I have configured all of the setup and added a bunch of personal customization to the sound on the software!!! With one big speaker in each ear yet full virtual surround sound!!!

I absolutely love this headset i first bought the logitech g430 but then went back the same day and picked up the Razer headset and never going back. Great product great quality

I bought the Kraken 7.1 Chroma headset about two weeks ago and I can't say enough positive things about them! They are super comfortable, sound incredible, and look just awesome. The ability to customize using synaspe is another bonus! This is my first razer product and I'm now hooked. I don't see myself buying anything else.

As I am a gamer, this is a great headset, due to it being good in bass and picking up footsteps that you may rather miss if you don't have good 7.1 surround sound. Pros: 7.1 Surround sound Great microphone Great sounding bass Mic retracts into the headset ear cup. Cons Microphone is left sided *This is just for me though* 7.1 is only through a software/program setting Pure plastic build.

I have tried couple of headsets before, but this is the definitely the best headset I have ever had! If you have money - BUY IT WOU WILL NOT REGRET!!

Great products. ergonomic and fun to use. I've been using Razer products since 2007 and have yet to be disappointed in the durability and functionality of them.

The Razer Kraken 7.1 Chroma is one of the most comfortable easy to use headsets I have ever came buy. This headset comes with a single gold plated USB. All you do is plug it in and you are done. Also the sound quality is impeccable compared to other headsets under $100. I highly recommend this product. You will not be disappointed :)

Pros: I like the Razer product line. They produce great quality items and I can say that because I already own a few of their products of which I'm highly satisfied with. Unfortunately, the Razer Kraken 7.1 Chroma headset falls completely short of my expectations on this purchase. The design looks great, the retractable microphone is awesome, the customization you can do with the headset (colors and sound) is also desirable. Unfortunately, I am not able to review the sound quality because the headset did not fit my ears. Cons: If you have large ears, and wear glasses (like myself), you will not be able to wear this headset. If you have small ears - this will be a complete win for you. On the back of the box it reads, and I quote, "Closed ear cup design for optimal sound isolation". It does NOT cover your ears. This headset only rests on your ears - leaving you with hardly any sound isolation what so ever. I feel that Razer slipped up big time on the ear design with this headset. If they had designed the ear cups to cover your entire ears, like the Logitech G930, then this headset would be a complete win for those with big and small ears (even if you wear glasses). I will be making a trip back to Best Buy to exchange this headset for another brand. Razer really let me down on this one.

These headphones are meant for one thing alone: Gaming (and they do shine in that department). I had walked into Best Buy to buy these after doing research online, knowing that I'd be using these with my gaming rig solely for gaming, and I was not disappointed. The 7.1 is virtual, as stated, and works well. The newest version of the Razer Synapse App gives me no issue, and I was able to find tune the headset to my liking (has an EQ, surround calibration, amongst other options). I wouldn't expect these to shine for music or movies, that's not what they are for (they do it okay, though). They are best suited for gaming, so far I've tried Doom, Assetto Corsa, Borderlands 2, and a few others. Footsteps and game effects are brought to the front, grabbing your attention (which you want in a game). You may think that some are right in giving it less than 5 stars if it can't do music and movies perfectly, and maybe you are right, but I give this 5 stars because it does what it specifies in name perfectly, gaming. For movies and music, I have a set of Bluetooth headphones to walk around with.

This is a very great headset when gaming on PC. It comes in crystal clear and you can adjust almost any kind of setting on it.

This is a great headset for gaming it is very comfortable I especially like the retractable and movable microphone you can also change the colors of the lights the only problem is you have to download razor synapse to get all of the features and you have to use a USB port but other then that it is a great headset

I bought these because I needed a USB headset for my games. They sound decent but have a much stronger Midrange then anything else. They are also stated that they are "over the ear" headphones but they are not, they are "on ear" headphones which there is a difference. After a while of use they do start to hurt your ears from the pressure that they have. The microphone on it is actually really good and I like the fact that they retract into the headphones when you decide to set them down. However for the same price I found headphones with a much flatter response rate and are extremely clear (are 7.1 virtual surround sound for those of you who care as well as USB and comes with a 3.5mm jack and a Y splitter which is extremely handy) and are way more worth the price because I am a freak when it comes to headphones. I will sell these headphones soon honestly for I have no use for them. YES these are decent, but I wouldn't recommend them for the price. If they were half price then perfect. But the headphones I would recommend are the HyperX Cloud II headphones which also have a metal band so they aren't as fragile and are actually OVER THE EAR (as well has coming with memory foam and leather ear pieces so the don't make you sweat). If best buy sold them (which I hope they do soon) I would post a link but they unfortunately do not. I do have friends that swear by these though so I personally am probably just more picky then most. Hope this review can be helpful.

I was worried about making the jump to a USB headset, but I've been more than satisfied. The virtual surround sound is great in action and survival games. Comfort wise I don't notice any heat or pressure issues. This final addition to my Chroma setup has been a welcome purchase.

I have had the Razer Kraken 7.1 for about a week now. They are great for gaming. The only issue I have had with the headphones is the cord is too short to use comfortably on the PlayStation 4. The sound is phenomenal. I just wish the cord had an extra foot or two.

I actually upgraded to this Razer Chroma 7.1 from my Razer Tiamat 7.1. I have an old computer (Dell XPS 8500) that I found out isn't capable of utilizing a 7.1 sound card from any manufacturer so sadly my Razer Tiamat 7.1 went to waste. But THIS PUPPY, simply plugged into my USB port and I got that amazing sound I've been looking for in gaming! Took a bit of fooling around with my sound settings in Windows 8.1 but I can already tell I'm going to wear these things OUT before I even think of purchasing any other headsets!
