I purchased this movie after my friend kept telling me about the book. I didn't see it at the movies, but I did purchase 2 versions of this movie. I bought the 3d version and the 4k version. 3d was great, but the 4k is awesome! The colors and visuals are great. The movie is just fun with plenty of 80s references. I cannot hype this movie enough. 4k is the way to watch this movie.

Far too many 80's references to keep track of but the filmmakers obviously had a field day with them. Gamers might even appreciate it more than the movie fans. Almost non-stop action that is so cleverly done it begs for repeat viewings. The image in 4K is reference quality and the soundtrack matches it. One of Speilberg's most entertaining efforts.

I didn't have the opportunity to watch this in theaters so I knew I had to buy it and I knew 4K was the way to go. And it did not disappoint. It was, of course, visually appealing but to see the characters go on the journey was quite exciting as well. (I have not read the book.) If you are unsure if you want to watch it or not, do it! You will not be disappointed.

Ready Player One, from one of Hollywood's best directors, Steven Spielberg, is a great homage to various aspects of pop-culture from the 1970s-1990s! While not as exactly as the book (particularly in Easter Egg aspects), I like to look at it in the physical medium, and the egg events work for a movie view (and some great aspects to Kubrick).

Wow, I can't believe that I missed this film at the theater. Since I bought it, I'm hooked. The actors, graphics, humor, music and story is awesome. I can't seem to stop watching it, I've now watched it 20 times in 2 weeks. Maybe I don't belong in the real world. Very addicting film. I've purchased nearly every collectible tied to the movie.

I bought Ready Player One without having seen the movie first. I knew I would love it and I do. The movie is interesting but it looks even better! The race within the first 15 minutes of the movie is my go-to reference scene to showcase my sound system. If you have Dolby Atmos, this is a must own movie for you. It is amazing!!!

Ready Player One was an excellent book but how can you fit all of that into a movie? With the book's author, they managed to make to fun and exciting movie that still shares all the references (legally allowed. thanks copyrights!) that are possible, a great soundtrack and it's a visual feast for the eyes. Check it out in 4k!

The story is very good, but what excels in this movie is the incredible effects and all the characters. There are a lot of recognizable characters in the movie so it's fun to be on the look out for what you can spot. The movie looks really good in 4k and the HDR really enhances a lot of scenes and effects.

The master of modern cinema, Steven Spielberg, proves yet again that he hasn't lost a step by directing a film about the potential of VR video games that still manages to harken back to 80's pop culture. Kids of today will love it, kids of yesteryear will love it. The CGI is top notch, the references run the gamut from King Kong to Back To The Future to Iron Giant to Gundam. My personal favorite scene was when our heroes enter The Shining level. Both horror and hilarity ensue. A really enjoyable, fun movie.

I like the film. That is subjective. You may or may not like it. I took a star off because the case was broken when it arrived. It didn’t break in transit. It was plastic wrapped and broken inside the wrap so not sure why they would send it to me like that.

This movie is astounding and perfect for every gamers out there who enjoy gaming, this is a perfect escape to enjoy films mainly about video games and virtual reality. Don't pass this up! Although I am disappointed that I couldn't have the chance to buy this in Steelbook :( but still a great movie!

Ready Player One is the first 4k UHD DVD movie that I've purchased and seen on my TV using my new 4K Samsung sound bar. WoW...I loved this movie especially since I'm all into VR gaming. The picture and sound quality were just phenomenal. I purchased this on sale at a great price and thoroughly enjoyed it.

I loved this movie!! I've seen it twice and I still can't count all of the references to old movies, music, games, etc! The only reason I'm giving it 4 stars is because it did start stopping intermittently after the middle of the movie a few times. .I know that movies I've purchased on release day I normally don't have issues with them but when I purchase these BF deals for under $10 there's usually a problem! Other than that, this movie was great!

In the future, life is so depressing, everyone escapes reality by playing video games. You can be anything or anyone in the gamers universe. And then there's the ultimate game of unlocking the three puzzles to win control of the biggest gaming company. Visually stunning with a lot of your favorite characters.

Was a bit cautious going into this film after hearing mixed reviews. But soon as the film starts you get so hooked on the visual effects and storytelling. Definitely check this movie out if you're looking for some great action and visuals. And the end battle sequence is worth it alone!

If you like Future movies and 80's nostalgia this is the movie for you. I hadn't read the book prior to the movie, and my kids didn't want to see it at first, but by the end we all loved it and had to have a hard copy and digital copy in hand. This is a really good story and great special FX.

I’ve seen this movie several times and have always loved it. Would have bought this sooner had the digital copy came with either the DVD or Blu-Ray. Sadly it did not. So I got this little baby during Black Friday for a great price and guess what— it comes with a digital copy. :)

Instead of using the Dolby or DTS:X demo disc, use this. HDR pops when entering the Oasis. Atmos is present in every single scene. During the shootout, you will hear bullets whiz above, behind, and in front of you. Absolutely one of the best uses of HDR and Atmos I have seen.

Action, Adventure, Suspense, Syfy, Futuristic, Fun. It's awesome!

I originally read the book in the book was an amazing thing, but seeing it in the film was really good too. Although it wasn't a perfect copy of what the book was trying to show it was so full of amazing pop culture references and nerdy things to geek out on throughout the whole film
