I bought this based on reviews and figured with an i5 chip it would be fast. But... no. It was taking ages to do anything. Phoned Geek squad, and they said it might have been loading updates and that caused it. It was still slow the next day, although finally it would let me type/chat on skype. But to go from one web page to another took about 1:30 mins. Phoned Geek squad, and they would NOT give me any input at all even though the computer was new out of the box the day before. I told them they spoke with me the day before could I speak to Amanda again? The guy said no, said there was a service charge. As this was new, I said this item was headed back to the store. Returned it and told them it is either a very slow computer or something was wrong with it. Either way-- back to searching for a new laptop. Don't know if it is me or if I am having really bad luck with Dell's these days.

Recycling Fee - What can you say you have to pay it when you buy a laptop...

Nobody really likes to pay fees, but... I pay for water bottles, so why not for electronics that have more detailed parts to be dealt with at their "END OF LIFE". I use the ELECTRONIC WASTE sites when they are close to home - after I clean out stuff.

I am glad that Best Buy does their share to recycle.

I paid a fee with the impression that my product would be recycled. I feel like this recycling thing is going to happen! I paid the fee! I must say, of all the recycling fees I've paid in my lifetime, this is also a recycling fee.
