I LOVE THIS MOUSE!!!

I was able to customize it to fit my hand perfectly. The dpi levels are fantastic even though I rarely need the full 8200 dpi. And the ability to slow it down when I need to be precise for sniping in Sniper Elite 3 has actually paid off more than I even expected giving me an edge up where a more standard mouse may have caused me to miss a shot. Got this on sale for a screaming deal and I couldn't be happier with my purchase! Yet another awesome product from and awesome company! JOIN THE CULT!

Amazing product, enough buttons for playing games such as mobas, or fps games, or any steam games at all. The way it is designed comfortable for my hand and easy to use, I can also click rapidly which make use of great mechanics within the mouse. Yes I would recommend this to anyone who would like it. The only down side is that it gets loose as you use it more but not too much but it's ok.

I use this mouse to navigate through my tax form on tax software using the L/R triggers, and navigate through windows explorer and webpages using side buttons. Use, top buttons to copy/paste, and wheel button to delete. These are my most common "time consuming"commands. I save a lot of time and enjoy my work more, because of this gaming mouse's versatility!

I got this as a gift for my fiancé who loves gaming. His reaction was nothing short of ecstatic! He has a collection of mice and usually switches them out periodically according to what he is playing but since getting him this, he hasn't used anything else. The fact that it is customizable is a complete hit with him. I am very pleased with this product!

I haven't even opened the box up yet and i already am in love with it. I was going through Best Buy looking for different gaming headsets and I came across this mouse and i loved it. It looks incredible. I wasn't going to buy it because of the price but i was reading reviews and I couldn't find one single bad review.

Razer Ouroboros is the best mouse I have ever used. It not only fits my hand perfectly, but I can adjust the sensitivity so that it reacts how I need it to. Its perfect for gaming, and also for everything else.

Pretty Mouse - Terrible Functionality

If you like style and don't care about substance or performance, this is the mouse for you.
I love the look of this mouse, it is very stylish - as is the case with most all Razer products. However, it is becoming increasingly clear to me that Razer is all looks. This mouse will REQUIRE you to get a Razer account, and if you are unable to create that account, you will be stuck using this $150 mouse as a standard plug-and-play. You will also be unable to calibrate it, and unless you like the default speeds, it may be unusable.
This mouse is... "wireless". I have had other great mice that were actually wireless. Meaning, they had a very discreet USB receivers and that was it. This has a long cord which connects to the charging hub which MUST be plugged in to work. In other words, it is wired - you just have the option of running the wire to a hub, or directly to the mouse. (Not wireless, in my opinion, and little/no added convenience.)
The worst problem, however, is Synapse. As mentioned above, if Synapse is not running, the mouse is a brick. And Synapse. Is. The. Worst. At best, it takes several minutes to start after booting up. At the moment, however, Synapse just won't start at all. Checking around several forums about this issue, it appears that this is not a new or isolated problem. Yet Razer has apparently done very little to fix the issue.
Which brings me to my final point: Razer has had very very disappointing support service in my experience. After waiting about a week for a response on my first issue, I was only told that I should contact a different department in Razer support. Literally - it was like getting to the front of the line at the DMV only to be told to go wait in the other line.

The razer ouroboros mouse is a wonderful piece for anyone who is looking for a wireless mouse. The piece's customization option for the hand is a bit confusing at first, but once you understand the mechanics of the mouse, you will find yourself a mouse that is both appealing to the eyes and the comfort of your hand.
The plug and play of the wireless option is easy as pie, just plug the adapter to the usb, then install the battery onto the mouse, no headache to set up what so ever. It's honestly a no brainer. To my surprise how consistent the connection is as well. I have had wireless mouse in the past, let's just say that they lose connection once in awhile and it gets really frustration while playing your favorite game.

Problems with 2 out of 3, right out of boxes....

So you think you saw the coolest mouse ever, in the fancy packaging, touting itself as the king of mice. Wireless gaming, adjustable, replaceable sides, high res., and thought "I just have to have that."
Well, ... that's what my kids and I thought. I bought three of them.
So, ... the packaging is confusing, which prompts you to read the manuals. (Which I ended up doing..) And once out of the packaging, we got them all hooked up and left them over-night to charge. Low and behold, the next day, ... two of the three didn't work, ... right out of the box.
TURNS OUT, A LOT OF THEM HAVE BAD BATTERIES! Now, ... you can contact the manufacture (which is what the website says to do if you get all three lights blinking,) but they'll tell you that they can send you a battery if you'll pay the shipping.. THEY ARE NiMH AA's (1 in each mouse.) The cost to ship them is the same as to stop and buy decent quality ones yourself.... So, ... do yourself a favor, ... EVEN IF YOUR BATTERY WORKS, ... GO BUY DECENT QUALITY ONES YOURSELF! Our third one would only run for about 4-5 hours before its battery was dead. So, ... we replaced that one as well. Now we get battery life it's "supposed" to get.
Even worse, ... THE BATTERY ONLY LASTS FOR 8-10 HOURS (NORMALLY!) Now, ... I have logitech mice around here that have had the same AA's in them for MONTHS that get heavy usage, .... no problem. These can't even make it a whole day???? Apparently, ... it's so important to have led's shining all over the place that they'd rather you can't get a full day out of a charge, just so you can see how pretty it is "while it works."
Secondly, ... two of the three mice we were replacing were R.A.T. 7's, ... that cost substantially less than these did, ... but were constructed with metal plates, ... lots of metal parts, etc... (While they do have their own issues, ... they are durable. THESE MICE ARE ALL PLASTIC! (FOR OVER $100)
We decided that although we'd have to charge them everyday, ... (and my oldest doesn't, ... he leaves his connected to USB all the time, defeating the purpose of wireless, ... because during the weekend, ... he can't even get through the day without it dying...) we'd keep them...
I should also mention that there are two versions of this mouse. Overseas you can get the same model but the back end of it has tabs you can push to remove it, giving you quick/easy access to the battery compartment. On the U.S. model, ... you have to take screws out. (Which don't come all the way out, so you don't lose them, ... but they also "stick" making it difficult to adjust the butt of the mouse and even more annoying when you want to change out the battery. (I bought two 4 packs of rechargeables, so if it did die while I was playing, I could swap out with a freshly charged one.)
Also, ... you'll notice within a month that the charger it comes with is NOT a smart charger, ... so battery life will quickly start to fall off (memory effect in NiMH batteries.) So, ... be prepared (if you want your batteries to last) to drop another $50 on a decent smart charger for NiMH AA's and do a refresh cycle on them at least once a month. (If you can get the battery out.. lol...)
Two months later, ... one is officially dead! Why?? It fell off my desk. (So, ... not covered under warranty) and not built to handle even the slightest fall... We're talking a 30 inch fall, for a lightweight mouse... DEAD!
So, ... my advice... If you want $20 worth of packaging and you don't mind a cheap plastic gaming mouse with lots of green glow, horrible battery life and that can't handle ANY form of fall, etc... Grab one up while you can! Woohoo! (Sarcasm! Save yourself the trouble, ... get something else....)
If I can't find something decent, from someone else (The R.A.T. 7 suffers from the fact that it doesn't have isolated circuitry, so touching any metal part on it with any static buildup immediately locks it up until you unplug it and plug it back in,) ... I guess have to go back to Logitech.. (Sad day, ... they're cheap, ... but at least if it breaks, ... I'm not out $100+)
P.S. I.T. guy with expensive taste in tech... I just can't seem to find a well built mouse. I should have known better. Have had several friends with Razer mice who've complained about pre-mature wear of all the pads and rubber surfaces... I thought I'd give them a try anyway, ... Wasn't worth it....

I did not really buy this mouse for gaming. I bought it based on precision needs in Adobe Photoshop and other Adobe products I use alot. The precision is AMAZING!! It is also very comfortable and very customizable button wise.

Great piece of engineering in design. The adjust-ability of the Ouroboros makes it a very unique mouse in an industry of duplicators. Awesome functionality as well in programming.

Returned Twice - Defective

I bought this mouse given I was looking for a Razer gaming mouse to match with my Razer DeathStalker. The only difference between my DeathStalker and the Ouroboros, however, is that I still happily have my DeathStalker. The first time I bought this mouse, performance was great. Battery life is more than acceptable for gaming (yes, this means hours), DPI is amazing, seamless switching between wired and wireless, just absolute. However, two months in the battery which came with the device died. No, it didn't drain - it died. It would no longer charge, and it had to be wired from there on. Not a big deal, it's fine. Until I read the warranty would be void if I used a non-Razer provided battery, meaning if I wanted another one I'd have to order from them. I decided to wait and just use the mouse wired, but viola, three months after that the middle button stopped working completely. It had no response whatsoever. Frustrated (given the price, I expected a quality device), I went to my local BestBuy and returned it, asking for an exchange (defects aside, this mouse was perfect), which is what leads to my second experience with the mouse. As soon as I got home, I let it charge, as must be done. After doing so, I played a few games and bamn - the right-click button made a faint, yet clear, squeaking sound. I can not express how, as a gamer, annoying this is. It's unacceptable. I planned on returning it soon, but before I could do that, bamn! The left-click key started doing the same! Completely frustrated, I now plan on getting an exchange for a different mouse, hopefully one which does not have any defects!

The Razer Ouroboros mouse is an awesome ambidextrous high-end gaming mouse. It is quite comfortable and easy to adjust to each specific game. The software that it is paired with makes changing key bindings really simple and convenient. There are a lot of different buttons/keys to change, allowing the player to eliminate awkward keyboard functions. The mouse is also very aesthetically pleasing, reminiscent of a stealth fighter. The mouse is a little expensive, but I think it is definitely worth the price.

First off, the packaging this mouse is contained within is amazing. I didn't plan on buying a mouse, but when I seen this mouse perched upon a pedestal I had to buy it. My favorite thing about it is how easy it was to set up. I have a Razer Black Widow so I already had razer synapse. I plugged it in and was using it within seconds. Also buying this mouse makes my purchase of buying a Macbook Pro somewhat less of an abomination to the gaming community.

I got this mouse to keep my fingers from touching my glass mouse pad.
Pro: big enough for giant hands. the wings. packaging was beautiful!
Con: Screws holding mouse on the mount were so tight that i struggled for quite some time. Also, the mouse has been plugged in for a couple hours yet the battery is blinking still.
