Customers recognize the Blade Stealth 13.3" laptop's impressive performance, vibrant touch screen, and long battery life as significant advantages. Its lightweight and portable design, along with high-quality build and comfortable keyboard, also receive praise. However, some users note that the device can become warm under heavy use. The laptop's powerful processor and ample RAM are frequently cited as positive aspects.

    Better Than Expected

I’ve been using MacBook Pros for over five years, both the 13” and 15” models. I’ve noticed they have been steadily declining in quality and not incorporating new tech, other that minor spec bumps. What finally got me looking for something else was the appallingly bad “butterfly” keyboard. I looked long and hard at MS Surfaces, but they weren’t what I was seeking. Most 13” Windows machines were underpowered or just not what I wanted - until this new generation of Kaby Lake quad-core processors was released. I’d always admired Razer’s look and feel, but I’m not a gamer and not looking to be. I do run Adobe Apps and Ableton Live 10 so I need quad-core power but don’t want to set my pants on fire while I use the machine, either. The Razer gives me the power I want in a wonderfully small package that looks great as a bonus - and I love the Chroma keyboard. No quality issues whatsoever, very little bloatware other than Windows games, and a great experience. Well done, Razer! Here’s to many years together.

I purchased this brand new when it was on sale and was super excited to get such a beefy piece of hardware for a reasonable price. My expectations and excitement were quickly quashed when I ran into two major problems out the gate. Pros: The display on this thing is gorgeous!! The chassis is sturdy yet lightweight. The CPU is blazing fast. Cons: Wifi issues, Battery Life is abysmal, Synapse 3 software is buggy Right out of the box I couldn't stay connected to WiFi. At first I was befuddled. I had seen problems with Killer branded wifi adapters in the past. Perhaps it was my Ubiquiti system? So I tethered to my Google Pixel 2. It worked perfectly. So I began going down a rabbit hole worrying about it's compatibility with Ubiquiti. It was not to be. I opened a support case and all they could offer was to update the drivers and/or factory reset. Still no go! I had all but given up when I determined that my phone was actually on a 2.4Ghz band and the Ubiquiti was on 5Ghz. So I quickly changed the settings on my phone to only offer up 5Ghz....and FAIL! So I had determined the device incapable of connecting to a 5Ghz wifi signal. I fiddled with the driver settings and forced it to a 2.4Ghz preference and Voila! I connected to the Ubiquity no problem. I went back to Razer support and still the best they could offer was "try a factory reset"...something I had already tried. Don't you love when support people actually listen? The other major con for me was that the battery life is absolutely horrid for an Ultrabook. I had to set the display to 50% and the Power options to Better Battery in windows just to squeeze out about 4 hours. Bear in mind I am using this thing for work...so it's all Chrome browser and Office apps. I haven't installed anything else yet. It's simply unacceptable to only get 4 hours out of such a small device. My minor pet peeves are the lack of SD card slots, and the Synapse 3 software. As part of the WiFi troubleshooting I updated Synapse 2 to 3 and it pretty much broke the lighted keyboard. There's no longer a chroma menu to adjust the behavior of the keyboard lights. It's quite lame really. The option was there right after install, and then it vanished. Support couldn't help with that either. Sadly, it's going back in the box and I'm going to find something else to get the job done. Way too many problems right out of the box for a $1200 purchase.

    Best Laptop For The $$

Absolutely great machine so far. The keyboard is comfortable with good key travel, the screen is vibrant with the very responsive display. The trackpad is one of the best ones I've ever used, palm rejection isn't perfect but its really good. I love the RGB color keyboard. This is not a gaming laptop but if you hook up a GPU its a gaming beast. I bought this on clearance and its a fantastic, quiet machine under low usage, barely hear it. The quality rivals MacBook Pros for sure.

    Great laptop... but

I have been using this laptop for almost 1-2 months, it is an amazing laptop, overall its amazing! it amazed me when I opened the box but after using it for a while I found out that there is a thermal issue, sometimes my laptop gets super hot! and sometimes I hear the sound of the fans without me opening anything. If you are thinking about buying this then why not! I love this laptop, it has an amazing backlit keyboard (you can impress some girls with it ;)...), but remember to buy it on sale, because of the original price it's just expensive.

When I bought the Razer blade stealth about 2 years ago, both my company and I were really excited. This laptop looks insane on paper. The specs are amazing for the price, and the design is excellent. This is a five star machine on day one. Then the honeymoon is over. Razer has some major production issues that they haven't addressed in several generations of the Stealth (I've been thru 4 generations of stealths now). Between my personal Razer and the ones my company purchased, we've returned nearly all of them for various reasons. Random rebooting issues, fan failures within the first few months and no less than 5 Razers, including my personal laptop have had critical battery failures causing the battery to expand and deform the keyboard and aluminum body. My personal machine is about to be RMA'd and I only hope it lasts another year until I throw it in the garbage. The only thing worse than Razers reliability is their customer support. They're constantly unhelpful and it takes 2-3 weeks to get through all of the red tape to send back their broken products. Stick to buying Razer peripherals and leave their computers in the shelf.

$1,600 Laptop didn't work out of the box. System would not boot, hanging at the start screen. Little card in the box says "do not return to store, call customer service". I gave Razers customer service a shot, spent an hour on the phone to reach a woefully unhelpful person who told me I had to send it in for service and advised I'd have to pay for shipping. Give me a break, why would I pay to ship a defective item back to the manufacturer? Taking it back to Best Buy. Massive waste of time. I should have listened to the horrible reviews online regarding both the product and Razers abysmal customer service which I can now attest to. Lucky for me I'm within Best Buys return period. You're taking a chance buying this. $1,600 is way to much to spend on a company that doesn't support it's own products.

Thinking twice about future Razer and BB purchases

I am at the highest customer level with BB and own at least 1 of everything Razer has ever sold. Everything by Razer has been solid until this purchase. I bought a Razer Stealth based on my BB & Razer experiences. In 5 months it has been back to the G Squad twice. 3 weeks ago the screen fell out of the case. BB charged me $85, then after 2 weeks told me it will cost $1000 to repair it. After declining the repair, they suggested I contact Razer directly. Razer was no better, telling me that I have accept responsibility for potential charges before they will issue an RMA. Now I have a $1400 Bookend. Probably going back to Surface, buying directly from MS.

    Terrible Warranty Service

Our laptop has been a lemon from day one. The screen flickers for a while, on start up. We have tried various things to fix it, but nothing has worked. Also, the touchpad has never worked properly -- we thought it just operated differently, but went into a Best Buy last weekend and saw that the display unit clicked properly. So that's 2 major issues, and yet they won't just replace it. Demanding we ship it to California, so my son will be without his school laptop for 2 weeks. Last time I buy anything from Razer.
