While RDR2 map appears to be large, the game expects the player to keep wondering on the map in looking for story related mini missions.
Some quest can become broken if getting killed while on mission. When the game reloads, the player is at middle of no where.
Having daylight changes can put some quest almost impossible to play if reached at the location at night.

One of the best single player games I've played in a long time, great story and fun gameplay taking place in a large open world. The game has an insane amount of detail put into the world, but this is why I rate it a 4 instead of a 5. There is so much detail a lot isn't really necessary which takes away from the potential to run at 60 FPS, instead we are locked to 30 FPS, even on the xbox one X. No option to reduce quality to run at 60 FPS on xbox one X version.

I've been hearing how beautiful and while made. This game is where you can go to shoot up mode or starry mode. What's most impressive? Is the details of the graphics totally out of this world because you're a marriage bet..

This is arguably the best game ever made. And I'm a little uneasy calling it a game, because I've come to the conclusion that this is more of a simulator. This game goes to extreme lengths to make its time and setting as realistic and as believable as possible with today's tech. Now, it does border the line of frustration due to its efforts to be realistic. For example, your character needs to be fed, he also need to be wearing clothing suitable for the weather at any point in time, he also needs to take a shower, etc. These things also apply to your horse.
If you don't have the patience for a more simulator experience, then this game may not be for you.

This is without a doubt the most beautiful game I have ever played. Great story telling, and classic fun emergent Rockstar action combine for a fun experience. I have to dock a star for the control scheme, which was clunky when Rockstar first implemented it back in the day and hasn't aged well.

Rockstar Games’ Red Dead Redemption 2 isn’t just a game—it’s a sprawling, cinematic experience that redefines what open-world storytelling can be. Set in 1899, it follows Arthur Morgan, a grizzled outlaw navigating the decline of the Wild West and the unraveling of the Van der Linde gang. What unfolds is a tale of loyalty, loss, and the slow erosion of freedom.

This game is definitely slow paced in everything from walking to riding your horse for 10 minutes to the mission location. So if you're looking for high action fun this isn't necessarily it... but it's a very immersive wild west cowboy experience. You can do pretty much anything you want in this game. Go hunting, skin the animal for it's pelt, give the meat to your camp butcher, go play poker in town, rob a train, buy pomade for your hair.

This is an excellent addition to my game collection.
It is one of the best adventure games out there,
and plays well on my Xbox One X console. I suspect
this will become a collector's item in ten years!
It is on sale at an unbelievable price, and will probably
go out of stock in the near future.

I had never played an game by Rockstar before, though I've enjoyed RPGs from all the other big names in the industry. I was shocked by the detail and level of polish this game has to offer.
This game is just below The Witcher 3 in it's ability to tell a compelling story, and I only give The Witcher 3 the nod because of how impactful some of your decisions are in that game.
Where this game beats even The Witcher 3 is in the open world. The open world promise is always that you can spend hours just "living" in the open world and not caring about checking missions and side-quests off your virtual to-do list. RDR2 is the first game that actually accomplished that for me. Truly amazing open world that actually feels alive.
