I purchased this TV nearly 5 yrs ago & it's still working beautifully. The quality & size is great for my den area, and the price was phenomenal.

I was impressed with the size and easy assemble. However the picture quality leaves a little to be desired as it is not so sharp for a 1080p and the colors are dull. The sound provides poor quality as we must raise the volume to a pitch of 60 in order to be audiblily comfortable. The highest the volume goes up to a 100. I Also have a 40" Samsung LCD with 720p and the picture quality is much sharper & clearer than the RCA plus the sound quality is excellent! E.G. When I adjust the volume on the Samsung to 12, It as loud compared to the RCA at a volume of 60.

I jumped at buying the set with free shipping which would have met my $10/inch criteria but I got nailed for sales tax since there is a Best Buy in Casper, Wyoming. While I was waiting for my set to arrive, the Cheyenne KMart had the same set on the shelf for $399.00 plus 6% tax. I am very satisfied of the service I am getting from the set so far.

For just a shade over $400.00, this TV is great. It was our first flat screen HD TV. Mounted it on the wall of our living room which is on the smaller side as far as area size goes. Does everything I could ask and more. Sound could be slightly better, but not enough of an issue to complain about at all. Extremely happy with the purchase.

my mom bought this tv a little over a week ago, she was being cheap and wanted something for a low price i told her not to get rca but she did anyways. so i hooked it up and the picture was terrible. i did alot of adjustments(which there barely is any i think 3 or 4) but i kept going back and forth with them trying to make the picture better. any1 who thinks this tv has a good picture i suggest u look at another tv then look at this one again and see what your missing. well we thought it might be the cable so we had them come out and adjust everything, still bad sound and picture. the screen seems blurry and also the picture sometimes cant keep up with the rate of the show playing. some things are such bad quality u cant watch them at all. the audio is so bad u can turn it up to 100 and it still isnt loud. i hooked up a ps3 to it for the final picture test, the menu was blurry, avi movies sucked, as well as blu ray movies. dont get this tv. i also read reports of the screen blowing out within 3 weeks. i also have 2 50inch tvs in my home that are plasma and the pictures are outstanding compared to this tv

After 20+ years my big heavy rca tv in the living room needed to be replace so no question about it ,i wanted a rca tv i shopped around and decided on a 42" . After getting it home it didnt fit in my entertaiment center , so off i went to get one and after setting it up and mounting it on it ,, i can say it looks beautiful everyone loves it.. the picture and the sound is great ..

I bought this for this Christmas and it was one of the best choices i've ever made on TVs. I like this TV because it has good picture quality at reasonable price. Happy Christmas!

I got this TV over the weekend and it's just great. Nice picture, decent sound at such a good price. I can now enjoy my movies!

This TV's the bomb! Nice picture with good price.. What else matters?

Buyer Beware! The price may be right, but the quality is not up to par. After adjusting the audio settings with every possible combination, it still is tinny and LOW. The background music is louder than the dialogue and you need to keep the volume all the way up (close to 100) to hear it. And that's using an HDMI connection with uncompressed audio. Now I'll probably have to return it and pay 25% restocking fee. I feel ripped off.
