The buttons on the side are programmed to correspond to the number keys on your keyboard. Messed up my key bindings. Pain to reprogram them.

Average gaming mouse, the Logitech mouse is much faster response time for virtually the same price.

Is it fast? Yes. Is it programmable? Yes. Is it reliable? No. The mouse is glitchy at times. Depending on software updates, it works inconsistently from program to program.

The in-store assistant must have been confused when he told me this mouse cam be used with PCs or macs--it can ONLY be used with PCs.

Let's be honest before I start. I enjoy Logitech everything for my computer peripherals. Keyboard, mouse, headset, steering wheel, joystick. My "daily driver" for a mouse is the G502, but it has one flaw for me. Lack of buttons for my thumb. That is where the Naga Hex comes in. Right away, it's a pretty big mouse. I have medium hands, and I enjoy the larger side of the mouse. I love the new grip they added on the sides and the middle of the "Hex" The old Hex had a bad issue of the rubber in the middle popping out, that is resolved. On the pinky side of the mouse, they added a very good textured rubber that has a lot of grip, perfect for a Claw mouse user like me. Overall, very comfortable. Now onto the main reason why I got the mouse, the thumb buttons. These are extremely useful once you get your mind used to using them. Interrupts, Items, quick switching, all things that take away from your hand off WASD. The buttons are easy to hit, very tactile when they are pressed. I don't like how they are numbered, but that is easily changed in the software. Speaking of the software. The software is... interesting depending on who you ask. People hate it due to it's forced used of a log in info, and almost malware-ish tracking with the cloud storage. It sometimes is buggy, but I have ZERO issues with it. Lots of setting to tweak, if you are into that type of thing. I just rebound my keys to num pad and called it good. It won't replace my G502 for FPS and everyday use, but when I play MMO's and MOBA's I swap to this mouse. I know it sounds silly to use two different mice, but they excel in their own areas.
