A Worthy Upgrade: reMarkable Pro Delivers Seamless

I’ve been using the reMarkable Paper Tablet Pro for a few weeks now, and I’m thoroughly impressed. The ease of use is outstanding—it feels incredibly intuitive right out of the box. Writing on it feels natural, almost like pen on paper, but with all the benefits of digital organization. The clarity of the text is excellent, both while writing and when reviewing notes later. Everything looks crisp and readable, whether I’m jotting down ideas, taking meeting notes, or marking up PDFs.
I upgraded from the reMarkable 2, and I love this model even more. The addition of color and the ability to highlight in different shades has made a huge difference in how I organize and visually separate my notes. It’s a small change that makes a big impact. Plus, one of the best features is how it keeps all my notes in one place. No more scattered notebooks or loose papers—I can easily organize everything into folders and access them anytime. The syncing functionality has been seamless; my notes sync automatically to both the desktop app and my iPhone app without any hassle. It’s been a game-changer for staying organized across all my devices. Highly recommend this for anyone who wants the simplicity of writing by hand with the power of digital storage and accessibility!

Before switching to a reMarkable tablet, I was using the 2022 iPad Pro, which I genuinely enjoyed. However, I often found myself getting distracted by apps and notifications. After seeing a close friend use a reMarkable, I decided to make the switch—and I absolutely do not regret it.
The battery life is incredible, easily lasting an entire week on a single charge. The paper-like screen feel is truly unique and far superior to the paper-like screen protector I had on my iPad. The reMarkable delivers that tactile, focused writing experience right out of the box with no need for add-ons.
The reMarkable app is another highlight—it’s intuitive, well-designed, and clearly developed with care. You can tell the creators really understand what users are looking for in a distraction-free productivity device.
If you’re considering making the switch and don’t have any major limitations holding you back, I highly recommend it. It’s been a game-changer for my focus and workflow

I received it as a birthday + anniversary gift from my wife. It's a well designed product where it allows you focus on reading PDF/EPUB documents as well as taking notes. While note-taking is the focus, document/ebook reading is also comfortable. I didn't get the keyboard folio, but I think it's worth it. Google Drive integration is perfect. Handwriting to text conversion is quite accurate.
The only complaint I have is related to wifi (only to sync and handwriting to text conversion). Keeping Wifi On, drains the battery. Also, your WiFi should work with SSID + passkey method, logins thru web portals don't work. You need a hack for it.

However after giving it a chance I became enamoured with the idea of noooooo distractions while using this product. I use this everday for, notetaking, meeting briefs, calendar, planning, to dos, maintaining eating habits, exercising, etc. I would recommend purchasing this item especially if you do not wish to be disturbed while working or in mid-thought, easy grab to jot down something in a hurry or if you're like me, wake up in the middle of the night with a thought that you don't want to forget. The dim light is an excellect feature, as not to harm the eyes or disturb the person next to you. Did I mention you can link it to your other devices and sync all the aforementioned? It's a win win for sure.

I have been using notepads and pens for so long, I tried using an ipad with the apple pencil, but just didnt like they way it wrote. Once I heard about reMarkable, I said, whoa thats a little pricy. After having the tablet for 3 months now, I will never go back to a notepad or any tablet. It feels like your writing on paper and the templates that are integrated make organzing your files super easy. I have recommended this product to everyone I come in contact with. Highly recommend, worth every penny spent! If you havent had the chance to experience what reMarkable has to off you need to check it out.

The reMarkable Paper Tablet has completely transformed the way I work! I use it every day for note-taking, brainstorming, and organizing tasks—it’s a true game changer. The feel is just like writing with a pencil and paper or pen and paper, but without any of the waste. No more stacks of paper cluttering my workspace! The interface is super easy to navigate, and I love how it contributes to my effort to go green by reducing paper use. If you’re looking for a sustainable, efficient tool for work or personal use, I highly recommend this!

This is definitely an upgrade from the Remarkable 2 in some respects. I love the larger screen and the surface texture. It has more grit and is easier for me write on without making so many errors (I write rapidly in half-script/half-print). But I am SO bummed about the colors. That was my main reason for ordering the paper pro. I was so excited to have color, but it looks nothing like the advertised photo. I’m attaching my own pic so people can see what it really looks like. I hope that Remarkable comes up with some kind of software update to intensify the colors because it’s such a letdown!

Great Device — Until It Suddenly Fails

I bought my reMarkable Pro tablet in May 2025 and absolutely loved the experience — the design, writing feel, and overall interface are top-notch. I kept it safely in the original leather Book Folio, and it always stayed inside a padded bag when not in use.
However, in November 2025, just six months later, the screen suddenly went garbled when I took it out to use — no drops, no pressure, no misuse. It simply stopped working.
When I contacted reMarkable support, they refused to repair it, claiming it was accidental damage, even though it clearly wasn’t. Their “solution” was to sell me a refurbished unit at a discounted price tag, which, ironically, seems to come from other customers who faced similar failures and returned their devices.
It’s an amazing product while it works, but it appears to be very fragile and unsupported once things go wrong. If you’re considering buying one, please be aware — you’re paying for a premium experience that may not last.

**Review of the reMarkable Pro Tablet**
As someone who loves the feel of writing on paper, the reMarkable Pro has been an absolute game-changer. The writing experience is incredibly close to pen and paper—it’s smooth, natural, and even makes that satisfying scratch sound. But what I love even more is how my notes and lists are instantly organized in digital format. I can label everything clearly and access it anytime without flipping through countless notepads.
One of the biggest advantages for me is the lack of distractions. No notifications, no apps pulling me away—just a focused space to think, write, and plan. It feels like a creative sanctuary in a world of constant noise. If you're looking for something that combines the simplicity of analog with the convenience of digital, this is it.

Review: User of Remarkable 2 upgrades to the Pro

I am coming to the Pro after having the Remarkable 2 for over a year. I would probably rate the Pro 5 stars if this was my first Remarkable tablet. Not to say the 2 is better but it is to say that for all the improvements with the Pro there are some downgrades that come along with it too. Compared to the Remarkabke 2, here are the improvements that matter to me:
- Larger screen, now much closer to the size of a regular notebook. This seems to be the least talked about upgrade but at the end of the day it is thw one deciding factor that I dont just g9t back to my Remarkable 2. I can fit so much morw notes on one page than I coupd before and dont have to keep scrolling down to add morw notes to the same page lile I had to with the R2.
- Color: I highlight allot and sometimes write in other colors to make my notes easier to come back to. The color helps for this.
- backlight: I am neutral on this, not often I writing notes in a pitch black room and that is nearly all this dim light is good for. This seeka to be the main reason so mamy people like the Pro over the R2 but I feel it is overrated.
- New premium pen. Definite improvement over R2. More precise and tip is much more durable. Feels a little better too (but not night and day as some reviews would lead you to believe)
Disadvantages over R2:
- Premiumeather folio: still way overpriced just like on R2 but now it at least filds all the way back on itself so it can lay flat with the cover on it and it includes a pen holder. It is better now and even though the price is crazy, I really like it and would not buy an Remarkable without it.
- the screen is a darker dimmer material then the R2. The R2 screen is closer to a paper white and is allot easier to see in a dimly lit room. The contrast is greater and in general is more pleasing to the eye. The Pro compensates with the addition if a light but the light does very little in a dimly lit room and only really helps in darkness. Also it is easy to foget thw light is on because in most lighting conditions you cant even tell its on, and if you leave it on all the time it will drain the battery much quicker.
- Thw color does not look nearly as vibrant as it does on their website. I always liked the natural look and feel of Remarkable but color pencils in real life have much more contrast to the equivelant in the Pro. Still it is better to have the colot the not too.
- Weight: this is very noticeably heavier then the R2. To some degree I expected this because it is larger but the reault is a tablet that looses much of the sleek ultra thin and light feeling of the R2. This bothers me way more then I anticipated it would.
Conclusion; my review may come across as critical and even negative but the truth is I love my Remarkable! I am a big note taker and can not imagine my life without it. Its just that the R2 set the bar really high and I expected the Pro to raise the bar even higher. In the end of the day I feel like to disadvantages of the Pro almost just balance out with its advantages to the point where the bar has not really been raised. Litteraly the inly reason I am not returning the Pro and just sticking with the R2 is the bigger screen is a game changer for me and was litterally the knly ugrade I really wanted when using the R2. Overall if you are a big note taker then I could not recommend a Remarkable more. Hopefully the above will help you decide whether the R2 or the Pro is best for you!

I am a longtime Apple user but I struggled to use my iPad Pro as a note-taking device. I decided to give the Remarkable Paper Pro a try and I have been very pleased with the results. The writing experience is excellent and the minimalist design (i.e., no distractions from notifications/alerts) helps me to stay focused. The only suggestion I have for the manufacturer is to increase the maximum brightness of the device. I will often plan my next day while I’m getting ready to sleep, and I’m finding myself going to the brightness setting only to find that it is already at the top of the slider. I am still learning how to use this device to be efficient in my workflow but I am extremely pleased and I recommend this for anyone interested in deep work.

What this does it does well! The notetaking ability is top notch, the tablet is very responsive, and the battery life is excellent.
The one drawback is the limits on WiFi. The advanced features require Wifi connectivity, and the device can only connect using straight WiFi connections. For example, it can't connect to a hotel WiFi that has a separate sign on page - and it also struggles with cell hotspots that have secondary authentication.
So if you're looking for a writing tablet that you take notes, this is IT! If you're looking for something that has advanced functions and can sync to your ReMarkable cloud account from anywhere - wait for the next generation

I have a myriad of tech devices, but I have found that my ReMarkable fills a real need. I am able to keep great notes for each of my clients/accounts and keep them organized. Since I can sync files, I am actually able to keep more info at my fingertips. No apps to open, no wifi needed in my meetings because I can sync later.
If you work with multiple clients or accounts and need to be better organized with your notes, thoughts, To-Do's, etc. Give this device a try.

Works well and does many thing. The note-taking-to-an e-document was clearly the appeal. And, it does that pretty well. The menu is pretty self-explanatory and the touch interface is smooth and comfortable. Battery life is impressive. It is super-thin and light. On the other hand, my color screen isn't very vibrant, the smoothness of scrolling is jerky at times, and it is quite a bit limited as compared to an iPad. The iPad, of course, is horrible as a tactile interface for writing notes, though.

I write to brainstorm, take notes, journal quite a bit and decided to buy this when I decided to transition to all-electronic writing. It does the job well. I'm perfectly happy with the battery life, how close to paper it feels. Some minor lags and glitches occasionally but hopefully they get resolved with later updates.
