Good keypad, some quality control issues
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Recenly bought to use on new gaming laptop. First one I obtained had a rattling sound coming from the keypad area when rolled from side to side. Contacted Razer Support, they in turn told me that it was NOT a sound that should be there. Returned to store, obtained new one. The new one works flawlessly, no odd sound, keys are responsive. I do have a slight issue with the software. The software is less streamlined compared to an old Belkin N52te, The lights do work wonderfully, but the palm rest only has two settings (the Belkin had 4), Luckly my hand fits well in the closest setting. Overall, I would not recommend. It has qualities both better and inferior to my old Belkin, the thumb keys are better, but the Tartarus lacks a scroll wheel. The buttons are easier to press, but the software is in my opinion worst.

Great for RTS!

The thumb stick alone enhanced my RTS gaming plus the additional 15 programmable keys on top made it easy to create hotkeys during intense battles. Those split seconds help out my gaming experience a lot.

Fully customizable

I think this was a solid accessory with some learning curves. The customiziable options are fantastic. You can set up control method for every game. Still not exactly sure what I prefer from traditional KB to this but this KB is good to have in clutch gaming situations
