Great range, easy pairing, well located controls
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The headset was nicely packaged and easy to set up. Control location and usability was good and the instructions were clear. Charging time was neither fast nor slow, battery life is very good, I probably had 12 hours of gaming before I felt I better plug in. The headset was comfortable and feels durable, adjustment felt secure and stable so that I don't worry the headset will need to be adjusted again every time. They are light weight and don't feel like they are pressing in on your skull - I would follow the recommendations in the instructions though and giving them a gentle stretch before use if you are a full size adult. Sound quality was great for gaming, video, and phone use and the strength of connection was consistent on dongle or native bluetooth. I would have liked a retractable mike, but the trade off for having to hook up the mike is a much nicer balanced feel when the mic is not present. The bass response and the EQ features were nice and the result was a more immersive experience when playing RPG and FPS games. The shake on the headset when in-game events occur was a new thing for me, but I really liked it. Over all a very good quality headset with nice design and efficient and easy to use haptic features.

This is the PS headset you've been looking for
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This headset made a good impression as soon as I pulled it out of the box. The padding on the part that sits on top of your head is thicker and softer than my Sony Gold PS headset, the earcups rotate 90 degrees so they will lie flat on your chest when you hang them around your neck, and everything about them felt solid. Putting them on enhanced that impression. The earcups are large enough to fit my entire ear without squishing. The padding is thick, soft, and does a great job of blocking ambient noise. Most importantly, the tension on the headband is strong enough to hold them in place, but not so strong that the pressure gives me a headache after a few hours. Best of all, it doesn’t feel like it pinches the arms of my glasses. They were easy to pair with my PS4, just plug in the dongle turn them on. This is actually where my first complaint comes in. The PS4 defaults to the headset as the audio out choice as long as the dongle is plugged in, even if the headset is turned off. Any time I want to play or watch a show without the headset, I have to go into the PS4 menu bar and switch the audio output destination. This is the first headset I’ve had with a dial for the volume control instead of a rocker switch and I am a fan. It is easier to locate without looking and easier to adjust. There is a separate dial for side-tone volume which I appreciate because I no longer have to wonder if I’m muted or not. As long as I hear my own voice over the headset, I know I haven’t somehow managed to mute myself. Speaking of which, these mute via a large sliding switch rather than push-button; again, easier to locate and adjust. The only other thing I didn’t appreciate is the need to download an app to my phone to make any adjustments to the tone beyond the 3 presets. Not a deal-breaker, but an inconvenience. It would be nice if that could be done in a PS menu instead. My favorite feature has to be the haptic feedback. I wasn’t interested in that when looking at these headphones, I actually felt like it was a bit gimmicky. Now that I’ve been using them, I absolutely love it. It adds to the immersion and even assists with directional information. When something hits you from behind, you not only hear it thud, but there is a ‘bump’ at the back of the headset. Really cool Overall, a terrific headset and well worth the price.

Overall Best PS5 Headset.
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. After tweaking the EQ via the mobile app this is the overall best headset you can get for the PS5. This 50mm headset has much louder, crunchier and better bass sound than the 40mm Artics 7P+. The(removable)memory foam ear cups are not only comfortable but lock out background sounds. The haptic sounds are incredible but using this gives you less playtime so keep a cord near. Finally this headset is sexy and matches the look of the PS5. Wish it had a app on the PS5 like the XSX version does. 4.9/5

Ultimate Style and Versatility
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I love each and every one of my Razer devices. The quality and performance is just 'there.' And this Kaira Pro definitely lived up to my expectations. To me, the main aspect which stands out is how versatile this headset is. I can use it with my laptop or PS4, but also, with my cell phone for listening to music or podcasts, conversing on calls, and yes ... for mobile gaming, as well. I've even been able to connect the headset to my handheld gaming device, which is awesome. Pairing this Razer Kaira Pro to my devices via Bluetooth was super easy. And after plugging in the USB-C wireless dongle Bluetooth adapter, my laptop immediately "recognized" the headset and already had the audio and mic settings changed when I checked them. There's even an included USB adapter cord for the dongle if you need one. Since I already have the Razer Synapse software installed on my laptop, it was simple enough to add this headset to my gaming lineup. This software has greatly improved over time, and I'd recommend installing it so as to make use of the many features for all your awesome Razer devices. There are also Razer apps available for your mobile phone - Razer Audio and Chroma RGB (both for iOS and Android). These apps allow you to customize audio settings, light colors and effects. Now the Hypersense feature, while certainly desirable for many gamers, is one I will not be consistently using. However, when I gave it a try, I could "feel" the vibrations corresponding to what was happening in the game I was playing. I just find the sensation uncomfortable, which is why I always switch off the vibration setting on my game controller. While it's fun to be 'immersed' in the game, that's just not for me. The sound coming through this Razer Kaira Pro headset is full, clear, and 'crisp' with a rich depth of range. I often use these words and phrases when describing the audio quality for the earbuds, headsets and speakers, that I test out. But this quite simply describes what the sound actually is like, based on my own experience. This headset's earcups are soft and supple, and the cushiony material is oh so comfortable as the earcups cradle your ears. I only wish the "rough" fabric covering the 'almost too small' foam part that rests atop your head as you wear the headset, was of that same material. The earcups swivel nicely so as to lay flat, and they are easily adjustable to fit comfortably. Controls on the earcups are relatively easy to access and remember, once you learn them. The control that has proven to be the most useful to me has been the Smartswitch feature. This lets you switch between audio sources, such as needing to answer your phone while gaming by "diverting" the audio from your gaming console, to your mobile device. Very handy, indeed. At first I wasn't sure if I was going to like the detachable microphone on this model headset, but after giving it a try, I'm sold. *Note: make sure to line up/position the 'notch' on the jack end as you insert it. As always, the connector cable for this Razer headset is of their standard quality; covered by a lovely braided woven material that protectively sheathes the cord, yet remains flexible, too. And, of course, cause this Kaira Pro is a Razer brand headset, there are customizable RGB lights on the earcups. Love this feature so much! I also really really like the white color of this Kaira Pro headset! It's a refreshing difference from every other headset out there, and a cool change from Razer's traditional black & green color combo. Yet, for all these great qualities, the headset is a bit pricey, though I still recommend. But it is surely worth considering for both casual and "hard-core" gamers alike.

Sound that moves you! literally!!
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The Razer Kaira Pro headset is designed to engulf the user in a whole new audio experience. Razer has come up with a new hepatic feedback design that more accurately mimics sound's impact within your audio environment. The hepatic feedback deemed "Hypersense" uses a much larger frequency range in it's vibrations to offer different degrees of impact. The Hypersense frequency operates between 20 to 200 Hz, while traditional vibration modules only use 60 Hz. This variation in frequency allows Razer to be more subtle where needed and very intense with higher and explosive sounds. Because the hepatic feedback can vary in intensity, the vibrations will not drown out the incoming audio. Making this headset still very accurate when it comes to sound direction. The hypersense feature does offer three levels of intensity. However, if you do not like the hepatic feedback, it can be turned off. With the Hypersense and RGB on the battery life might last up to 11 hours, without them you could be looking at an amazing 50 hours of play. The sound quality is very impressive. The headset can get very loud, but still retains it's clarity. The bass is more than you would expect from a gaming headset, and sounds even better with the Hypersense. The directional audio is right on the money, especially when using the correct EQ setting for the application. When using the FPS mode, it's even easier to identify incoming footsteps and the direction from where they came. With the Amplifier mode you won't miss anything, not even a buzzing fly or rustling leaves. You can even enter a custom EQ setting through the Razer Audio App to fit your style. The headset can sync up with your phone for calls, music or even mobile gaming. There is a gaming mode that can be used for any device connected to the headset via Bluetooth, the gaming mode , when activated, reduces audio latency, keeping you ahead of the competition. You can answer calls ,hang up, pause music, skip tracks and more with the press of a button. You can switch between the console audio and the Bluetooth audio by double pressing the Bluetooth button. Once the headset is connected to your phone, you can use the app to change the Chroma colors , The logo can be changed to any color, and also has a few different pattern options. The chat features work great with enhanced clarity and volume. It's very easy to hear everyone in your chat party. While the headset itself does not offer audio mixing between game and chat sounds, you can change this through the chat party settings on your PS5. The mic has a supercardioid design. Much like other cardioid headsets this mic collects sounds in a kind of heart shaped design, but does it on a tighter scale. The Supercardioid feature helps to eliminate background audio and focus it's input on what's directly in front of it. Even though this headset is a perfect match for the PS5, it can be used with PCs and other consoles (excluding Xboxes). The headset adapter uses a USB C connection, but the unit comes with a cable adapter to use the adapter with a standard USB port. The Bluetooth can also be used to connect to other compatible devices. The Kaira Pro also comes with 50mm drivers for a wider range in audio vs the normal 40mm. Overall this headset is exceptional and excels at everything it does. The ear cups are made with a cooling material to add to the comfort. The sound is perfect, the hepatic feedback is great, the design is very functional and solid, it even has numbered notches on the headband extensions so that you can keep it even on both sides. The whole thing just feels very practical and rugged.

Great Headphones With A Meh Gimmick
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Let me start off by saying I love these headphones. They are extremely comfortable and they sound great. They are some of the best gaming headphones you can buy today. There a couple of improvements I would like to see on a future iterations. Let me start with the looks when I first saw the images online and on the box I was a bit underwhelmed. I knew it was matching the PS5 design but didn’t think it really did. Once I got them and opened them I was extremely impressed by the quality of the headphone but also in the design. The colors look great and match the PS5 excellently. The ease of use and compatibility is great it has Bluetooth but unfortunately doesn’t not simultaneous audio. It only allows you switch back and forth between the Bluetooth and dongle audio. The sound is great though there is a good amount of bass without sounding too muddy. Unfortunately as cool the haptic engine is I just didn’t like it very much it is very Inconsistent as sometimes it would not rumble with explosions but would rumble when someone was talking. When the haptic does sync correctly it does add a good level of immersion unfortunately it more often than not off and just feels weird. The good thing is these headphones sound great without the haptics, and with it off I didn’t miss them at all. The haptics I’m sure add a good amount of cost to the headphones and I would prefer them to take them out and make the headphones a bit cheaper. Overall these are excellent headphones that sounds great and feel great. If your looking for som PS5 headphones you can’t go wrong with these.

Not a bad choice
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Razer is making a come back. The Kaira Pro is a comfortable headset for long hours of gaming. It's breathable enough that you won't sweat or feel hot and offers great noise isolation for gaming. The microphone quality is "okay" my friends can hear me clearly, but personally I think it's average compared to other brands like HyperX. The build quality is solid and I don't fear of being too rough while using these, meaning that I am okay with just placing them down on my desk. Some headsets feel so fragile that leaving them on the table feels too risky. The Kaira pro does not fall into this category. Razer's software is always the worst part about their products and I am reluctant that this headset and drivers work now, but Razer has a history of unstable drivers. I imagine if you use these for console gaming, you will have no issues at all. As a gamer, I need to drop a star off this product simply because of the drivers and Razer software. However, as a review for this specific headset, it checks off many requirements for a headset in this category.

Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Didnt buy it here but i would like to say!
