Customers are saying

Customers consistently note the high build quality, vibrant RGB backlighting, and responsive keys as major strengths of the Huntsman Tournament Edition keyboard. Many appreciate its compact size and fast response time, while some find the sensitivity of the keys and the price point to be drawbacks. The included software also received mixed reviews.

Razer really went out and outdid themselves with this keyboard. They took every form of criticism that users have had over the years and then took it to improve all products. The Huntsman TE takes the typical gaming company's non-standard bottom row, cheap ABS keycaps, and inconvenient cord placement and then..... got rid of those. Going with PBT keycaps, add a standard bottom row, and move the cable placement over to the left. They also switches from mechanical contact based keyswitches to optical based keyswitches. It's not going to change experience, but it does help increase longevity. However, these switches.... are VERY sensitive. Just a tiny amount of pressure does end up actuating it. Ultimately, it wasn't for me, but if you're a fan of really light linear keyswitches, then this will be for you. Either way, you can't go wrong with this keyboard. If there's one more thing I would want improved, it would be having the case more solid. The keyboard sounds really hollow unfortunately.

    1. Very fast response (It gets pressed with very very little amount of pressure) 2. Loud typing sound (Sounds like loud cherry mx red switches; if you like loud typing sound go for it,but if you need quite environment this is not the one) 3. Typing is heavy but soft 4. Rgb is not bright as expected however its amenable(customizable RGB IS INSANE) 5. It has 3 adjustable height toes on the keyboard

When I saw the optical switches from Razer. I thought it was a gimmick. Then I saw that they had Linear Optical switches (Razer Red). With the Actuation of 1.0 mm, I figure I had to give it a try. Best move I have ever made. It requires very little effort to press the key, and I no soon press the keys and it actuates. I switch from Razer Green key to the Razer Red and couldn't be happier. Sound --------- I was looking for something a little bit quieter than the Razer Green. These certainly are quieter, but they are not silent. Razer Green have a high pitch and these have a low pitch. O-Rings will not help. O-rings actually made the sound louder. The sound is bottom of the key hitting board. It is not loud at all with the key cap off but with the key cap on it is much louder. The sound is intensified by the hallow key. Keys ------- Feels amazing and Razer finally got the secondary functions to light up as well! I love the feel of the keys. I didn't know if I would like Linear switches but they are amazing.

I've been able to to try this keyboard out after purchasing it about a month ago and I have to say it's the best keyboard i've had so far. I typically prefer sensitive keys and the red switches are a perfect match for my typical gaming setup.

After owning for a month and switching from a laptop keyboard, this is truly a treat. RBG is standard to see from Razer, but the quality of the keys and the keyboard itself is amazing. Some of the RGB settings itself can be hard to find, but the keyboard itself feels very nice.

Whether your gamer or not, this keyboard served it's purpose well. Has nice, sturdy, and quality build and the rbg lighting is awesome. Might take some time to get used to though, there could be some accidental presses but will get them right with practice. It's worth the price.

Fantastic gaming keyboard with instant actuation. Overly sensitive for typing so don't expect to write a novel with it. Build quality feels really good and durable. Open key design makes keeping it clean very easy. RGB is second to none like all Razer products.

The keyboard frame itself is great quality. The switches are amazing as well, great sound. Unfortunately, the sensitivity is horrible; it is so sensitive that just by resting my fingers on keys they will register as clicked down. This leads to it being very difficult to type with.

The design is small and nice. Key clicks are registered really fast as well. The keys are also very sensitive, easily triggered barely need to click it down. Would definitely recommend this if you need something that’s small and easily portable if that’s your thing.

Fast keyboard, good quality and good RGB. Razer software is okay, could be better. Does not work well with Mac as the RGB is only controlled through software which doesn't really work on MacOS.

I’ve used this for a good 3 years now and it’s still a great keyboard. Never had any issues with lightening or keys, it just always works. Keys still sound as clicky as they were out of the box!

The response time is great it registers before I even fully pressed down the key. Pressing the button feels good and it sounds great. You can really feel how much easier it is to place this kind of keyword then a cheaper one it becomes so much easier.

The compact size of this keyboard allows for more space for your mouse. I love this keyboard for the linear switches and simple yet sturdy design made with aluminum. A slim usb type c cable is all this keyboard needs to connect to your pc.

It's the first razer keyboard I've bought and I really like it. The keys have a nice click and are very responsive. The rgb is controlled by the razer synapse app. Customizing menu is a little confusing I just went with the default colors.

Going from a cheap gaming membrane keyboard to this really does make a difference to the average PC gamer. I really enjoyed the quality of the unboxing experience as it felt like a premium experience. The keyboard itself is of high quality, with a aluminum top frame and high quality plastic keys. The feel of the switches is clean and light with a loud clack which may be satisfying to some while annoying to others. Also when striking the key with a reasonable amount of force results in a slight metal vibration sound which also may please but may annoy others Overall love the keyboard and it’s great quality and software

One of the best non-full-size keyboards by far. TKL layout helps you save space on the desk and gives you function that you need, feels great, and the switches are so incredibly quick.
