Customers are pleased with the Kraken 7.1 Headset's sound quality, comfort, and microphone. Many appreciate the comfortable fit and customizable lighting features, while some found the bass response particularly impressive. Not what I expected from Razer
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The headphones construction was well thought out, but the sound quality lacked. I think it is way too muffled. You can't clearly hear footsteps or notice any sound besides bass. I even turned the bass boost off and set the eq for less bass. But still, it was too bass heavy causing it to sound extremely muffled as well. I prefer the Logitech g930s I currently own. I returned the Razer headphones the next day after I bought them.

Good sound but not sturd
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. It sounds well and the embedded usb mic is very good. However, after two years of use, ear cover on the left side was torn and stuffing came out.

Just Amazing Honestly
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. These headphones are just amazing. The kick of the bass drum to them are very good and sounds as if all your music is is being played in a professional recorded concert. I was Going to get the Razer Kraken the 59.99 one I think. I saw these and I love green so I got them and made the LED's custom green. Awesome headset, yeah, for sure. 7.1 Surround. Use Razer Synapse or download it. Cons: There isn't any. Maybe a bit heavy? Comfortable. Amazing sound. Customized LED effects and color. USB 2.0 Gold Plated. And the best buy warranty is only 9.99 if you have a cat that chews a nice nylon coated headphone cord and need new ones! Bad Frank... Done

Awesome Gaming Headset - Quality Product
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. After picking up my Razer Kraken Chroma earlier this week, I've been enjoying it all over the place. I use it at home while gaming and communicating with my friends/teammates. I use it at work for music, and web conferences. And I use it on my laptop for Google/Skype calls. Pros: Great Sound Quality, feels very durable, long cord, retractable mic, convenient/attractive mute lighting on mic. Cons: Software. Razer Synapse 2.0 is extremely convenient, but I've found it difficult to balance sound output between some programs. (League of Legends and Curse Voice). It seems to have trouble lowering one without forcing me to lower the master volume first.

Ear cartilage watch out!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I'd like to start by saying the sound quality is amazing. Even without the bass boost this headset hits hard. The mic is very nice and no one has complained about the quality yet. Software is easy to setup and the 7.1 is very well done. Noise cancelling is nice but, if anything rubs the cable at the base of the headset you will hear it in left ear. With that said let me tell you what you might not like. This headset is VERY tight and if you placed them on the ear's cartilage you will be in a lot of pain very soon. I have decided to keep these to see if changing the position will help if not my ear's just can't take the pain. I have thought about setting them on something larger then a human head to see if it will stretch them some what. Also these seems to have a known issue with Google Chrome and volume. If you watch anything from google chrome like Netflix or Hulu etc the volume is extremely low and some what flat. I tried Netflix and Hulu in Microsoft Windows Edge browser and I had no issues and the sound is great again. Pros - sound quality is amazing! - Looks nice Cons - ear cartilage might suffer in pain - very low volume from Google Chrome

Phenomenal
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This headset is simply incredible. Good amount of noise cancelling. WONDERFUL sound. Deep bass, high trebles. Not to mention the microphone is of high quality as well. Comfy, lightweight, and colorful. Very good for the money.

Ridiculously amazing
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. Not only is this a wonderful headset for gaming, it really starts to shine once you start to listen to other things with it. It just about blew my mind how precise the audio is when watching movies. It is like packing the cinema sound into a headset. The software is extremely user friendly and my experience has been great with my Mac. The Chroma effects are a nice touch for when they are not on your head for visual interest. This headset has been a lovely addition to my setup and is perfect for those who are heading off to college and would like to bring their home theater and gaming setup with them. Highly recommended.

Amazing sound and really comfortable!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I am thoroughly impressed with this headset. Only used it for a few hours and I'm already in love! The sound of course is amazing and the surround sound really makes a difference! The microphone is also really crisp and clear and I love how it has an LED light at the tip to let you know when its muted. I really admire the design and craftsmanship that went into making this piece of equipment and it really shows in functionality and simplicity. It is also one of those things that feels very durable straight away which is always a plus! Can't wait to increase my collection of Razer products. Next I'm looking at a new mouse and then probably a new laptop!

Great Headset
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The headset it's self is great. It's sturdy, fits comfortably, and is light enough to wear for an extended periods of time. the sound is very good quality depending on how you prefer/adjust the settings. after using the headset for over a week I've found the settings I prefer and movies, games, and music all sound amazing. The mic on the unit is one of the best stock headset mics I've heard in the $100 and under market. I only have two suggestions, mostly from old habits and just nitpicking. It would be nice to have a slightly longer cable and an in-line volume adjuster. Other than that if you're looking for a headset with great sound for full immersion and enough bass to rattle your skull (if setup/desired).

Great Quality headset
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I love this headset. I had been using my husbands Turtle Beach, and needed something for myself and since I recently bought the Razer Blackwidow Chroma I thought I'd buy the "matching" headset. This headset is defiantly the quality we have come to expect from Razer. It's comfortable and the sound is great. I love the fact that it is USB and it plugs right into the Blackwidow Keyboard. No more pulling the tower out to mess around with plugs in the soundcard. The only thing I would like would be a bigger area that lights up. It's only the Razer logo on the ear pieces that lights up, but that's just me personally as I love everything that lights up!

outstanding headphones for many uses
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. These headphones are outstanding overall. They are extremely comfortable to wear and the surround sound quality is better than I ever could have expected. I use these headphones mostly for PS4 gaming, and in games like Destiny, and CoD: Advanced Warfare, these headphones give you an edge by allowing you to audibly recognize the position of your opponents. They are also extremely comfortable to wear during movies and they fully take advantage of the theater quality surround sound. The only downside that I have discovered from these headphones is that if the braided USB cable is rubbing up against any surface, you can hear a clear sort of humming noise. Other than that these headphones are a great value and i would recommend them to all.

Excellent in Nearly Every Aspect
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This headset is excellent in nearly every aspect. I only have a few words of caution. When using the headset, make sure that you aren't wearing anything that runs up your neck slightly (e.i. dress shirt, turtle neck, thick sweater, etc.). The cord for the headset will rub against the cloth and send a little feedback from the grinding into the left ear cup. Also, try testing your headset before use. My sensitivity for vocals was extremely low in Razer Synapse, which caused for an odd echo/pitch when speaking into the mic boom. I believe this was caused by the mic only picking my voice up on the lower end and having to correct itself. After increasing sensitivity from 50 to 75 the vocals picked up clear and crisp!
