I was into Warzone and playing online with my friends, I bought this game because I had a Best Buy gift card, for banter purposes. I fired this baby up and I've officially gone full anti-social awkward homeschool kid, though I am in my late 20s. I set my XBOX to show offline so my friends can't annoy me with their silly Warzone or any other battle royale invitations. I ride horses, I rob people's carriages, and I hunt BEARS. This game is awesome. I am working on growing out my mustache, in the game. My wife will not let me grow one in real life, though if [Insert main character of this game's name cause I forgot it] can do whatever he wants WHY CAN'T I?

This game was a birthday gift I bought myself and it’s an awesome gaming experience, especially for older gamers in their 30s who appreciate depth and attention to detail. Set in a richly detailed open world, the story of Arthur Morgan, an outlaw in the declining Wild West era is emotionally engaging, filled with complex characters and moral dilemmas, which resonates well with an older gamer like me.
The game's slow pace and emphasis on realism, from maintaining your camp to caring for your horse, add to its depth, making it more than just an action game. This attention to detail, along with stunning visuals and a vast, explorable world, provides a truly cinematic experience.
The online multiplayer mode, Red Dead Online, offers extended playability, although it may not appeal to everyone. As an older gamer, you might find the single-player story more appealing due to its rich narrative.
All in all, Rockstar knocked it out of the park, "Red Dead Redemption II" is an exceptional game for those who appreciate a deep story, realistic game mechanics, and a beautiful open world to explore. Its slow pace and complexity are well-suited for gamers who enjoy immersive and thoughtful experiences.

Works well with 4k and only a small amount of bugs to work out. I would recommend waiting if you want online only as there is a lot to fix in the beta. But just like GTA they will iron out things for the next few years.

I have steadfastly refused to have games like GTA (Grand Theft Auto) and Call of Duty played under my roof because I have feared in the past that my now 13-year old would become desensitized to the violence found in games rated "M" for mature. No amount of "But Mom, my friends' parents let them play" and "Mom, I play them at my friends' houses anyway" would sway me.
My teen is mature but sensitive, so I've had the additional concern of nightmares, but this seemed old-timey enough with horses that I thought we'd give it a try. He's been quite engaged with the game since he opened it and I'm not seeing any issues, outside of normal teen behavior where he doesn't always think before he does.

My husband loved the first version of this game and I enjoyed the story line as he played. The second game is slightly addictive to say the least. I still love the western theme, but really want my husband back, lol

I don’t even know where to start with this game.
The graphics are amazing even, better than some newer games. The characters draw you in where you experience a true immersive environment. There are main story quests, side missions, stranger missions and the free roaming. I am on my second play through just enjoying everything this game has to offer.
I highly recommend this game. You can play through fast or slow, the choice is yours to determine your path.

Everything you wish every game could be. Incredible detail to everything you see in the game, story telling that beats most real movies. And most important never ending fun game. Worth the long wait!

Bought as a Christmas present for my son. He loves the storyline and the graphics in the game. He loves the game so much that he spends several hours a week playing the game after homework is done

Not sure why it's showing I bought the Xbox version, but I did get the ps4 one and it's great. Very slow pace, but once you find a groove with it, your hooked.

This is definitely one of the best games on consuls. The single player can take weeks or months to finish depending on how many side missions you do. It can take you even more months to fully complete all of the tasks in the game if you are into that. I haven’t even gotten into the online multiplayer yet but it promises to be good also. Of all the games out there this one is definitely worth the money.
Who would’ve thought that the game where you’re a cowboy could be so much more interesting than somebody with superpowers or magic abilities? It really is an amazing game.
If you haven’t already bought it, get it.

I played RDR1 back in 2010, a year after my brothers and I purchased our first PS3. It was such an amazing experience with great attention to detail I waited almost a decade to play RDR2. I can tell you these types of games from companies like Rockstar Games, are the reason I'm still gaming, even thought that means I have to wait years for high quality games. I also appreciate new companies and small games don't get me wrong, but in modern times where big companies only care about making money, rather than creating experiences. This shouldn't be their main focus, at the end of the day, video games are art.

In simple terms this game is ******* brilliant. The atmosphere in every single moment is perfect. Along with the soundtracks and other background noises like bird song or the whistles of policeman, or the rivers. Rockstar has got this game spot on with this. Nature feels real
