Fully-encompassed 1890s-outlaw living. Gameplay is very similar to GTA-V (Rockstar games obvi) but much less explosions and rioting and a lot more real-world experiences. From hunting hundreds upon hundreds of different birds, mammals, and fish to cook/sell, to finding all the different side stories and characters, treasure hunting to looting (with real in-game consequences unlike GTA), to just riding a horse through the game and exploring the magnificently-designed map and sights- this game is gigantic and a TON of fun to play and follow along. For pete's sake you can fish with different lures and bait depending on where you are- rivers, lakes, or swamps. The map has everything- Alaskan mountains, Louisiana swamps, Nebraska plains, Arizona deserts, and EVERYTHING in-between. If Skyrim and GTAV had a baby, this game would be it.

We’ve waited nearly a decade for this, and it was worth every second. Simply put, this is one of the greatest games of all time and should be played by anyone who loves gaming, even if third person Adventure’s aren’t your thing. With an open world and sandbox that is yours to do what you want in, the possibilities are endless. And Xbox zone X is the only way to get it in native 4K. I normally do my gaming on PS Pro, but switched over to the X just for this, and it’s worth it.

This is the best game ever made and not sure how close it is.

I purchased this game yesterday, and it is with out a doubt the best game that I have played this year. The story starts off a tad slow, however, it keeps you completely emerged throughout the entire time. Patiently waiting for multiplayer!

I'm about 12 hours in to this game and I'm not hooked. Which blows my mind because this is my kind of game. I absolutely loved the first. This one has a much slower pace, and the life, dead eye, and stamina system is the worst of any game I've ever played. They really need to do something about that in an update. I recommend it of course, but have something else to do when you get bored for the day, which is crazy to say about this game.

An excellent game that Rockstar Games has ever made

So I ended up purchasing this for my husband and he loves loves it! We both played the 1st one and thoroughly enjoyed it! So to say the least we were pretty excited for this new one. Definitely worth the money and so much fun!

I the a 75" Samsung QLED TV and this game is amazing on it. I also have a smaller 55" in my room which my older non 4k xbox is hooked up to. This game is awesome on both of them. So much depth, so much to do. Bravo rockstar!

The first chapter of rdr 2 is tediously slow,then it picks up the pace and becomes really enjoyable,If you like exploring,I’m not into the robbing and gunfights but the hunting is fun,this isn’t a game for a young child tho

I got into RD 1 several years after it came out and found out how much fun I was missing. Red Dead 2 has continued on with he fun. It's tough to beat the Wild West and it's a welcome change in settings from most other games.

I got this game for my husband and we have both enjoyed playing it. Really immersive experience and lots of fun. Definitely make sure you have some spare time if you want to play this game because it is lengthy and deep.

This game is fantastic!! Visually stunning. Great story. I love everything about this game, the only thing I wish is it had an instant fast travel to anywhere on the map. A little into the game you can semi fast travel to locations. This one small complaint aside this is a must play in my opinion. FYI I’ve seen some people complain they didn’t play past the “snow level”. This is still in the introductory of the game. I admit this part was a little tedious even though I enjoyed it, but get into the open world and give it a chance. If it’s not for you fine but give it a chance. I love riding around on my horse shooting bandits, robbing trains and coming across memorable encounters. (Game looks fantastic one the Xbox One X in 4K!)

excellent story mode and great graphics too. kept me engaged the entire time which is not easy to do!

Absolutely love this game. We've spent hours playing! It has minor graphic content so i wouldn't let younger children play.

Very easy to get lost in the game. Easily able to stop the game when I get interrupted without sacrificing the game or missions. Able to save the game at anytime so I can restart if I was unsuccessful at a mission.
