Massive refinements and a top notch mouse

Packaged in classic Razer packaging, you will find your mouse, the dongle and a very generously lengthed USB-C to USB-A cable.
I love the external design of the dongle that also has a USB-C port and connects to the same cable as your mouse. As a result, you can run the braided USB cable to your desk to place the dongle as close to your mouse as possible. When the mouse needs charging, you just disconnect the cable from the dongle and connect it directly to your mouse to charge.
Upon first use, the sensitivity was too much and it was all over the place and I couldn't adjust it to my liking. Looking online, there was a firmware update for both the dongle and the mouse and once applied it worked smooth as silk.
I go through a lot of gaming mice but I settled down on a Razer Deathadder V3 wired mouse about a year ago as I really liked the feel and responsiveness to it for playing games. I've been using it for about a year so I was delighted to see the Viper V3 Pro has the same basic design but is just a touch smaller. In comparison, it has better clicks and moves better because there is no cable getting in the way. Pictured side by side, you can see they are very much related.
I play Fallout 76 and World of Warcraft daily so I was able to get right in and judge the feel and responsiveness of the Viper V3 Pro compared to not only my Deathadder V3 but my Corsair M75 Wireless and the Viper V3 Pro is the superior mouse no question. It handles much better and passed my flick test with top marks. Moving and aiming is very responsive and for the first time it is on par with wired mice if not superior to most except the best. My only problem now is I'm so used to tugging the mouse from time to time to adjust for the cable on my previous wired mice that I find myself phantom tugging on the Viper but i'm sure this will subside sooner than later.
I do not like over complicated mice with all types of buttons and gimmicks and the straight forward functionality of the Viper with just two additional buttons on the side is perfect. It is spartan in the best way.
There are also quality of life improvements too and two things I love: One is the Viper doesn't have a slot for the dongle which I appreciate as I prefer the solid ergonomics of the Viper as is. Second is the indicator light on top that lights up when charging or first waking up the mouse to let you know it's ready to go then quietly fades away. The M75 and several other wireless devices I've tried either don't have an indicator light or it stays on the entire time in use which is distracting. These little design decisions go a long way.
I consider the Viper V3 Pro the big BIG brother to the Deathadder V3 and it is now my new daily driver.
Fantastic!

The Viper V3 is a great mouse. I was using the first-gen Razer Viper. I figured it was time for an upgrade, and this did not disappoint. The clicks feel nice, it's very responsive. I'm impressed by how lightweight this thing is, and somehow Razer managed to get this thing to have 95 hours of battery life. Love the soft rubber coating on the mouse as well, way better than just having it be plastic. Overall great mouse, would buy again.

Best esports mouse I have ever used

This mouse has become my daily driver for pretty much everything. For context, I play Collegiate esports, specifically Overwatch, at a very high level. I am always looking for the best peripherals that could potentially improve my gameplay, and also enjoy collecting them. I have used many popular mice such as the final mouse ULX, the superlight, the Beast X mini, etc. While some of those mice are much lighter than the viper v3 pro, I have found that I perform best with this mouse. This mouse has the best weight balance I have ever used and even though it sits at an average 54g, I find that its balance makes it hard to notice the difference. To my knowledge, this is also the only Razer mouse to come with the hyperpolling dongle in the box. That brings me to the polling rate performance. This mouse also has the best performance I have seen in terms of high polling rate. At 8k hz polling, it also has the best battery life I have measured. Many people will say that high polling rates are a gimmick, but I assure you that if you play at a high level with a high refresh rate monitor, you will most likely be able to tell the difference. If you are looking for a mouse for highly competitive shooters, I can’t recommend this enough. I bought it on a whim and am so happy I did.

Build quality is 10/10, no flexing, or creaking, its solid and feels high end when using
Sensor is very good, its accurate, fast and no lag. No complaints and you can customize it in the software
mouse feet are very nice and fast. For stock skates, they are prob the best you can get straight out of the box
The buttons and clicks are nice and crispy, no mushy side buttons and a lighter switch. scroll feels high quality too.
Bc of the shape, its a very comfortable for long gaming sessions and never had it hurt or cramp my hand at all and perfect for all types of grips. I palm grip but if you claw or fingertip its perfectly fine for that too. The battery is solid. Do i wish it was a little bit stronger yea. But its still a very good battery and charges very fast with usb type c. Just remember that if you use a higher polling rate in the software your battery life will decrease but thats fine bc you don't need for than 2000hz bc anything more than that, you won't notice any diffrence.
A very good mouse and its great for the money. 9/10

I have been a long time Razer user with almost my entire PC eco system from keyboard to water cooling for my cpu. I currently have the Razer Viper V2 Pro Hyperspeed and with the new optical Viper V3 gaming mouse being released, I had to see if it was actually an upgrade. I can be honest, the V2 has had a bug with my system for the past 10 months, I would have to unplug the cable from the PC and plug it back in every time I let my PC go to sleep. The new V3 has already proven to me, the V2 did not like me or my PC.
Now, upon opening the small box, I pull out the sensor and then the piece of paper, lol, that is what the mouse feels like. When Razer says it is ultra lightweight, they should have put a label on it that says "We Swear There Is a Battery In It". I honestly thought they forgot the battery in the box, but no, it is just that lightweight.
The wireless speed of this mouse when tested with my reaction time was 103 milliseconds on average, the old V2 was just over 120 milliseconds, so there is a definite difference when I am using it, especially when playing FPS games. Please understand that these times were ran with my reaction time on movement speed and button clicks added up and averaged over 20 tests. Compared to my Wired mouse, we are within an average of 5 milliseconds on average, so I no longer need to use wired for gaming when fps versus click and movement speed is relative.
Connecting the Viper V3 Pro was an absolute breeze and finally never loses connectivity. I am so happy with that alone, no more frustration. The cord and pickup have a small footprint, basically, invisible to anyone looking at your desk. Razer's software is amazing in there eco system, I really enjoy the ease of using Razer. Yes, Razer is expensive and many people think they are overpriced, but when you have this entire ecosystem under one control, it makes it worth every penny especially with their amazing quality.
Thanks Razer for a great new Mouse option!

Good shape, decent weight, battery life is great even in 4 and 8k polling. only gripe about the mouse is that the hyperpolling dongle that is included with the mouse only works with the v3 pro and not the other razer mice compatible with higher polling rates. the price is also a little bit on the steep end while there are other serviceable mice with similar wireless tech at about half the price. other than that its a mouse with a great shape and im sure anyone that picks it up will not be disappointed.

INITIAL IMPRESSIONS
The Viper V3 Pro is an incremental evolution to the Viper line. With a slightly higher optical resolution, excellent ergonomics, and a premium feel, Razer has done enough to keep the Viper V3 at the top of their competition.
USE
I have an esports gaming mouse from Razer’s primary competitor. Each manufacturer claims that their collaboration will make their product the best of the best. After receiving the competitor’s product, I was left underwhelmed. Their mouse is so light, if feels cheap. The material is so thin, to save weight, it feels flimsy. Not to mention its awkward design and ergonomics. As you can tell, I don’t like the competition. While it may be everything their paid spokesman wants, I’d rather have a cheap mouse that comes with a pre-built. Ouch.
I was not expecting excitement when I got the V3 Pro. Their new collaboration concerned me with my experience from the competition. I must say, I am pleasantly surprised. The Viper V3 Pro takes everything I like about the previous generation of Viper and improves upon it. The ergonomics are spot on.
The mouse has a very premium feel. Razer’s latest switches are smooth and linear, conveying an actuation and sound of richness and precision. Unlike other lightweight mice that make the same sound as a $5 discount mouse. The Razer is slick and quiet. Razer’s mouse is slightly heavier than my other gaming mouse and I am grateful. It isn’t as heavy as a lot of the others, but a tad heavier than the lightest. Honestly, it is like Goldilocks’ porridge. The weight is “just right”.
The bottom of the Viper supports Razer’s latest Generation 2 optical sensor. Sporting a resolution of 35,000 DPI and an accuracy of 99.8%. The sensor is way better than my gaming skills could ever take advantage of. Movements are accurate, precise, and has no hint of jerkiness or skipping regardless of using my mousepad, desktop, or in a pinch, a piece of paper. Speaking of the bottom of the mouse, I REALLY like the extra-large feet. They help the mouse glide smoothly over any surface I’ve used it on.
NEGATIVES
I still hate the system resource hog that Razer calls Synapse.
One thing that Razer has failed compared to its primary competitor is the USB wireless dongle. It is too large. Razer’s primary competitor has got it right. A dongle that plugs directly into a USB-A port and barely sticks out. As small as the smallest of thumb drives. Not the Razer. It is an external dongle that must sit on your desk or somewhere around your laptop. It is roughly the size of CR123A lithium battery.
There are 2 redeemable features for the large dongle. The first, like Razer’s competition, is that it now supports pairing more than one peripheral. Secondly, the sole LED indicator light is a nice feature. Using the Synapse software, you can use it to display 1 of 3 different pieces of information. I use it to show the state of charge of the mouse. Green / Amber / Red. Very nice.
Razer only includes 1 USB-A to USB-C cable with the Viper Pro, leaving the end user to supply their own USB-A to USB-C adapter if their computer no longer has an A-style port. Shame on you Razer. The cable is about 3ft long. Long enough to use it to charge the mouse via your laptop, but too long to be tidy with the dongle. A 6-inch or 12-inch cable would be a welcome addition.
MY THOUGHTS & CONCLUSIONS
Aside from the dongle and the Synapse software, the new Viper V3 Pro is a winner. The total design feels high-end and premium. From the actuation of the switches to the overall ergonomics of the mouse, Razer has spent a great deal of effort to make a good product even better. While there are things Razer can still improve upon, they have done enough to keep the Viper at the top of list of favorite gaming mice.

The Razer Viper V3 Pro is an amazing mouse for CS2 and other competitive FPS games. It’s extremely lightweight, very precise, and feels perfectly balanced. The sensor performance is flawless with no noticeable latency, even in wireless mode. Tracking is smooth and consistent, which really helps with accuracy and fast flicks. Battery life is solid, and overall build quality feels premium. This is a top-tier mouse for serious competitive gaming

Awesome mouse, 8K polling rate is awesome and doesn't affect performance assuming your playing not a very high usage game for your cou and gpu which on fortnite my fps stays a stable 360. This is the best mouse I owned. Looking forward to buying another one if something happens to the current.

Ive had 2 logitech gpro’s and 3 gpro superlight’s over the last 4 years or so and I loved them. One of my favorite pro gamers started using the viper v3 pro so I thought why not try it, and I actually really enjoyed the weight but mostly the feel in my hand since I have bigger hands. That was always one thing I found difficult with the gpro’s was just the grip factor. I think both mice are great but purely because of the size and weight I think i’ll stick to this mouse from here on unless a slightly larger g pro is added. Overall the sensor on this mouse is insane, charges rather quickly, the battery lasts a solid 12 hours of constant use, and I enjoy the grip tape it comes with! Definitely should buy this if youre looking to try an alternative to the g pro, or if you have bigger hands and want a lighter mouse with a great sensor!

Its pricey but its worth it. Very light weight and the DPI settings are nice. Scroll wheel is pretty easy to accidently press down, but the shape of the mouse accounts for that. I love this thing and it was a great replacement for my 5 year old mouse.
