I was very glad I purchased this extra battery - I shot 4,000 pictures with my Rebel within 20 hours while on vacation in Antarctica, and only needed two batteries. the battery recharged quickly using 220v power too!

The only way to guarantee your not purchasing a knock off closely branded battery is to go in a retail store and buy this battery. There are many fake (look-a-like) Canon batteries on the market which you can visit Canon's website to see a chat on how to identify a genuine battery vs. a fake (which could damage your camera). For your DSLR always go straight back to the manufacturer for the longest life, fastest charge, and quality control.

I am very happy with the battery performance of all canon OEM (original batteries) they seem to function correctly with the chip and tell you the amount of power left and the battery health which is great. As professional this battery lasted a few hours in our photobooth running with live mode which is all we can ask for!

I was using my camera for a full day and I only had the battery it came with. So I purchased this extra one and now I have two batteries for the rotation and I don’t have to wait for my battery to charge. Love it!

This battery is just like the original one that came with my camera. I love having an extra battery in my camera bag for those days when you realize that your battery is dead, then realize you were smart enough to carry a spare.

I used this battery as a back up for my camera (Cannon). The before, wedding ceremony, and reception were a total of ten hours. This battery lasted the entire time. Very happy with the performance.

Although there are other lithium batteries that fit my camera, their long term functionality per charge pales in comparison to this OEM product. Be wise and buy this product first.

This battery is great to have on hand as an extra. My original battery doesn't seem to last to long anymore, this one is the exact same and lasts hours.

It was between this or an aftermarket battery. My preference, especially for a new purchase such as a DSLR (Canon T5i) is to purchase the manufacturer's batteries.

I am a Canon fan, so it's not a big surprise for me to write a positive review on some of the many accessories for my Canon T3i. The Canon - LP-E8 Rechargeable Lithium-Ion Battery Pack is a good purchase for the price and it's durability. I now own three, and will probably add another one to my battery mix.

Being able to acquire additional backup batteries at bargain prices assures I will always be prepared.
