A realistic cold war era spycraft film that gives a glimpse of the possible scenarios that really went down on the ground during this end period of the bankrupt in everyway soviet system. Somewhat graphic in its realism. Be ready to close your eyes (or do some serious wincing) during some scenes. Jennifer Lawrence is awesome in her portrait of a forced and crossed female heroine, That keeps her cool and gets more than just her job done in the end. I highly recommend this film (for all adults with a strong back bone and stomach! ;)

A great spy movie with plenty of twists! Starts off very unassuming, then becomes very riveting and very clever! Jennifer Lawrence literally has to be on the very tip of her toes throughout the entire movie! And she ends on a very low but high note! Her character has to outwit everybody around her in order for her to come out on top!

Red Sparrow is a great action film and depicts possible modern day spies in Russia and around the World.

This is a movie for the late weekend, something to watch on a nice Sunday. It’s a good and enjoyable film but requires patience, thus watch it on a Sunday this movie runs a bit a long for a spy movie at 2 hours and a half. Best Buy steelbook art is a must have very elegant with deep black color. Video is amazing at native 4k, including sound A+++. The ending was smart, movie was great! And it’s J-Law!

Estrogen-packed killer spy movie for all audiences! Great movie for couples because males will find the movie's action on-par with today's great movies; and females will be in complete awe as well feeling proud to be a associated with the main character. Storyline was easy to follow and the movie will hold your attention from beginning-to-end. Highly recommend!

Horrible movie.... Too much unnecessary sex and violence. Bought the movie, my daughter and I watched it, both hated it. Lent it to my neighbor and she and her husband hated it.

As a parent the nudity would make the teens uncomfortable if I were in the room. They call this spicy and I am catching on. I start the review with this because it is a defining point. This is very well done film. Many of my reviews focus on price, gifting etc. I recognized the actress from several other movies Ive purchased and couldnt wait to see her new movie. The story could have been better, the directing could have been better, however she was splendid. If youve ever seen Once Upon A Time in the West Charles Bronson plays a harmonica. This will stick with you forever. So here in Red Sparrow you have woman power in an era of spy vs spy, csi, 24 etc etc and it will stick with you. Enjoy.

Red Sparrow is stylistic and smoldering spy thriller starring Jennifer Lawrence and Joel Edgerton. It shares a lot of elements with Marvel's Black Widow, with the indoctrination and training regimen being similar to Natasha Romanoff's backstory. That is where the similarities end, as we don't really get to see the missions Black Widow may have taken on in the 20+ films in the MCU. Red Sparrow ups the ante in terms of violence, espionage and sex appeal, with several sequences that may not be for the faint of heart. Solid performances from Lawrence and Edgerton, with great cinematography and set pieces.

Having lived thru the Cold War, this is a good story of a Russian woman’s fall from grace and into the world of a Russian spy. Jennifer Lawrence plays a ballerina who finds herself having to work as a spy to support herself and her mother. She evolves from a young, innocent dancer to a hard core spy. This movie is quite brutal and some scenes are not for the week at heart. A good movie for adults but should not be viewed by children. It will entertain you thru to the twist at the end which you will never see coming.

The spy thriller does make efforts to distance itself from its counterparts, but is still a painfully slow-burner, and seldom earns the right to be so. Ultimately it lives and dies on an all-star cast, some unexpected brutality, and a few twists and turns that you might not see coming. The Red Sparrow 4K Ultra HD Blu-ray release is almost universally excellent, with superb video and audio and a healthy selection of extra features, leaving it a great package for fans to pick up.

As a lover of spy and espionage movies, Red Sparrow is......okay. It’s doesnr do anything new or exciting. It’s well filmed and presents a cool idea, but meanders through. I hadn’t heard the best of things on this film before buying it, but was able to grab it for a great bargain, so figured it wouldn’t hurt to give it a shot. Comes with a decent amount of special features and a free digital copy.

If you're looking for ridiculous stunts, tons of car chases and explosions, and unrealistic situations - this is NOT your movie! More of an old fashioned, intelligent spy thriller that relies on plot and character development rather than CGI action and stunts. Might seem "slow" to people expecting a Bourne or James Bond type of film. This is the opposite of John Wick. :)

Unfortunately, most of reviews I have seen about this movie talked about Jennifer Lawrence's R-rated acting. But it was wrong. It should have talked about something like spy or thriller movie. Not perfectly twisted or plotted, but I was so absorbed during the whole running time. I can tell it is good enough movie for Friday night.

I'm not sure where all of the negative reviews come from, but this is a pretty good film that keeps you guessing until the very end. It's slow in regards to action though the story itself moves along at a pace that's a welcoming change of pace from most action movies in the same vein.

The movie itself is good plot with good action. The 4k transfer is very good and so is the sound.,

This movie is great, has amazing FUNNY lines, fast action, really sets a nice pace. The sound is great, can't say enough good things about the sound, it has what you expect for the money you spend on a disk of this magnitude, the money they spent was well placed. You get high quality content. The CGI is so realistic you forget its CGI and just fall into the story and lose yourself in the emotion and staging of the drama and action.

I really enjoyed this film action pack scenes it really left me on the edge of my seat I highly recommend anyone to go pick up this film!! The training was intense and it was some jar dropping scenes in this film!! Again high octane good film a must go see!!

Overall this movie was pretty good, one of the better movies from Jennifer Lawerence. While not a lot of heavy action in this flick the story is well done. My only complaint with the movie was that it was on the long side and it seemed to take forever to get to the end.
