This is my first gaming headset so I can't really compare it to anything else. But I am loving the surround sound and everythnig about this headset.

We spoke to the apple representative first he was very helpful answering all our questions and identifying the differences between the three machines. We cane back the next day spoke to a sales person had a couple of new questions answered and a couple of repeat questions just to check that we understood things then made our purchase. So far we our happy..Things our going as they said. The whole setup routine is a pain having to go to the apple store and stuff but that was explained to us.

Didn't work for PC (CSgo) and for ps4 it was low volume. Great headset for movies and great bass

I use these just for gaming. The 7.1 works as it should in FPS games. The mic works great in the division and Overwatch.

Really love these for editing and casting. However, would love them 5:5 if the volume control was on the headset. Get audio quality.

I actually purchased these for my girlfriend, but was curious to try them out myself. I found them physically uncomfortable, as the earpads seem to sit ON my ears rather than around/over them. I also noticed what many others pointed out, a low constant hissing when there is no audio being played. I tried every USB port, both 2.0 and 3.0, and it persisted. I am still very happy with my Hyperx Clouds and would recommend the Clouds over this headset any day.
