Terrible Sensor
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I played with the razer naga 2009 for 5 years. I bought the new naga 2014 once it shorted out on my after about 3 weeks. Then replaced it and the new replacement shorted out on my after 1 week. The Sensor is easily worn out.

Quality mouse for work and play.
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Razer has really hit it out of the park with this one. The mouse feels great in your hand, especially if you have a claw-grip like I do. The side buttons are insanely useful. I have a work profile with the keys mapped to my most common shortcuts/programs (Cut/Copy/Paste/Close/Scroll Click/Next Song/Play/Pause/Etc.) I have a gaming profile for each game with each key mapped to what comes in handy the most. You can set it to press different keys in your move bar, open up the map, even set macro’s for crafting/mining/etc. This mouse is a must have for anyone planning on gaming. The build quality is perfect. The mouse is light, without feeling flimsy. The pointer is accurate, and you can set the DPI and Sensitivity to exactly how you want it. This is definitely something you will want to play around with. I found that I like it best with high DPI, but insanely low sensitivity. I feel like I have more control over the tiniest movements of the mouse, something no other mouse has given me. The best part is that you can use Synapse to sync your profile to any computer you use, so once you find the perfect mix of settings/hotkeys you can take it anywhere and have the exact same feel to the mouse. I ended up picking up the wireless Naga for home use specifically because of this feature. I can make a change on my desktop, and have the same setting ready to use on-the-go in my laptop instantly. I just finished an RMA on my work-Naga, and was able to just plug the new one in and start working. It picks up the same settings/profiles as the old one. The support was extremely fast, I started the request Friday, and Monday afternoon had my new mouse plugged in! I ended up picking up the Blackwidow (full size), the Blackwidow Tournament, and a Deathadder (ended up being too “long” of a mouse for me) to take full advantage of this. When I add a hotkey, or set up a profile at home/work I can pull up the same settings wherever I am, so I don’t have to do anything more than once. You can set these profiles to be activated when a program launches, so you don’t even have to manually switch profiles! The keys on the side are a little too far “back” towards your palm for my grip, but still are easy enough o access that it isn’t a problem. The clicks on the mouse/keys are short, quick, and give good physical/audio feedback (a good “click” sound/feel). The scroll wheel could definitely feel a bit “clickier”, you can definitely feel the bumps as you scroll but they feel “rounded” There are no problems with over/after scroll, it’s purely a feedback/personal preference. The new finish on these mice is awesome. The whole mouse is covered in a “sanded” matte finish, and feels very good in your hand. There is a small rubber pad on the pinky-area to keep your finger from slipping, or becoming irritated. I have seen other mice with these rubber pads have a problem with them wearing down and “flaking” or becoming sticky and rubbing off. I’m not sure what Razer has done, but after ~3 years of use, both of my Nagas are still going strong, none of those issues with either one. The pads on the bottom of the mouse work with either hard or soft mousepads. I have heard that the tracking works best with Razer mousepads, but haven’t had a chance to test it out. I have a few Rocketfish aluminum mousepads that I have been using, and the mice work perfectly with those. I have used my mice on a few other mousepads at friends houses, including a few of the “cheap” $5 mousepads you can find at any tech store. The mice work perfectly with any pad you get, but might need a small DPI adjustment to get the “feel” right. I recommend getting the same mousepad for work/home/wherever you plan on using the mouse, or just take your pad with you to avoid having to change settings. I would absolutely recommend this mouse. I have found it to be the best compromise between performance, functionality, and appearance.

Naga Improved
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Just recently purchased the Razer Naga 2014 to replace my old Razer Naga Molten that I purchased 5 years ago. I felt that an upgrade was due since the rubber at the bottom of the mouse is worn out. Also, the right click is sometimes unresponsive, Now the Naga 2014 is bigger compared to my older naga, The manual toggle switch at the bottom of the old mouse is gone in the Naga 2014 due to the implementation of Razer Synapse so it could be done via software. The 12 extra buttons on the side for your thumb are now mechanical and much more responsive compared to the old Naga Molten. The scroll wheel now has an additional functionality to scroll side to side. The Razer synapse software is great for creating macros and setting the extra buttons to correspond with useful keys easily accessed by your thumb. Last but not the least, the 2 extra buttons near the left click are now moved right below the scroll wheel for easy access. Overall, the Naga's re-design is an improvement and if you enjoy playing MMOs or MOBAs this mouse is a must-have.

The 12 mechanical buttons are easy to get used to and a life saver in the sticky situations in gaming. its very responsive, which again, is great for gaming. this is my first product from the Razor company and im extremely pleased with this product. definitely will be buying more products from them when needed!!

Good mouse, poor thumb button design
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The Naga was recommended to me by a guildmate whose opinion I respect, so I thought I'd try it out for endgame use in some of the MMOs I play. The mouse is responsive and glides effortlessly. The thumb-wheel has a good feel and clicks when rotated, providing excellent feedback. The only dealbreaker for me was the original reason I bought it. There is a bank of 12 buttons on the thumb side of the mouse (you can buy left or right-handed versions). While an excellent idea, the buttons are too close together and undifferentiated in shape and texture. They are also small, making it impossible to hit the desired, or even only one button with my thumb. After 2 weeks of continuous use, I was still unable to use the buttons accurately. Also, the placement of the buttons leaves nowhere to comfortably rest my thumb without randomly pressing a button.

Upgraded from the Original Naga
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. After 2 years and very heavy gaming use my Naga original finally gave out. I checked out where I could pick up one of the 2014 models and then headed over to the best buy near my house. I am loving the design differences between the original and the 2014 model. While slightly larger the feel is much better, the buttons all have a unique feel and while it took a few days to get used to the accuracy of button taps have vastly improved. The change between the mouse button 4/5 from teh side to the middle took a little longer to get used to, but I am happy with the placement as it allows for a more natural tapping of the button rather than feeling like you are stretching your index finger off to the side. Overall 9.5/10 only because there is always room for improvement even if I can't find it myself. Keep up the great work razer.

Razer Naga is more than a mouse.
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I purchased this mouse based on the recommendation of friends and then it's positive feedback through reviews. I've used it for a few days now, and I must say that it's exactly what I was looking for. To clarify what I mean, this mouse is extremely easy to modify, so when playing games, you can set key binds to increase reaction time in-game, which is awesome for those situations where vital (for example: pvp, specifically arena, general dungeon crawls, and the over all leveling experience). It allows the player to focus better by not having to search the action bar and peck for moves. I was a little intimidated by the idea of it at first, but they did a great job packaging it up with simple, easy instruction, but better than this, there is an insane user-support out there. I had a few questions regarding initial key binds and I found some solutions right away. One thing to note, though. If you're playing an MMO style game, and you want to set key binds using Alt + (whatever button combo you prefer), if you use tab to switch targets, the Alt / Tab combo will happen and cycle you through screens. I tested this numerous times to verify. Also, if you attempt to use CTRL, it will activate random buttons (example: say you're using the buttons on the side with the CTRL + 1, while you're hitting that button, if you happen to his the 's' key at the same time, it will mute your sound (in the game I play anyway)). I recommend using Shift + a key of your choice as the combo. I know this is long, but I love the mouse, and I wanted to make sure I gave my honest feedback. Good luck, and have fun gaming!

Great gaming mouse
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Amazing mouse, probably the best gaming mouse for it's price. It has a great grip for your hand and the buttons on the side come in really handy in MMO's. The program (Razer Synapse 2.0) is really easy to use and lets you bind the buttons. Overall Razer lives up to its name with this mouse.
