Purchased for my son who has all the CD’s. The Best Buy price was comparable to what I could get it for at other places, but the service at the Best Buy store that we go to is outstanding.

This album was really good, even though it took a 4 year span from encore, this was not a disappointment. He is back to the dark stuff like murder, drugs, and all that. It is a must have for eminem fans. Best songs: we made you, beautiful, 3.am, same song and dance, crack a bottle Worst songs: medacine ball

good music but did not care for the lyrics. It is about his personal struggles with drugs and abuse

This is one of my favorite CDs! I know that many people were disappointed but not me. I love most of the songs on this CD and I still listen to it regularly.

I think about 90% of his songs are great. He has many cds. They get less intense as the years go on which I think is a good thing.

Great CD! The lyrical content was intense, as usual. What else can you expect from the lyrical genius? Eminem finds new ways to reinvent himself time and time again, and is a master of his craft. The only drawback from the CD is the reiteration of beats or “how it sounds,” of some of the tracks. "Beautiful"-track 17, sounds like mockingbird a bit. But Eminem is the last of a dying breed; Artists who have shaped the game as much as he has with lyrics and the purest form of the art as oppose to catchy beats and corny dances. His delivery on every track seems different from the last one in sequence and is invariably different from his last cd all together. I would certainly recommend purchasing this cd as it is the best bang for your buck this year. @ 9.99, this cd is a steal. Amongst the most considerable reasons to purchase the cd, is his in-depth look at his addiction and his rehab, hence the title “Relapse.” Most people were not aware of this and Eminem discusses this intricate part of his life. He still maintains some of the Hollywood bashing from his past cds which I feel is quite appropriate most of the time. He is keeping the game in check. Perhaps he will be able to revive hip hop from its proverbial synthesized and bubble gum slumber.

    Another great album

Eminem's first album in four years proved that the 90's most controvercial rapper doesn't need to brush up ono is skills. The album is very dark and rather than hating on the world Em discusses his ownfaults and blames himself (and partially his mom) for his problems. Em's blend of humor and seriousness makes for a very entertaining album. The best tracks are the ones where he takes himself seriously, though(My Mom, Deja Vu, beautiful). Others where he disses on celebs (Tonya, We Made You) are forgettable. There are also some very disturbing tracks (3am, Insane) where he talks about serial murder and molestation. These are kin of hard to listen to but catchy nontheless.

There is some bashing going on out there...but let's face it, it wouldn't an Eminem CD without controversy. The songs are right on with the theme of the album. He put some pop songs, but they are still catchy. This CD is alot better than Encore. Not his strongest effort, but it's well worth the money if you're an Eminem fan. Personal favorites are 3 AM, Beautiful, My Mom, Underground, Old Time Sakes, Bagpipes from Baghdad. The Dr Dre produced beats are sick. The intro is amazing, it got my attention for sure.

Good CD but Eminem is a little twisted

The CD basically falls right in line with all his previous CDs only now that he has proven to be a good artist he seems to be continuously pushing the limits. I personally enjoy the CD, but others who have heard it thought it was quite messed up as far as lyrics go. I will still say that Eminem is a lyrical genius. I wouldn't recommend this to anyone unless they have listened, and liked, eminem before.

    Good Thing He's Back.

He is one on the best lyricists of all time... period. He'll probably come out with a few singles that make no sense and talk about the common things rappers these days talk about, such as, drugs, girls, and cars just to sell a couple million copies. But then when people buy the CD, they will see how good of a role model he is, because the rest of the CD will have real issues, real stories and things that reign true to any teenagers life. I know it's weird to see emeniem as a role model; however, everyone forgets what he has overcome to live his dream. That is what the students I teach need; someone who is going to come out with Rap music that talks about something other than drugs, disrespecting females, money and trying to get rich or die trying. We need him back so he can talk to the youth about, love, struggles, peer pressure, temptation, and the dangers of not getting off the streets. It's been a long time coming, and I am glad to see him back.

    Breath taking

The beauty of Relapse is the fusion of Eminem’s styles from his four previous albums. The evolved wordplay and borderline horrorcore imagery of the Slim Shady LP, the pop-star-bashing and pill-popping banter of the Marshall Mathers LP, the soul-bearing honesty and precise flow found on The Eminem Show, and the playful accents Em dabbled in on Encore are all encompassed. With Relapse, Eminem has reminded listeners what captivated them about him 10 years ago and what held their attention for the subsequent six years. The vibe is fresh yet nostalgic—the ideal arrangement for a successful comeback. Em's new album is a potent product, its time we all relapse.

    Shady 2.0

Five years after Encore, Four years after Curtain Call and Three Years after The Re-Up, Eminem is finally back on track from The Eminem Show. Relapse is funny at best, scattershot at worst but you will enjoy Relapse. To them guys who said ICP is better, they are complete clowns. Lil Wayne can rap better than them. ICPs Career ended with the Ken Kaniff skit off of the Marshall Mathers LP.

As a big fan of Eminem, I feel the Marshall mathers LP is a top 3 rap/hip hop album of all time, I am very excited to see if he still has the mad skills that made him who he is today. I hope he goes a little more old school with the raps and a little less of the "comedy" style rap that he had in the last solo album he released. Very excited to see what he has to offer.
