Razer Huntsman TKL Review
||Posted . Owned for more than 2 years when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. My first Razer product was honestly...pretty bad. I waited QUITE a while before buying the Huntsman TKL, but I have to say it's a pretty great purchase that I don't entirely regret! I don't know if their quality has changed at all

Best keyboard I've ever owned.
||Posted . Owned for 3 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Moved from a Black Widow the the Huntsman Elite, mostly because I wanted to go TKL and the Elite model was what BB had in stock. Very, very happy they had this exact model. The optical switches are really a joy, for gaming or for work, because they're effortless to use. Meaning arthritic hands will ache less after use. The extra space gained from losing the keypad has been great, and it wasn't difficult to adjust. Chroma is great, and can even sync with my MSI MB to give the MB extra lighting effects. Keycaps are also easy to replace, should one wish, but I prefer these keys to HyperX or another choice. Can't go wrong with this keyboard.

Great keyboard!
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Great keyboard! I dislike the super clicky keys, so these linear ones are my style. They feel really nice, and the per-key color customization is awesome. Definitely recommend!

Astounding!
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Optical switches are a must and the keys are very satisfying to press. Optical switches let me perform my absolute best with very little to no input delay. An absolute must for rhythm games.

Great value for what it contains.
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Excellent color controls with the RGB. Ultimately what sold me with this compared to literally every other mechanical keyboard has to deal with the tension. I'm not a fan of absurdly sensitive keyboards although this one is modifiable to be more sensitive, and other ones you had to depress the keys effectively so hard that I could see you getting cramps with your hands. this one seemed to be a great compromise. Its clean and compact. Wish they made this version with the number keys on the right hand side like traditional keyboards, but overall, it is good for the price if you don't absolutely require those extra keys.

Very Sensitive and Loud Keys
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.OK, so first off, If you want a keyboard for everyday typing, This isn't it. Keys are very sensitive, so you will be making a lot of mistakes (unless you're old enough to have had a typing class, and type like you're on a typewriter with your wrists lifted) as far as gaming goes, the keys are amazing. response time is lightning quick. keys are loud. I ended up returning this item, and getting the Huntsman mini with clicky switches. even the newer generation of clicky switches are quieter than the linear switches on this keyboard. I will repeat, Do not buy this keyboard if you're using it for work, or working, as your main objective because you will get frustrated. If it's strictly gaming, and you are near pro level, then this will be amazing. If you are beginner , then you will be frustrated. other than that, the RGB and razer synapse work fine.

Great for gamers
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. If you want a keyboard to play video games and you care about in game performance, get this keyboard. It’s small, so you have more space for your mouse. The keys are very sensitive so you will do movements the moment you click a key. The key caps are great. Lighting is great. Cable is removable. Only reason not to get this keyboard is if you’re only getting for typing. In which case get a blue or brown switch keyboard. But I’ve gotten used to typing on this keyboard and it’s really not bad at all.

Wait for a SALE 5*
||Posted . Owned for 2 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. So i didnt see the purpose behind getting the tactiles.....i was in the market for MX silver/insta actuation TKL....Coming from a Razer blackwidow ultimate......and needing to downsize to accommodate a lack of deskspace.....I did like the tactility of the razer......but have also had a steelseries mx red wayy back which was a softer actuation than the razer......with the razer came the habit of holding the edge/corner of a keycap/skill. IN games/moba...lightly pulling until the point of..tactile actuation......moving on to a switch like this razer infared/MX silver clone...aka instant actuation w/soft key resistance, and light distance re-actuation....seemed like something worth trying considering razers induction of these switches....... For 99$ Build quality wise Im Quite impressed.....other than getting something of the more custom/enthusiast branded realm...+Shipping etc. I figured id go with a brand like this bc i knew id get the software suite/warranty etc. My ultimate is still running.....and has survived multiple beer/tea/coffee spills....due to extensive dab sessions etc.....and its largely cleanable......Which has solidified my loyalty to their keyboard build quality. Prior to this i had owned/tried out the G pro....which i had also gotten on sale via BB........for 60$!!!.......but my habits of pulling keys to actuate them......was well met with the mushy romer-G......roamy keytravel/sideways travel...i disliked personally.....these switches are amazing on the huntsman you just put yourfinger inbetween teh tops of your qwer keys and you can so easily pull/actuate them etc. Type c connector ideally mounted in the top corner so you can slant you keyboard esp in limited space/desk space....w.o having it overlap with your mousepad....my hardpad in my case. also unlike the G pro......If i bring it to a lan party with my laptop i can disable my laptop keyboard completely and mount it ontop of my laptop to play with it infront of my screen etc....and the cable is small enough w.o a large plastic neck etc.....that i can actually rout it under my laptops monitor inbetween the panel and the laptop. all very clean. Its a nice TKL......theyre are nicer esp around the 130$ price point it gets a LOT more competitive........but i got mine for 99$....which is what encouraged me to return the G-pro for 60$ and in turn go for this purchase.....had it been 130$ no way......i already saw it at another retailer and demo-ed the overall feel.....which is what drew me to it....simple no nonsense and very comfortable. Typing wise id rather have my ultimate....or even use my steelseries laptop keyboard at times.....but for gaming it feels so natural. Wait for a sale ....99$ cross reference other options/tkl options. Im not forcing you to buy....but this is definitely gonna be a component that will out live my laptop....Also running a razer invicta im an avid HARD pad lover.

Better than the original Huntsman!
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Ended up liking this TKL board over the original Huntsman. This Huntsman TE serves me better in every single way. The flip-out feet that angle the board don’t accidentally collapse too often like the original Huntsman, bottom row is finally standard so you can use custom keycaps (the stock keycaps are SOLID though, doubleshot PBT and they have a really nice texture), and the red switches feel soooo much better than the purples. Added some sound-dampening foam to the case and lubed the switches and it feels amazing!

Nearly Perfect
||Posted . Owned for 5 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The Keyboard is perfect in almost every way - Switches are very good for gaming and seem to be passable for typing - Keycaps are Double Shot PBT stock which is good for longevity -RBG lighting controls are on Razer Synapse which gives an infinite possibility My one hate about this Keyboard is the sound The Stabilizers, the Keycaps, and a lack of dampening foam all add up to a ridiculously loud typing sound which cannot be canceled out unless using a mic threshold or using discord when unmuted. The Keyboard should be $100 to be actually competitive with other companies

Awesome keyboad for gaming
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This keyboard is really fast. Is pretty good for gaming, but not for typing essay and office work. Linear Optical is just too sensitive. But again, this is just build for gaming. The keyboard itself is very solid and comfortable to use. Very good price on Black Friday.

Great feel and response!
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I am absolutely loving my new huntsman TE! I go through keyboards about once per month not because I’m hard on them but because I keep thinking I’m going to like them only to be let done bu quirky design elements usually within a day or two of purchase. That plus the fact that I just really like to try out new things to see what’s out there and have choices. The TE has been on my desktop for almost a month now and honestly of the dozens of keyboards I’ve been through, this so far is my favorite and has not and probably will not be replaced as I normally do within a month. The size is great if your looking to minimalist your desktop space. While it is not as small as some of the popular 60% keyboards like the ducky or the Anne pro (yes I’ve been though those also) it still is a very small footprint overall. It is light as well so if you travel or LAN party, it will not weigh you down as you transport your gear. I really like that it has a detachable usb c port and it it not a proprietary fit cable like others. The quick connectivity plus the option to do custom cables if you desire is very nice, although the cable it comes with it more than sufficient and still attractive in a minimalist sense. I did swap out the key caps with the hyperx pudding caps to have a bit more of the LED visibility factor and I’m really glad that I did. There’s nothing wrong with the stock key caps, but being able to customize is something people (Myself included) Have been wanting for so long with Razer and since they finally did a standard key size layout, I wasted no time taking advantage of this! My only complaint about this is that the space and backspace do not work well with replacement key caps due to the stabilizer design, so I did retain those two keys as stock but it still looks great! Overal I would highly recommend this keyboard to anyone in the market looking for something new, customizable, innovative, smaller, lighter, more portable, or any combination of all those things.
