My laptop speakers are comparable.It sounds like it has a cardboard box over the TV. The picture is barely ok, nothing is crisp or sharp. I tried adjusting the settings for picture and sound; the user interface is about as basic as it can get with very little change to the quality of the sound or picture. Only 2 HDMI ports which is annoying because I need 3 HDMI hookups for my devices. I could pick up an HDMI hub relatively cheap but it's just one more hassle. This is the first RCA TV I have purchased but I doubt I'll be buying another anytime soon if this is an indication of the quality they produce. If all you care about is size to price ratio, have your own sound system or if you are upgrading from an old-style TV- you may be ok with this tv. I will be returning mine.

Terrible picture
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I spent 4 days "tweaking" the settings on this TV to try and get the picture to look good. The contrast is a cliff, virtually all shadows are black. The color would look okay on one program then the next channel or source would look like the actors had makeup done at clown school. I took it back and got the Samsung 60" plasma, set it up in 10 minutes and it looks perfect!!!!! Get a plasma now before they are gone. It should last long enough till they can build an LED or OLED that compares in picture quality.

Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.my 1st 65 inch tv... and less than a week it develops a white spot in the corner about a size of a half dime.. about 6 inches around that is white... picture is horriable compared to the PLASMA i replaced it with. Best news i get was i get a replacement. I'd recommend you buy the geek squad protection.
