    Excellent HDTV Antenna by RCA

When my previous antenna broke and required replacement, I went to Best Buy and purchased this is antenna. For the price and the available options, it was a bargain and much needed upgrade from the previous antenna. With it being compact and more modern looking than my previous model, it added a nice touch to the room. Overall this a fine indoor amplified antenna, especially for the price. It's not going to get you the kind of reception that an outdoor mount can deliver, but it's also not going to cost you nearly as much or require installation.

HD antennas require a bit more research

This antenna worked just fine for what it is. Make sure to go online and do the research on where your tower is. A lot of people just buy the strongest antenna available but this one works great for my location. Setup was quick and easy and it works like a charm. I live in Dayton, Ohio and my channel access is occasionally limited but I didn't expect to get every channel under the sun. If picture quality seems spotty keep in mind that you likely have multiple versions of the channel and may need to switch to the other one. Also listen to your radio for updates about your local television stations, eg. my local station will require televisions with antennas to reprogram their channels after July 15. So you may have do a bit more work than you would with cable, but for a cord cutter who mainly relies on Netflix, Hulu, Prime, and Playstation for entertainment this more than met my needs.

    Never pay for cable again

I haven't had cable since January of this year, nor have I been able to watch television. I relied on my phone to keep with worldly news. I was afraid to buy an antenna because I assumed the screen would have a lot of static as tv used to be in the 80's. Boy was I wrong!!! I have read the comments and I also assumed that if I bought this antenna it wouldn't work because I live in an apartment building, not a private home. I was certainly wrong a second time. With this antenna I can pick up 61 channels and ALL channels are clear as if I have cable. I also am pleased that the directions describe how to load the channel finder on your phone so you can locate your nearest towers. I bought this antenna for my bedroom and I am so content with it that I will be purchasing another one for my living room television. I know this is cliche but I'm going to say it just as other people have said in their reviews, "Who needs cable? I'm not paying for cable anymore".

Bought as a bundle with a Google Chromecast. Easy setup. Picture quality is excellent. Reception is very good to excellent depending on the channel. I pickup about 20 over-the-air channels, so some are more consistent than others. Found that by adjusting the very long antennas I'm able to improve on any reception. However, this is an over-the-air antenna, so it can be affected by adverse weather conditions. This is expected, and so I don't deduct points for it. Combined with the Chromecast and a video game machine, this is perfect for our Cave!

Best Buy associate recommended this antenna and it was improvement over what I had. It is amplified so it brings in a couple of stations I did not get before. Cable was long enough to put antenna in window. And at around $30, a good value. Real solution is to mount outside antenna on roof. Trying to ditch cable and go with antenna TV and some type of streaming TV like Hulu or Sling.

I purchased the antenna in order to disconnect my cable TV. So far it works good Pice wise and quality wise. Only problem is in bad weather a couple of channels are not working. I think it is TV station problem due to weak signal. I recommend as I was recommended by a Bestbuy sales associate.

RCA - Amplified Indoor HDTV Antenna is great to get basic local channels, along with some other channels (about 50 total) for free. To me it is a good deal. Pay for the antenna once, and get free channels.

I recently moved to an area that had all the major network towers within 25 miles and was sick of paying for cable. I must have tried every indoor antenna Best Buy had and came to the conclusion that if you’re less than 20 or so miles of the tower these antennae all work the same. I got the same reception from this, the flat wall hanging antenna, and the most expensive indoor antenna Best Buy carries. Use one of the tower locating apps or websites to determine how far out you are and buy accordingly, you may find $$$ isn't the determining factor with indoor antennas. (Hint, they work better in a window)

I tried this one, the RCA Flat, Omni-directional, amplified antenna, and another brand (no amplification) with this unit performing the best out of the 3. Unfortunately, in the apartment where I was staying, I've been told no indoor antenna will work great but this one was the best. I'm giving it 4-stars and 'recommending it' because my issues with it were more a function of my location, than the RCA antenna. Best Buy was great and very patient with me as I went through the testing.

Was concerned that indoor antenna in my neighborhood would not work. Surprised to find i could get the majority of channels. Picture is very clear since not compressed like cable. One draw back...took some time to find right angles for dipoles. Reminded me of the good, old days.

This antenna works good for what I need. gets a few pixels now and then, but only briefly (seconds). Doesn't gets quite a few channels which is fine for what I need (spare tv, hardly use) Saved me money. about $30 as apposed to $6 a month and not using it.

I bought this antenna to replace a flat panel one. With this one being powered, I am picking up 50 more channels. I was unable to watch most local channels with my other one. This one gets me all local channels abc, nbc, fox, cbs. I do have this antenna inside behind my tv.

The amplified TV antenna works pretty good. We live 50 miles from the broadcast area and can bring in most channels. This antenna is also in a basement so we might be having some trouble getting signal through the cement block wall. Works better than regular rabbit ears.

We needed to set up a TV in a room that we do not have a comcast cable. Plus it was a good opportunity to check out "cutting the cord." We are lucky since we have a straight shot of the TV repeaters . We were looking at a more expensive antenna, but got a great recommendation from the Best Buy sales. He saved a lot of money and this antenna works great. We have a clear picture with no interferrence when we are near the antenna. The set up was easy and straight forward. Took maybe 5 minutes and another hour or so finding the right spot to have the antenna. We are very happy, glad we saved some money, not sure we are going to cut the cord. Have a Roku on that TV also. But we need ESPN for college football. I would recommend this antenna.

For me, in Utica/New Hartford, NY, this antenna received about 5-7 channels well enough to tolerate watching. This is better than the unamplified Insignia in my other review. However, I need to either invest in a rooftop antenna, or use an omnidirectional model.

Antenna provides a clear HD picture and is small in size. Easy to hook up. Is an amplified antenna so you do have to plug in to outlet in addition to hooking up to antenna input on the TV.

The product was easy to set up and access via the tv menu. The positioning of the unit affects the reception and it is a little difficult to get the rabbit ears adjusted properly. Once you have finioshet the adjustments, it works fine. It is good for the price.

We hooked this up to my mother-in-law's TV to see what kind of stations she could pick up. Turns out the antenna allowed us to tune over 50 channels. She was very pleased with the picture quality the antenna provided. The product worked as described.
