I purchased this product with goals in mind. Portability, ease of use, and functionality with standards set. I needed something I can take with me to process real time 3d rendering of drone footage for gaming development and mesh creations from scenery into 3d objects. Though this purchase was very recent, I feel strong enough to review it a it has already exceeded my expectations. The dedicated graphics with nvidia is much more stable than my rx580 and desktop graphics I use for active gaming. The ssd is faster than my 2TB had and an upgrade to Windows 10 was a must. Out of box, I noticed an improvement with setup and ease of use. Backlit keyboards are wonderful and this one allows you to turn the brightness just like a desktop screen for both the screen and keyboard independently. Updates were far superior than the original Windows 10 public release and driver comparability had all very quick recognition, which I have not experienced with all of my devices in one go before. They really stepped up, and this laptop keeps up easily. Pricey, yes, but for my needs it exceeds and that is better than compromising. It has everything even a qualified apple compatible thunderbolt connection for display extensibility, which is wonderful for editing. I have zero complaints so far and even running many cpu and you heavy programs at once, the fans kick in to support the cooling quite well. A big internal plus is the size of the processor is easy to cool because it is smelter than normal laptop processors but still outperforms many. Speakers are right on the keyboard sides which is a plus over having then rear facing. Fill hd display is crisp and works great with my external monitor. Will update if any issues but so far so good!

I bought this because the build quality reminded me of MacBooks. This has a decent video card. Runs smooth, quick boot up, dencent build quality. Loud fans and heat. But for laptop this thin with gaming options what do you expect. No issues 10 months in so far.

Keyboard looks really cool and it runs really fast. But when it's working hard and the fan kicks in, it's super loud. Not a big deal if you have a headset on though.

I have the 1080p version and would recommend the step up to a touch panel at this price point. My only major gripe is the function row is not fully backlit so they are useless in the dark. If you aren't utilizing the 1060, the xps line is the better option

I recently picked up this laptop. So far it performs great for work and gaming. It does run a little hot when you're running it at high settings/gaming but I expected that with a thin, lightweight frame. Definitely but the protective Razer Armor sleeve with it.

My son needed a laptop for college (computer science) and also wanted to upgrade gaming computer. This seems to fit both needs. Only con so far is it gets warm with extended use

very fast machine. No lag. My son has it for gaming and loves it. I also purchased the Razer armor case and highly recommend it to protect the laptop while in a backpack etc. the machine is probably overkill unless you need the speed for a hard core gamer.

It's really difficult for me to explain why I love this computer. On paper, it's a great computer: it's got great design, the specs are rocking. It can run anything and everything without breaking a sweat. I've been thoroughly impressed. But there's a subjective piece to it that I love that I can't put my finger on. I have been more creative since picking up this computer than I have in years. I'm using it to write a novel, I've been doing 3D Modeling again... I use it far more as a creative machine whereas most of the machines I've had in my life up to this point have been content consumption machines. I don't know why that is. Is it because it's my first PC after 12 years of Macs? Maybe. Is it the most powerful machine I've had in years? Not necessarily. It's just a really great computer. You should buy one.

This laptop is impressively powerful in a sleek sexy case. I would recommend it completely for a small portable gaming package. I have had some issues with a few of the audio drivers, I had to reinstall some things but really NBD and likely more of a microsoft issue. Only problem I have with this device is the fan noise and honestly, what can you expect for a 1060 crammed into this tiny case. Love it all around!

Excellent laptop when works. Very ergonomic, sleek, fast, loud speakers, 4K output. Fans spins up like its 2008 laptop when under extreme load. Which is fine. However Razer QA is questionable. My laptop is not powering on. I have not updated its Bios or hacked any of the drivers. This is within a week of purchasing, If its a $500 laptop that breaks is one thing but for 2grand + its hard to digest especially if you are mac user, reliability is paramount and that's lacking here. Its a laptop you want to love but fall short.

Works great but only negative is the loud noise when playing games.

This is an excellent laptop in terms of specs alone, but it doesnt work as well as I would have liked. The palmrest and keyboard get painfully hot when gaming and the fans are much louder than other thin form factor gaming laptops. Another problem i ran into is the ability of the matte black aluminum to pick up fingerprints and smudges. Just holding the laptop would make noticeable smudges, which, against the black body, is quite ugly. I found myself trying to wipe them off, which isnt easy either. The keyboard feels very natural to type on and the trackpad was acceptable. In my opinion, there are much better alternatives out there that cost much less.

This is such an amazing laptop even with the pricetag. It's so powerful and runs all games at 1080 on max.

Great stylish machine that comes with premium price tag

This laptop deliveries on my expectation. I only gave it 4 stars because the fan noise is so loud when gaming. But i guess that is the trade off for having such a small chassis. Overall I am very happy with this purchase and would recommend it.

the laptop ran well and i liked the Razer features, however any time you started up games it became extremely loud, I understand it is going to be louder during games but this one was extremely loud. almost drowns out the game audio.
