Best microphone on the market! Period. Nothing else even comes close!

great mic - just make sure to read the instructions about the db levels

Needed a "shotgun" mic to record church events where the voices or instruments were not near a microphone and not coming through the main soundboard which we normally have plugged into our Canon Vixia HD Camera. This Rode picked up everything and the quality was excellent. Our sound booth is about 50 feet from the stage and everything was very clear. The two adjustment switches on the back are awesome depending on what you are recording. The only thing I can say is that we had to "rig" up another tripod so the mic would be close to the camera because the cord isn't very long. The Vixia doesn't have a "shoe" on top for the Rode to sit in and the hole on the bottom of the Rode is bigger than most tripod's screws, so we made it work with a screw and a couple reducer bushing for around $6.00. May look into getting a bracket for the Rode at a later date but for now it's perfect for our needs.

the sound it produces once i connect it to my camera is amazing! it has minimum to no static noise. the only adjustment i had to do was lower down the volume on my camera once i put it on +20 dB. Def. a big upgrade for sounds on my videos!

This mic picks up great sound. The quality that you receive in your footage is top tier!

This mic was nice, the ONLY reason I returned it was because I thought that I would get tired of buying batteries for it. I exchanged it for the plus, it has a rechargeable battery. But this is nice too!

It works great for videos, and the sounds it great

Great accessory for vlog setup. I use this with Canon 70D and Joey tripod. However, the microphone does not come with batteries or instructions on how to operate. Would not recommend if it wasn’t on sale.

Great mic for run and gun scenarios. Used with a 5D Mark IV. Solid sound at reasonable distances. Self powered is a plus!

It does the basics, 20, 0, -10 decibels, it helps to have decent audio.

its done a great job so far! A bit of background noise has been in my recordings but it could be the large rooms I have filmed in and it cleans up pretty good in adobe audition. Still getting used to the mic too!

This rode mic captured exactly the sound we needed for an outdoor shoot. There were lawnmowers audible and airplanes overhead, but the mic only picked up the audio we needed in our intimate scenes. What a great find!

Great mic for web videos and B-roll cameras, Does what it needs to do, Used it on a feature film as a back up mic and did very well.

The sound quality is excellent on this mic. However, a button fell off the back the first time I used it so I have to take it back and get it replaced. Other than that it works really well. I may just have had a defective one.

I looked up a lot of reviews, and videos on mics and since all i would be shooting is family events, i choose the videomic pro. Sound is very clear once i dial in the settings on my handycam. Very please with the mic.
