Customers are delighted by the Blade 15.6" gaming laptop's impressive performance and solid build quality, frequently praising its portability and excellent display refresh rate. However, some users noted that the laptop can get quite warm during intensive use and that the price point may be high for some consumers. The loud fan noise during gaming sessions was also a recurring concern for a few customers.

Impressive Gaming Laptop, But!!!

I checked online and read so many gaming laptop reviews, and came across Razer, so did some back ground search on the company and was impressed with the CEO. Note, I'm note a fan of Asian company's unless it's Japanese, aka Sony, but Razer is pretty cool, in my books. So, only grip I have is something that is common in all laptops, is the heat and sound, unless you have a Apple Laptop, you are going to run a little noisy or the heat sucks, but with that I'm not disappointed in the Razer Laptop, I'm happy with. I heard customer support sucks, so cross your fingers, that you have no problems.

I am a music producer and a gamer. For years I've used MacBook Pro but after breaking by 2nd Mac in two years I decided to switch it up and try something new! Best decision I've made in a long time! This thing is a beast!!! Only complaint is it can get very hot when doing extensive work or gaming. Not a big deal, you'll just need a surface to set it on because it gets too hot for your lap. I highly recommend this product and joining the Razer Cult!

If you are lucky enough to grab a Razer blade 15 that doesnt have one of the many quality control issues, assembly errors, ips light bleed on the panels and bad thermal paste jobs. This laptop is a thing of beauty and all those human error issues of assembly and quality control problems are a shame. Do you dare play the Razer blade lottery? If so you may be doing the RMA exchange. This laptop really is gorgeous.

Terrible experience!
Purchased the Blade 15 only a few weeks ago and within the first few weeks the screen had cracked while in the carrier case during transportation. There was no mishandling of any type. It was carried in a regular manner with care. The issue was a design flaw relating to the screen, yet when it was returned for repair under warranty, I was informed that the damage was not covered as it was due to mishandling. Again, there was zero proof of mishandling, not a single scratch. There was also proof to the contrary in the form of complaints from a number of other individuals who had experienced the same issue with their screen without any fault on their behalf.
Notwithstanding this, I asked for a quote on what the proposed damages would cost and they informed me it would be at a cost that was half of the cost eventually invoiced to me. Nothing changed between the original quote and the invoice. There was no additional damage. The only issue was the cracked screen which was due to a design error and yet they doubled the cost of the original quote to me in their final invoice after refusing to cover it under warranty.
The whole experience has been incredibly disappointing and despite a number of efforts to resolve the issue, I was still forced to pay for something that should have been covered by warranty and at minimum, should have been within the range of the original quote provided.
I do not recommend purchasing this product.

Two months ago i bought this laptop for architecture uses, since then it has been nothing but problems, first it had problems staying connected to wifi, and still has problems with 5 ghz wif, then when you close the laptop and open it again it sometimes reboot the entire system and you loose some of the work you have been doing.
Finally one day the battery stopped charging and can only use the laptop when connected to the charger, i live in chile so it is very difficult for me to send the laptop to razer support, currently i am waiting for refund confirmation but not know what else to do.
worst laptop ever. dont buy.

The original laptop came with a chipped screen. After debating with Razer customer service for weeks they finally agreed to have me send it in for repair. The unit was repaired and came back 15 days later with a different display issue (red vertical line). After debating with Razer again they agreed to exchange the laptop with a replacement unit. The replacement unit arrived 10 days later with a dead pixel. I was extremely frustrated. After even more hours working with customer service they agreed to exchange again and send me a second replacement unit. The second replacement unit arrived with a mark on the display which I am currently working with customer service on how to resolve.
They provide pre-paid overnight shipping labels when sending laptops to Razer. However, they send you back your repaired or replacement devices with regular ground.
I've spent more time WITHOUT a functioning laptop than WITH.
Do not buy Razer products.

Great laptop...until you can't charge it anymore.

I was really pleased with this laptop for the first 2 weeks that I owned it. Then the battery wouldn't charge. Thought it was kind of strange so I took to the internet and found out that people are having major problems with the charger and charging the laptop. While there are many theories out there on how to get the unit to charge (none of them seem to consistently work for anyone), if a company can't even get something as basic as getting a battery to charge, I'm not going to even bother with hoping a replacement will work any better. For the amount of money paid for this computer, an issue like this is completely unacceptable.
After seeing the many, many complaints about this computer, I'm not going to even bother with a replacement. I highly suggest passing over this particular brand. There are plenty of reliable laptops out there in the same price point.

Quality Control Issues To Go Around

So this past weekend, I tried the Razer Blade 15. I wanted to give my thoughts on the thing, and why you shouldn't buy one.
This is the first thing you're going to notice when you first it up, and get past the awful Windows 10 setup: the 144hz panel. The smoothness of the OS is absolutely amazing on this screen. It fixes nearly all of the standard Windows framerate inconsistencies. It's this type of software experience that makes people forget they're using a computer, as it's extremely fluid. SO GOOD.
Also, I of course wiped the awful bloated data mining version of Windows 10 it comes with, and installed the LTSB edition. Worked fine on this machine, took all the drivers, and all was well there. NOW.. onto why this machine is awful.
Razer seems to be infamous for bad quality control, and I can confirm that I had quality control issues with my unit on the very first day of ownership. Firstly, out of the box, the internal WiFi card is very slow. I was able to fix this for the most part by changing the settings, but this seems odd, especially since it still doesn't make it as fast as other wireless devices in my home.
Secondly, one thing that I couldn't get past; the mouse cursor micro-stutters, and there's nothing you can do to completely get rid of it. You can reduce the issue by forcing the system to only use the dedicated Nvidia graphics chip instead of the Intel graphics, but not only does this take up more battery life, it doesn't even fully address the problem, since the mouse still micro-stutters. I've tried re-installing the OS several times, reloading the correct drivers, problem still exists. Upon researching, this was a problem with the previous model too, and there is STILL no fix. What is this, Apple? This is even worse than Apple's QC.
Lastly, and worst of all, this model got ridiculously hot, like really bad. 90-100c when stress testing it. Yikes.. I get that it's a stress test, and may not reflect real world use, but I've never had a machine with good thermal performance ever get that hot during such tests. Not great for a machine where lots of work will be done on it.
All in all, it's a pretty package, and the amazing screen is deceptive. It's really a second-rate machine crippled with issues (that have gone unaddressed since the previous model!), and from what I'm reading, Razer's support sucks balls, so I'm not even going to bother with it. It's a shame, because the form factor is great, and it was a great experience until the issues came up. I took it back, and I'm going to keep looking; I suggest you not spend $2K on this thing. For a machine that micro-stutters, and gets really hot, I'd pay maybe $300 for it.

Bought it brand new, took it out, noticed something falling around in the chassis- opened it up and found an extra screw that must of fallen into it during the assembly process. ok, not too bad. Set everything up and got to a black screen and there is clearly a dead pixel, tried all the jazz to get it unstuck and nope.
In my previous experience with Razer I've also had a headset just stop working. I've had nothing but a bad experience with Razer's quality. Maybe in another few years I'll give them a try again, but probably not. Returned it
