Spielberg delivered a highly entertaining science fiction movie with loads of great 80’s references, musically and visually. Wonderful production values,.. great story...so much fun on a number of levels, coupled with a good message.

It's the future, i've been watching TV and 2 movies since the black and white days and I believe this is going to happen. If not something awfully close. Very entertaining, I was on the edge of my seat for some of the action.

This movie was great! As someone who read the book I can tell you it's very different, but you can tell that the author (who wrote the screenplay) made the changes so that it would be faster-paced. 4K is the way to go here.

I'm a huge fan of this movie so getting the 4K was something I really wanted to do. I am in no way disappointed by the picture, but the Blu-Ray picture is already just so good that the difference between the Blu-Ray and the 4K is not THAT noticeable. Still, if you're a die-hard fan of this movie or if you don't own it at all yet, this is the version to buy.

Ready player one is a great movie, the picture quality is amazing. The Blu-ray version looks great but the 4k version is out of this world. If you like action and adventure this may just be the movie for you.

I dont get the hate this move gets from readers of the mom book. This was fun, with believable characters and good acting. The Audio and video will blow you away especially on a good player such as the panasonic udp 820.

If you really enjoy your 4k movies this is a must have. I never read the book, but this movie will put you in a trance by its beauty.....don’t judge it in the beginning wait till he goes into the oasis and then boom! Enjoy

An interesting reverse Matrix concept in what feels like a very real possibility given everything about the world today. Fun visuals, a soundtrack any 80's kid will enjoy, and tons of fun easter eggs throughout the film.

While the book tells the story a little differently and in greater depth, the story the movie tells does a fantastic job of telling a parallel story with a lot of the book’s elements! I recommend both the book and movie!

Very nostalgic 80's and 90's movie with lots of entertainment and video game references and Easter eggs. The book is better, but how would the original challenge of playing a game of Joust played out on the big screen?

I was actually pleasantly surprised about this movie. I bought it after watching a few minutes of it on HBO. I knew that the 4K version would boast enhanced picture and Dolby Atmos and I was not disappointed.

The movie is good entertainment for the whole family. Watch kids ask "Who is that cool character?" And parents answer "I know". Tons of throwback characters from our childhood. Parents really connect to the characters.

Man what a great film. So many iconic references and the scale of the film is huge. I blind bought this movie because so many have raved about it and I have come to agree with all the hype. It is a must see film.

Ready Player One is a must see film for all those who are into video games. The movie is packed with so many references, both big and small, that you will never be able to catch them all the first time you watch it.

This film is set in a future world where life in the real world has become so dismal that everyone spends as much time as they can in virtual reality. The creator of the virtual world has died and left a challenge for all gamers which offers the prize of ownership and control of this virtual world. Loaded with an incredible number of Easter eggs (you'll see everything from the Iron Giant to the Back to the Future car to the space pods from 2001: A Space Odyssey populating this virtual world) and an insane amount of eye candy, but the characters are right out of a cookie-cutter and the story is pretty much standard fare. I tried to figure out the message of the film and it seems to basically be: Big business bad, little guy good. That's about as deep as this film gets. A great treat for your eyes and your ears with only a passable story. Entertaining once through, but not one of Spielberg's finest cinematic achievements.

I very much enjoy this movie, as well as the book. When it came time to test Dolby Vision and Atmos on my new TV and soundbar, this was the first 4K Blu-ray that came to mind. It did not disappoint!

This movie is one of the greatest releases in recent history. It captures nostalgia from many different decades and not only is it a masterpiece of videography but it has a plot that will capture everyone. Amazing

Amazing visuals and wonderful audio quality. Nice bonus features. A fun ride with tons of pop culture references. Any pop culture fans of sci fi/ fantasy as well as gamers will see a lot of cool references.
