This keyboard lasted me until just recently when I finished my master's thesis. I destroyed the h and k keys and without it being hot-swappable, it didn't last. RIP

Amazing Product

I've gone through countless keyboards, some manufacture error, some overused, some not my type. As a picky keyboard user, I can proudly say I've finally found a keyboard I'm happy to keep and use for as long as I need one. Not only a streamer, but a graphic designer, photographer, and videographer, this keyboard helps me across the board. The tactile, yet seemingly avoidable clicks when it comes to streaming and not wanting your keyboard to be louder than your voice, are right in the Goldilocks zone. On top of this, the ability to include programmable options for lighting up certain keys in different programs is amazing. When I am using photoshop for an extended period of time and am tired and forget my keybinds, all I have to do is look down and the keyboard has them lit up for me. This board does everything, and it's the best one I've come by to date.
(It's also the perfect size and I don't have to worry about sticking my keyboard on top of my Firefly and wasting space anymore.)

A sidegrade to replace my last TE Blackwidow

So, I got my last gen Tournament Edition replaced via the Geek Squad protection. Overall? I'm content with the device. Not ecstatic.
The 'issues' I'm having are:
- The lack of a USB passthrough. It's not common place, and this really is just nitpicking. However, It makes a setup look cleaner, and is more convenient to plug your mouse into the Keyboard. Pairing it with the G900 from Logitech. I have the wireless option, but use wired.
- The green switches are... spongy (?) when compared to the last generation. I don't know if it's just my keyboard or what. However, the keys feel closer to a membrane press to me. I still get the audible click, not as loud as last gen. I can also hear the springs. I don't like that noise, not at all.
- A real minor "problem" but it's here... I preferred the lighting on the last generation due to the white under the keys. Made it seem like the keyboard was actually glowing.
I do, however, prefer the built-in cable. Rather than the mini-USB plug in the last generation. It came loose and had disconnected, thus the replacement.
I can't say that I care to recommend this product to anyone for any specific reason. It's not bad. It could be better.

Good keyboard, wrong description on site

The description for this keyboard is wrong. This keyboard is the Razer Blackwidow X Tournament Edition. It's entirely different from the regular Blackwidow Tournament Edition. The description on the site says it has a detachable cable and a carrying case included, it does not. The original Blackwidow TE did, and it looks like they just copy pasted the description from the old version to the new listing.
As for the keyboard itself, it's great so far. The switches feel very nice, and are similar to cherry MX blue switches. It's also very compact which is great for someone like me who want's to maximize desk space at the cost of losing a numpad. The build quality is also alot nicer than previous Blackwidow keyboards I've owned in the past, this time the top plate is a nice solid metal, with the keys being exposed. I think it's a much nicer design, but since the entire top is exposed there is nothing for the lighting to reflect off of so it's not as bright as the previous models. There's also nice cable routing on the bottom of the board, so if you like to turn your keyboard on an angle while you're playing like me you can have the cable for it running out of the side instead of the top. The biggest change that I like is the font on the keycaps. The previous models had this weird childish looking font on the keycaps, but this one has a nice normal looking font that's very crisp.
The keyboard is an overall 4/5 for me, but I'm rating it a 1/5 until they fix the listing on the site. As a customer I feel like it's misleading (i could care less for the carrying case and removable cable, but other customers who actually care about them will be upset) and as an employee it just makes us look bad and creates customer disappointment. I'll update this review when the listing is changed, and over the life of the product as far as durability goes.

Over 1 month of use, keys are still clicky and no problems. Easy to disassemble and clean. Multi-color programmable function is very nice feature. Definitely take advantage of price match during Black Friday.

So, I hate to have to give this a 1star review because it is a great keyboard... but there is very VERY clearly a case that is shown in the pictures of the item I'm purchasing that does NOT COME WITH THE ITEM.
The keyboard is self is really cool. Louder than it's plastic brothers, but the lighting effect is really cool and the metal parts makes it feel quality. I assume it's louder because it's taping metal over plastic. Quality buy, especially for travel
JUST WISH IT HAD THE CASE THAT WAS SHOWN TO COME WITH IT... Maybe I should just buy razer stuff direct...
