The mouse works perfectly when wired. However, the wireless function does not work. Tech support gave a few options, but provided little else and as such the options are to return or use as is.

Best mouse I ever owned but at a steep price

The pros: 1. You can use it both as wireless or wired mouse. Always wanted a mouse that can do both. 2. Adjustability: Both in terms of hardware (you can change the side panels and make it wider, enable/disable side buttons with hard switches, sensitivity) and software (more adjustments that you can imagine). 3. Ergonomics (has the right number of buttons at the right places / not overwhelming) 4. Looks great: Lights and metal-like finishes make it look even better 5. Packaging: Comes with a display case The cons: 1. The price (you get what you pay for though)

I love everything about this mouse. It looks awesome, the customization for your hand makes this mouse comfortable for anyone. 8200 DPI is more than you will ever need. Other mouses that surpass this do it pointlessly. The fact that it can be wired or wireless makes it the last mouse i will have to buy for a long time. The only thing i would change about the mouse is make then lighting customizable the green looks nice but my keyboard is blue.

The Cake is NOT a Lie!

I just recently purchased the Ouroboros for its customization, and again Razer didn't disappoint. I put off buying the mouse because I already had the Mamba (which I thought couldn't be topped...wrong). As great as the Mamba is, I have found the Ouroboros to be better suited to fit my gaming preferences. I am a right-handed, claw gripper. Typically, I grip the sides of the mouse with my thumb and ring fingers while my pinky drags on the mouse pad, but with the interchangeable sides, I have the grip attachment on the left side and the wing attachment on the right side so I can both grip the mouse like normal and not drag my pinky on the mouse pad. Yes, I just had my cake and ate it too! I find the side buttons less of a strain to reach (watch out though because both the left and right sets of buttons are programmed by default to move you forward and backward in your web browser...I ended up having to completely disable the buttons pinky side just so I could grip it properly...no biggie though). The Ouroboros is well worth the price for any serious gamer. When it comes to gaming mice, the Ouroboros takes the cake!

Ok, so, I got into razer a few weeks back and oh my gosh! There products are top of the line quality, and this is no exeption. The packaging blew my mind! I was scared to open it at first as I thought it was supposed to be the display case in the store! The mouse itself was on a mount in the center of a glass box case. It looked like an alien spaceship! The mouse is very comfortable, it has a interchangable grip that suits your preference. The mouse has green LEDs, so it matches my blackwidow ultimate. It has two buttons that allow for sensitivity adjustment while gaming. The razer synapse software makes the mouse easily costumizable. All in all, an amazing mouse.

A mouse is a highly personal computing device and therefore its customizable features in hardware and software are very essential to day long tasks on the computer. I am an OS X, Windows, and Linux user and not a gamer. This is the most comfortable mouse I've used and the software/drivers are excellent. It's precise, fast, and works equally well in OS X and Windows. (Ubuntu Linux - only the basic 3 buttons work but that's okay). Although it is one of the most expensive mice in the market but it's worth the expense if you are particular about input devices as I am. Highly recommended!

So let me say first off I own a lot of gaming mice. This one accuracy is very poor. It skips and jumps under micro movement compared to a 50$ Logitech. Yes i calibrated it. Yes I tried multiple surfaces. Yes i made sure it was clear of debris. Razer products recently have been disappointing.

    One of my favorite mice

It's a good mouse but if your a hardcore gamer you will find problems with it. If you plug your usb in and out you can brick the mouse and the dock. It's a little bit on the heavy side. It's a very high quality mouse a mouse that fits all hand sizes and styles. Sometimes the tracking will fail on you I had to to send this back to Razer twice remember if you do plan on getting this mouse get a REPLACEMENT PLAN.

    Amazing Mouse! Worth Every Penny

Pros: Very Comfortable Looks Great Wireless or Wired Cons: Expensive Can be frustrating to get setup right Razer Software I picked this mouse up after my Logitech Mx518 started to get worn out. I originally picked up the Logitech G502 because I thought the Ouroboros was a bit pricey and was under the impression that it was "all show and no go." I ended up returning my G502 because it was not comfortable, and my hand was sore after a few hours of gaming. I decided to take the plunge and pony up the cash for this bad boy, and let me tell you what it was worth every penny. Took awhile to get setup the way I liked it. (Replaced both side panels with the ones without the skirt). It was a bit time consuming to get the back palm rest in the proper position but it was rewarding in the end. Thing looks great next to my Blackwidow Chroma. Bonus points for the cool display style charger. Recommended for sure.

    Absolutely Fantastic!

This mouse is fantastic. The Razer Ourobouros is a mouse I had wanted for little over a year now, and this experience goes far past what I imagined. The 8200 DPI is not only fittingly quick, but also insanely responsive, even on my slow old laptop. The Synapse configurator is perfect for my needs, and I have noticed a rapid increase in my gaming ability since my purchase of this product. I was able to customize this extremely versatile peripheral to just the way my hand fits it. When I first saw the mouse, my only concern was that it would be a little bit too big for my fingertip-grip style, but Razer ceases to amaze, and it was perfect, even for my large-ish hands. If I had one complaint, it would be the difficulty of use for the right sensitivity clutch, but since I am right-handed, this is just because I'm using my pinkie, so that might just be my problem. Either way, this product fits perfectly into my gaming necessities, and is exactly the mouse I've been searching for. Cheers, Razer, and keep up the good work! (Side-Note: Not necessarily the best ergonomic fit, but, since I am not a very big fan of ergonomic grips, it suits me just fine!)

    Smoothest Mouse for your buck!

i loved how right off the box how solid it felt. i been through 6 mouses in the last 3 years and this by far is my favorite i was reading up on it before it was ever released and i loved how they were finally aiming for a mouse that can fit just about any hand out there. my other mouses i had would always cramp my hands after 1 hr of use the oros i can go all day if i wanted to. for gaming i use it with BF4, TF2, SWTOR and GTA-V in game my sniping has improved my aim is steady and not jumping around, in SWTOR i bindied my mouse buttons to spells and my starfighter rating has jumped up. besides gaming i also use it for music production, desinging, photoshop, CAD, surf and so on...the only problem i had was setting the DPI in game where it would freeze but after resetting synapse everything would work fine again. i love how you can switch from wired to wireless. overall its an excellent mouse and would recommend it to serious user who would use it for prolonged hours...this is my all around mouse and pairing it with my razer blackwidow added a concrete feel especially when gaming.

Bought my Ouroboros a year ago, and I will probably buy another one when this dies. I wouldn't recommend this for just anyone, this mouse is either for A. a hardcore gamer or B. someone who enjoys buying expensive stuff.

If only it came in Chroma...

This mouse is very good. It can be customized to be a more traditional mouse or the default. I prefer the default, as the default version gives pseudo "rests" for your thumb and pinky when using a five-finger grip, which is all but essential for PC gaming. It being an ambidextrous build is another plus, as my left-handed friends can also easily use it. It's got fantastic response time, and I've not had any squeaking issues, dead buttons, or anything like that. The only real annoyance I've had with it so far is that, because the mouse isn't a "Chroma" product, the lighting is the green. A Chroma version of this mouse would be, in my opinion, the penultimate gaming mouse, since you'd actually be able to customize the LED lights to match your rig. The bottom button on the pinky side is a bit hard to reach, too, but that's hardly an issue considering how many buttons it has.

This mouse is perfect for hard gaming. It has a solid feel and fits my hand thanks to the adjustments you can make. I replaced my R.A.T. 7 with this mouse and this mouse is way better for gaming. it is extremely accurate and never gives me a problem.

First of all the packaging of this mouse is unparalleled to anything I've seen for gaming equipment. It looks like it should be in a showcase or something. The mouse reminds me a little for the MadCatz mouses but I feel that Razer puts a little more effort into the quality of their products. The mouse feels great in your hands and is customizable. It comes with a charging dock, a AA rechargeable battery and some customizable pieces to the mouse. The mouse feels great and is very responsive. I would definitely recommend this mouse for anyone who wants to up their game.

    The Best Mouse.

This is a great mouse. It looks and feels great and I love it. You can take off the side wings and replace them with rubber pads that come with the mouse. It is very easy to adjust with length using the screwdriver that is given to you. You can change the arch of the palm rest depending on how you hold the mouse (claw, palm, fingertip). The scroll wheel is great and has a satisfying click when pressed. The two buttons right below them are also good. There are buttons on the side where the wings are but I found these hard to use and turned them off. The Razer green lights are just the cherry on top for this amazing mouse. You can change what each button does using Razer Synapse.

I had a really bad mouse before that always kept disconnecting. Then I found out about Razer and they're wide range of products so I checked them out and found out that they made mice so I automatically took the survey to see which mouse suited me the best so I found the Razer Ouroboros. After I bought it and used it I found that it was really comfortable since I was ambidextrous I loved that when something bad happened to on hand I could just easily switch. To sum it all up this mouse is great and I recommend it to anyone who plays games daily.
