This is a well made, high spec and very appealing 2-in-1. It is expensive too, so look for any promotions you can find. I was a little apprehensive because of bad reviews warning about the fan noise, but decided to give it a try anyway - thanks to the ease of return at Best Buy. The moment I powered it on, the continuous fan noise got me! I thought to myself - well, I should have heeded to those reviews, but having some technical background, I decided to try and find a fix. I knew that first thing I should look for, is a BIOS upgrade so that's what I did: FAN NOISE ------------------------------- Upgraded the BIOS to the latest (36? can't recall the version) and that introduced a performance mode called "Quiet" in addition to Balanced and High Performance in BIOS, under Configuration Settings. After installing the BIOS Update, I went into BIOS and set the mode the Quiet - that killed the fan noise to half. But, it DID NOT STOP the fan. It was still ON. Read the next section - that addresses the root of the problem and it's fix :-) CONTINUOUS FAN & HEATING ----------------------------------------------- Even though the Quiet mode reduced the noise, the fan was continuously on. I launched the Task Manager and noticed a weird entry: "TODO: <File Description> (32 bit)" that was using up 32% CPU!!!. Expanding it I found "Qualcomm Atheros WLAN service" under it. I have never seen task with that name (TO DO), but decided to give it time to finish off. Hours later it was still running and using same amount of CPU. THIS was what was causing the laptop to heat up, and since it heats up, the fans turn on - trying to cool it down. Here's the solution to that problem (found it on Lenovo forum): 1. Go to Add/Remove Programs and remove "Qualcomm Atheros WLAN installer." This will roll back the WLAN driver to a previous version. Do #2 to update the driver, without the Qualcomm software. 2. After uninstalling the software, launch Device Manager from the Control Panel, expand the "Network Adapters" entry and right-click "Properties." Select the "Driver" tab. Next to "driver version," Click on "Update driver" and "Let Windows search.." It'll find the correct driver without launching any Qualcomm installers. There seems to be a problem with Qualcomm Atheros installer - it gets stuck and Windows keeps trying to install it. Which is why it is continuously running and consuming so much CPU. This in-turn results in continuous fan, noise and heat. After uninstalling the software and updating the driver without the software, the problem was resolved. You can even go in the BIOS and turn on the "Balanced Mode" instead of the "Quiet" and you still won't hear the fan, unless you are doing something that requires a lot of CPU juice for an extended period of time. I have had this machine for over a week now, and only on a few occasions have I heard the fan turn on, after applying the fixes above. If you are a heavy user (video editing or running complex queries/macros that take up time and resources), you will likely hear the fan more often, but I found the Qualcomm software to be the culprit in my case. I have since decided to keep the laptop.

California is rubbing us right and left. Why would I pay a recycling fee in advance when they don’t even know what I will be doing with the item when I’m done with it. It may be taken to another country so why am I forced to pay in advance? How come I don’t have the option of declining????

Just seeing the recycling fee is frustrating. I wish they would just add that fee into the price and don't let me see that I am paying for it.

This should be broken down to 2 reviews, Best Buy and Acer. Best Buy is a 5 star retailer based on pricing, selection, shipping and Customer Service. Service after the sale is remarkable as long as you follow the guidelines. Acer is a different story. I have a 5 Y/O Acer laptop that's still going strong so when I bought a Chromebook, I bought an Acer. The R 13 is great in many ways but falls short in one important area, access to Google Apps. plus my OS was corrupted. It took Acer almost two weeks to tell me to return the unit to them and they needed about 2 weeks to fix it, not happy. Enter Best Buy, they told me to return it to them and they credited my account. I'm not giving up on Acer so even though the sale on my failed unit is over, B/B honored the sale price on its replacement. I'm a bit nervous about the Acer decision but based on their assurance that the App. problem is being handled I stuck with them but am confident that Best Buy will be my retailer of choice well into the future.

I purchased MacBook Pro 13 inch with touchbar. This product is for the person who wants a MacBook that is good all around. Video editing is handled great (for 1080p) I have not edited 4k. The word pro is used a little losely in this model. I feel the 15 inch MacBook Pro is the true pro model. The pro in this one is meant for different kind of professional as in a college student, or people who work with certain software. The only reason I gave this product a 4/5 is because the battery life is good but can be better. My older MacBook Pro 13 inch early 2015 model had a better battery life. I also recommend getting it the way you want it in specs. It is not upgradable or done easily. This is one of the reasons I sold my older MacBook Pro. Save yourself a costly regret and order it how you’ll be happy with it.

This is a low end tablet that works fairly decent for the price. You get what you pay for, so don't expect it to work like a $200 tablet. For roughly $40 this tablet does a good job. With wi-fi it works well and runs most apps. I actually purchased 2 of these as gifts and was satisfied with how they preformed. It does not take decent pics and has a very low megapixal camera. If all your looking for is to serf the web, download a few apps, and play some games then I would recommend this tablet. If you want good quality pics then skip it unless its for your kid to use as a first camera. It's slim design is great for travel. I would recommend for those on a budget looking to purchase a first tablet or for a tablet their kid can use.

I have been using the iPad mini 4 for almost a month, and I don't have any complain with this excellent product. I bought specially for the college for reading books and pdfs and it can't be happier with it, I find that this is the perfect size for reading. It is so light a so thick that you don't even notice that this guy is in you bag! Here are some pros and cons of the iPad mini 4. Pros: - Great build quality. - Great battery life. - An amazing display. With anti-glare and the best pixel density of all iPads. - The best size for reading books, pdf, etc. - Finger print scanner. - Absurdly light and thick. - IOS 9, the best operating system for a table nowadays. Features like Slide view and picture in picture made this IOS perfect. - Really smooth and powerful. - 2 GB of RAM. - Siri, although it is not as good as Google service, it can be really useful some times. Cons: - Compare with the iPad air 2 it doesn't came with the A8x chip it came with the A8 chip. But the difference is not noticeable at all. - Not the same finger print sensor that it came with the new iPhones. This one is a little slower, but nothing to worry about, it takes less than a second to recognize the finger. Conclusion: A great Apple tablet, the best build quality, with all the specifications for been a good iPad for some years. I find hard to decided which iPad to buy, if the iPad air 2 or the iPad mini 4, they almost have the same specifications, the main difference is the chip (A8x vs A8), and of course the display size. If I have to give you an advice of which one to buy I would said that the only thing that you have to worry about is the screen size, whether you need a large one of a smaller one. The price and the other specifications are almost the same. And if your are worry about which storage you need i would recommend to go for the 64gb version (the one I bought), because 16gb is insanely small (with the IOS i think that you only have 12 or 10 gb left), and the 128gb version is to big (and expensive too). With the 64 gb version you have 55,8 gb of free storage, this is more than enough for most of the people.
