel of the keys on this keyboard and the mechancial clicking that it makes. If you aren't a fan of that then stay away from this keyboard. If you do appreciate it and have other Razer products then this will fit nicely into your Razer Ecosystem to coordinate the lighting effects.

When it comes to keyboard, comfort and customization is the name of the game. This keyboard certainly addresses those key areas of focus from my experience. Firstly, this keyboard is bright and lights up the room with the bright under-light of the keys. Its build is sturdy yet light weight which never seems to come hand in hand for keyboards. When it comes to the comfort of this keyboard it is very evident that thought was put into the experience of how the user uses the keyboard. One small yet significant upgrade to this model is the adjustable "kickstands" that are used to put the keyboard at a slight increase. They are located under the board on the corners. The design of these allow the user to have them fully extended or partially, allowing for max comfort to those who would otherwise not use them. Lastly, the bindable knobs that are located on the keyboard allow for additional customization, from a key binding standpoint. I enjoy my volume knox being mechanic, vs digital so I altered the bindings to do to. All in all, this clicky keyboard fits all of my needs in terms of both comfort, design and responsiveness. I would highly recommend this to those in the market for a gaming keyboard.

The build is solid, and the plush wrist rest makes a huge difference for comfort during long hours at the desk. The RGB on the BlackWidow V4 Pro is in a league of its own, especially with the underglow that wraps around the chassis and the wrist rest. Beyond the looks, the dedicated macro keys and the multi-function command dial are game-changers for productivity and streamlining my setup. It feels like a premium command center rather than just a keyboard. This keyboard is a beast. The response time is lightning-fast, and the overall construction feels incredibly durable. Between the customizable Razer Chroma lighting and the convenience of the extra media controls, it’s easily the best mechanical keyboard I’ve used. Highly recommended for anyone who wants a "full-size" flagship experience.

Title says it all, but allow me to preface this by saying i came from a 3/4 full Keyboard. It's exceptionally well made genuinely does not feel cheap especially when typing, and being able to have a nice pillow under your wrists. So many presets for all your RGB color loving dorks. Custom ones are just as easy when using the Chroma Application(The wrist pad that magnetically attaches also lights up). Media buttons(I wish the symbols would light up, not just the base of each)and the fly wheel(s) are a wonderful touch, the top left of the two lets me flip from game to whatever app i have open at the press of a button (no pun intended). The right one lets me quickly adjust the volume just as easily which is nice not having to tab out just to get to Spotify. The 5 Macro buttons are fun to use depending on said application and are pretty straight forward. The buttons on the lefthand side are pretty neat still trying to figure how to utilize them them. All in all there is a lot to do with the keyboard alone. Overall super fun to use and worth every penny.

I adore this keyboard! For starters, this keyboard comes with Razer’s green switches which are nice and clicky, but not too clicky. It’s also a full size keyboard which honestly can be kind of hard to find in white. The keys themselves are ever so slightly textured on the top, which is a nice feature. It comes with a wrist rest which is very comfortable when you’re on the computer for long hours. It also comes with a USB port on the back of the keyboard that you can use to charge or connect another device, if you so choose. The RGB lighting is a very nice touch and when used with Razer’s software can be totally customized to look however you’d like. Lastly, this keyboard comes with several addressable macro keys and even a couple buttons on the side of the keyboard that you can program to do just about anything you would like.

This keyboard is fantastic. Has everything you will ever need and I love the clicky part for keyboards. Not a silent keyboard person. Lighting is fantastic especially in a dark room.

Love this keyboard. It looks awesome and is tough and robust. Keys can be replaced if they become degraded. The wrist pad lights up, too. You can create programmable keys that type out your entire email address or whatever you type frequently. Volume pause and play knobs. Its very cool.

This was my first ever keyboard for my newly built PC. My buddy recommended this and I’ve been going for a sleek white look on all my parts and I chose this keyboard after doing extensive research and I have to say I’m extremely impressed with the chroma app RGB control. The clickiness of the keys is fantastic and again the RGB lighting is out of this world very great product I’ve had it for about a month now highly recommend it’s a good price point as well for a full keyboard.

Pretty sure it’s only keyboard that has a lit up wrist rest super responsive, super fast, bright colors, amazing mechanical keyboard. My only problem is the racer software is becoming very heavy and complicated.

This is my first mechanical, or gaming keyboard, I have ever purchased. I was a little wary at first, due to also using it work work, but it is a solid, well built keyboard. Some may complain about the lack of Bluetooth, but honestly wired is the way to go as it decreases the number of issues you'll run into, plus it is more responsive. The wrist rest is a nice bonus, it is extremely comfortable and removable if you so choose. The RGB backlighting is not only cool but also helpful when working in dark environments. The only downside I can think of is that this keyboard is BIG. If you don't have space on your desk for a big keyboard, then this may not be for you. Also, It requires an extra cord, on top of the power cord you plug into your device, if you want the single USB 2.0 port to function on your keyboard. If it was a faster port, then I wouldn't mind this, but being only USB 2.0 it's not worth it for me to add the extra cable (it does not look great). Overall though, it's a solid well made and well functioning keyboard, for both gaming and work.

Love my Razer keyboards. I have been using them almost exclusively on my personal PC for over a decade. I still have my BW v2, V3, and Huntsman still sitting here as well. None of them have died - I just like to upgrade to the shiniest ones. This has not disappointed. The media wheel is BRILLIANT - no loss of control, no random volume changes - very reliable. The keyboard has macro keys in a standard column - AND keys on the left edge of the keyboard as well! The wrist rest is very comfy and stay attached really well with the magnetic grip it uses. keys are bright, and very clacky. (Love that). It weighs enough I could fight off a bear with it. (Love that too). Absolutely love this keyboard, can't recommend it enough.

This is the best keyboard i have every purchased from best buy. It does everything i could ever ask for, so many macro keys and nice tactile button press! The wrist rest is the best of the razor high end lineup i definitely recommend this to anyone who wants an amazing gaming keyboard!
