Customers are saying

Customers consistently note the high build quality, vibrant RGB backlighting, and responsive keys as major strengths of the Huntsman Tournament Edition keyboard. Many appreciate its compact size and fast response time, while some find the sensitivity of the keys and the price point to be drawbacks. The included software also received mixed reviews.

I’ve been playing a lot of COD: Warfare lately and this keyboard has been great for gaming. Very quick response and tactile feel. Everyday use has its challenges though. This keyboard is super duper sensitive. Slightest pressure will record a press. Also, this keyboard is LOUD. If you are doing a lot of typing you can easily hear it in the next room. Also note that this keyboard does not have a numpad. Can be a minus for everyday use, or if you have a game that needs the numpad. Overall I’m very happy with this keyboard on my gaming PC. Would never use for the office though.

Love the TKL keyboards and Razer did not disappoint on this one. I had the Blackwidow Chroma V2 which is a great keyboard in itself, but the responsiveness from the huntsman with the optical switches is superior. Razer did not disappoint on this keyboard, only thing I wish it had was a wrist rest that was magnetic like the blackwidow chroma v2 TKL keyboard. Other then that I love the huntsman.

Before purchasing this keyboard I was running a hyper x and it was good but this keyboard is a lot better. The quality and keys feel really good and extremely light when pushing them down. The RGB lights are also a plus, they are pretty bright and allow a lot of customization through the razer app. Overall I'm pleased with this purchase and would recommend it to a friend. Best Buy also did a good job at shipping.

I upgraded from a Corsair CK552 with Gateron Red switches (which was a really good keyboard for the money). I just haddd to try the linear opto-mechanical switches. I was NOT disappointed! The sensitivity might not be great for people who like heavier switches like blues though. But if you like linear switches then you must gives the red Razer opto-mechanical switches a try! I was hesitant because I thought I would miss having the num pad but honestly having more space by going TKL feels well worth it. Even though on my previous keyboard I was using the Hyper X pbt pudding keycaps, I thoroughly enjoy the quality and feel of the pbt keycaps that Razer uses more. The only downsides that I can think of is the rgb doesn't shine very bright due to the pbt caps they use. I was somewhat disappointed, especially after using pudding keycaps and seeing how bright and beautiful rgb can get. But again, the quality and speed of this keyboard makes it well worth it. Also, many people dislike razer chroma software. I have heard it really can tamper with other apps you use. I have yet to have an issue with mine though. If you are on the fence, just buy it. Razer knocked it out of the park! Pros: Quality Keycaps Fast Switches w/ little actuation force needed Standard Bottom Row Sleek Simple Design Sturdy Backplate Cons: Dim RGB Razer Software (for some people) Loud Keys when typing and bottoming out. (Razer fixed this with 60% keyboard that just released though)

There's plenty of TLK out there from companies like Ducky that I would probably recommend over this but that being said.. Razer does make some pretty hardware and RGB is proven to add at least 300FPS to all gaming genres including solitaire. The optical switches are a little loud but get the job done. I haven't seen any issues while using it. My primary keyboard is a Corsair K70 rapidfire and the key travel is longer on the Razer. The main reason for the purchase was for a portable TLK, the removable USB-C cable is very good quality and the port isn't cut out in a way where you HAVE to use their cable, any USB-C cable will work just fine. At $129, it is tough to recommend but if you catch it on sale for $99 you won't be able to build one for that price and you'll be right in line with other top quality TLK like Ducky brand.

I bought this keyboard and have mainly been using it for gaming. The keys don't take much pressure to push on them so sometimes while I'm resting my hands on the keyboard, I'll accidentally push a button without meaning to. RGB lighting is nice and you can download the razer app to customize lighting options. Also the size of the keyboard is great - it has a smaller footprint so it doesn't take up as much space on a desk but the keys still feel full size and are spaced nicely.

My son picked out this keyboard for his new PC as the one that came with it, buttons were broken. We like the fact it’s tenkeyless so it takes up less space on the desk, nice buttons, smooth and quiet. Plus the lighting makes it that much cooler! There is an app to download on the computer to customize the keyboard, we haven’t done that yet.

I really like it, really good and responsive switches switches. Switches are a bit loud but that isn’t a bad thing, a bit louder than my k70. The keycaps are great. Inclusion of usb-c is awesome. Not much complaints. Value is average because most users even casual gamers probably won’t see or feel much extra benefits from it.

Good keyboard! The keys are very sensitive and take a bit of getting used to, but I would recommend. The switches sound good and have been updated so that there is no mechanical spring noise when you press a key. The individual key RGB lighting is pretty good, but some of they keys don't get fully lit up. Meaning there are some small spots on each key that are dimmer than the rest. However, the keyboard is quite good overall!

I bought the 60% Mini before making the switch to this, only because I did not realize how much I depend on my arrow keys when programming. I wanted something just as good as the 60% mini, and made the switch. It took a second to get use to the keys, but I feel overall for gaming and programming by far the best keyboard I've own.

I'm loving this keyboard. Pretty compact, looks great. I like that razer went with PBT keycaps, since they're more durable. Razer's Synapse software is good, and not too confusing. I'm new to mechanical keyboards so the linear optical switches really took some getting used to, since the actuation point is really quick.

The Huntsman Tournament Edition is the first product to result from Razer's outreach to the keyboard enthusiast community. The result is an excellent foundation that is paving the way for subsequent products that are even better. For what it's worth, this particular keyboard is a couple steps short of achieving true greatness. The good bits (standard layout, PBT keycaps, detachable USB-C cable, smooth switch action) are really good, but the bad bits (too short actuation, noise) are just enough of a deal-breaker to where I ultimately switched to a different board for my daily driver. Now if these issues don't bother you, you will absolutely love this keyboard. As for me, I'm hopeful that a future "V2" release will build on the positives mentioned above while addressing the negatives by including silencing rubber found in the Razer Huntsman Mini, along with the adjustable switches of the recently released Huntsman Analog V2.

I wanted to try out a TKL keyboard. This is a great one. The tacticle buttons feel great with every press and it is compact. I ended up decided that I need a 10-key for my preference, so I went another route but if you like TKL, I'd recommend this one.

first off this thing feels like money, its got that high quality weight to it. The RGB look fantastic and the program has so any options. The only thing is this is a Esports keyboard! What i mean is these keys are hype sensitive, the slightest touch will trigger a reposes. I hit the windows key so many times in game, but i still think this is a good keyboard. I just need to get used to having a lighter touch
