Many appreciate the wireless functionality and comfortable ergonomics, along with the high-quality build and responsive performance. The mouse of mice

I love this mouse and I've had it for almost a year now. It's the only one I've found worthy of replacing my ancient MS Optical Ambidextrous Mouse, aside from one little thing.
Yes, this mouse is ambidextrous. For those needing this type of mouse, this is it. I have never liked wireless mice in the past. The couldn't perform well in games, would disconnect, sluggish, etc. Not this one. It acts like it is a wired mouse.
The charging base is good. I wish it was a little better on "clicking" into place, but that's a minor gripe.
The colors are a nice touch. It's not as cool as you'd think for a mouse. Yes, they could've done better with it. My old MS Optical has better lighting. What's cool is the lights change and can be programmed. The app that you have to install with it is kind of a memory hog in Windows, and it has way too much non-essential stuff in it, but it does the job.
With the paired manufacturer keyboard, the lighting effects become much better. I did go all in on Razer, but the keyboard is another review.
What's my one lingering issue with this near perfect mouse? The weight. It's too light. The MS Optical was the perfect weight. Have I gotten used to it, yes. Do I still go back to the MS Optical, yes. Mainly it's when the battery needs to be charged though. I thought about taking a star off for it, but really, that's more like 1/2 a star, so I left it at 5.
There's a lot more this mouse can do, like have macros in games (which I don't use), change profiles based on apps or games (which I don't use), and a few other things. That's all available with the bloated software that it comes with. I did think about taking a star or 1/2 off for the software, but software can be updated, so I didn't do that and that would penalize the hardware which is really what the review is based on. I would rate the software 3 stars at the time of this writing and it's been the same for at least a year.
I did get this mouse when it was on sale because the full price was insane. So, with the price I paid, lighting, wireless, ambidextrous, and everything I use it for: gaming, office, programming, Windows general use - it has definitely been worth it.

This exceptional mouse has elevated my computing experience to new heights. Its featherweight design provides effortless gliding across my workspace, while its remarkable battery life ensures uninterrupted productivity for extended periods. Razer Synapse empowers me to create and personalize macros with ease, streamlining my workflow and boosting efficiency. The customizable RGB lighting adds a touch of elegance and personalization, making it a visually captivating addition to my setup.

I really wanted to give this mouse 5 out of 5 because the its light weight, ergonomics, build quality, pointer speed and precision are all fantastic but now my white one's usb dongle is dying out. It keeps disconnecting and reconnecting every literal second making it worthless. Cable connection is fine and yes I tried it on 3 different systems. The black one I had first can't simply lay on the charger, it has to be held in a specific place for it to continuously charge, like a stapler or pen can to prevent it from disconnecting and coming back to a near dead mice when its time to work.
In short: they last anywhere for 1 to 2 years before they have significant issues.

The mouse was good but ended up returning. The build was good, very light, had great clicks, and the wireless worked well. Unfortunately I have big hands and couldn't get used to the shape. The side buttons are poorly implemented and too buried into the sides; also had to disable the buttons on the right side so I wouldn't accidentally trigger something in game. I had been using the G305 so I figured the smaller size would be fine but the Viper just didn't work for my hand. I purchased the Orochi V2 at the same time, and although it's small, I find it to be much more comfortable and the quality is the same; definitely an upgrade to the G305. The side buttons are superior to the Viper. Viper clicks are bit more satisfying, but the overall features, ergonomics, etc are better on the Orochi I find.

For the major price drop that I got this for, $55, i dont think there is a better option. Wireless with a charging dock, white, rgb. You cant beat it. So far the experience has been good, I already use razer synapse so it was no problem to switch to. Mouse feels snappy and good in the hand, the two side buttons are a little off from my natural thumb position but it's not the end of the world.

Since release I was interested in getting it, I've had my share few of mice and I've used some wireless ones like the GPro from logitech. I personally didn't believe that much reviewers saying that 'Oh this is the best mouse ever. Period.' But since I was intrigued into getting all wireless, I gave it a shot and purchased it directly from Razer.
My first thoughts unboxing it, was "this actually looks more premium than I imagined". After all unboxing, and connecting it, I just thought it was so natural for me to hold. The shape is awesome, the clicks are on point (and better than mechanical switches in my opinion) and the grip felt nice. I came from finalmouse UL2 and I compared it to my UL air58, and while it's heavier, I just prefer this for being wireless AND because I can take this easily to school and just plug the receiver. Also, important fact, the battery lasts a TON. Haven't measured it correctly but it's been more than 2 days since i charged it with lights on.
P.S. In case you wondered, the cable feels like a custom one from Paracord or the Phantom Cord from FM. It's just great if you want to play plugged while charging.

This mouse is GREAT! Obviously a few pros and cons, so I will list a few:
PROS:
Mouse is light
Comes with a charging dock
Mouse is Wireless
Many RGB modes
Fast Charging
CONS:
mouse may be *slightly* too light for those who are used to heavier mice
if you use the mouse too aggressively, you will notice some wear in the switches
Thats it! I got this mouse when it was on sale for $120 with the charging dock!

I've owned a Logitech G602 and G305. The side buttons on the G602 failed me after a few years and the weight was a bit high but the mouse served me well. The left and right clicks on the G305 started to double click on me. Hearing about Logitech's double clicking issues across many of their mice drove me away from getting another Logitech.
I went with the Viper Ultimate because of the optical switches. Although they don't feel as good as the G305, they shouldn't have double click issues. Build quality is great. No rattling or anything. Battery life is shorter than my previous mice but it's good enough. The charging dock seemed like a gimmick to me but It's actually pretty nice. Great weight. Not much to say about that. Scroll wheel tension is a bit high out of the box but it's gotten looser in the month I've been using the mouse. Took a bit to get used to the shape after using the G305 but I love it now.
My only gripe is that the mouse feet are good, but way too thin. the bottom of the mouse rubs on my mousepad if I push too hard. Might replace them in the future. Because of the thin feet the crevices around the sensor and the charging port collect a lot of dust from the mouse constantly scraping on the pad.

Nice upgrade from Glorious model O

I upgraded to this mouse when it was on sale and my Glorious model O started creaking. This mouse was the perfect upgrade. The shape was just slightly wider and lower than the model O which helped take away the slight cramping I was getting. The weight is pretty much the same I don't notice any difference which is great because this mouse does not have those cutouts like the model O. Also, the fact that this mouse is wireless was a complete game changer. I never realized how great it was to not have a wire until now and I don't think I could go back. The biggest thing keeping me from buying a wireless mouse was having to charge it, but this mouse holds a charge very long. I normally place it on the included charging dock every 4 or 5 days over night and then I never have to worry about it dying. If you are considering buying this mouse then do yourself a favor and get it. Another great feature is that I was able to set up the front side button on the right as a hypershift so that I can hold that and use a secondary layer for my media controls. I also now prefer razer synapse to corsair iCue software so I will be switching my other accessories over to work with that now.

Pretty In Pink: Viper Ultimate Quartz Edition

The Quartz edition of the Viper Ultimate wireless gaming mouse is a high quality Purchase. The most notable difference between the Quartz and the Original Black version is the improved Click feel in the mouse 1 and 2 clicks. While the box says the mouse is 78 grams, I weighed it and it came out to about 76 grams.
At 76 grams, the shape and weight balance of this mouse is great for FPS games. The mouse can be used in Claw, Palm and Fingertip grip styles. I found palm grip to be the hardest use though, due the Viper Ultimates low centered hump. You won't lose you grip however due to the rubberized side grips on the mouse to help with handling. Another good feature are the PTFE mouse feet, they give an amazing glide making all movements feel natural.
One huge feature to this mouse that many others don't have is that comes with a Charging Dock. While the mouse already has great battery life at 70 hours, The ability to just plop the mouse on to the charging dock and never think about battery life. The charging dock is also quick charging, powering the Viper Ultimate to full battery in about an hour.
All in all this is a great purchase for you or the gamer in your life.

First Razer product! Impressed!

This is my first Razer product I've purchased. I was a bit intimidated by the price, but I needed a new mouse that would last and match my setup. This mouse is easy to set up and surprisingly very light weight! The color is beautiful, the only downside I think would be that it could get dirty pretty easily. The RGB is customizable with the Razer Synapse app, as well. The charging dock has a sticky bottom, too, so it'll stay in place and keep your mouse from moving!

It's crazy if I had told myself even 5 years ago that I would purchase a $150 mouse. I mostly use $10-$25 mice.
In building my desktop PC, I am going for a whiter, lighter theme instead of black and it was not easy to find white peripherals, such as a good white/grey mouse.
I have tried the Glorious Model D, Model O, Logitech Pro X Superlight, and a Roccat mouse. The Glorious Model D and Model O are both too light for my liking. The Logitech Pro X is nice but it looks boring but it is a wonderful mouse in terms of performance.
The Razer Viper Ultimate is very light, but not too light. The weight is perfect. It performs comparable to the Logitech Pro X but also comes with a charging dock that also acts as a wireless receiver. The design is also much nicer and not boring.
Although expensive, this mouse is amazing and the color options are nice and classy.

Extremely light and powerful, love that I can just put it to charge with ease. Very responsive. I used to have the alienware mouse and it would run out of battery and then I had to find the cable. A mission. This mouse has made my life much easier. Strongly recommend it.
