The riskiest purchase I made this year...

but I am not disappointed in my purchase. I really enjoyed this game and the new IP from Capcom so late in the life a system is something that should be applauded. I knew I wanted Remember Me when I saw it announced. I know many have bashed this game for numerous problems, but I will say my own opinion is that it's a good game for people looking for something different, even if it is only a small part of the game. A quick breakdown: Gameplay: 9/10, introduces so many possibilities but doesn't quite capitalize on them. The games concept of memory manipulation is an awesome idea but unfortunately doesn't get utilized enough I feel. I won't go into too much detail for spoiler purposes but the sections that do use memory manipulation are incredibly fun. Combat and general gameplay can be hit and miss. The introduction of self made combos is a nice idea but the actual combos can be a bit tricky to pull off. Graphics: 9/10, beautiful with a lot more potential. Nothing is wrong with characters or the environment but it's the LACK of environment that you are able to explore is the problem. Neo-Paris looks so beautiful yet the game forces you so much on a linear path that you feel the world around you is wasted. I eagerly wanted to walk around the world and talk to the people so much more than what the game allowed. Sound: 7.5/10, definitely the weakest link. While Nilin herself does fine with the voice acting it's the others around her that can bring a cringe every so often. Some characters bring bland dialog, especially Edge I found to be quite a bit more annoying then anyone else, maybe because you talk to him all the time. Again, the name of the game here is potential. This game has...or had, since it's already released, so much potential to be a great game. The gameplay mechanics could have made this game incredible and the world of Neo-Paris would have made it a memorable blockbuster. But unfortunately things weren't quite flushed out and I'm sure people will look back at Remember Me as a missed opportunity which is really a shame. I enjoy playing the game and would recommend it to someone looking for something new.

Great game for the price I paid. Had really nice visuals and the memory puzzles are really fun. Combat can be a bit unimpressive, and the gameplay is a bit linear. An open world system would have really nailed this game.

On its surface this is a pretty basic beat'em up. The customizable combo system works well. The collectibles are cool. The unique part of this game is the ability to enter memories and change them. Unfortunately, you are only allowed to do this about four times in the game.

Pretty fun, combat and skill leveling was a little different but similar to arkham city, with the story presentation kinda a mix of arkham city, uncharted, and tomb raider. The memory remix sequences were awesome (well, the first 3 anyway, the fourth was kinda only half, or rather a remix of a remix lol). Still pretty fun, got some mild puzzle sequences, don't recall any QTEs, so if any they were few and far between (unless you count button presses to continue your combos QTEs). Got this for $20, and I felt satisfied. Sometimes there were audio glitches, particularly during cutscenes, when the volume gets lower or echo-ey or double-tracked, but it wasn't too much of downer. Not the best game ever, but certainly enjoyable.

A good effort from a realitivelly new studio and published from Capcom. Similar to the Arkham games though not as good. Still a fun brawler

The only part I was not good was actually with Bestbuy gamer's club deal. I preordered this game and later on found out that this title won't give be the preorder bonus points which was quite disappointing. Beside of that, the game was good and make me concentrate all the time.

Not a lot of people purchased this forgetfully named capcom game. This game got great ratings, and held online in high regards as a hidden gem. Don't miss out on this great game while the price is amazing.

The concept for this game is really good, I was intrigued when I was reading the premise and that's why I bought the game. However, I was pretty disappointed after I started playing. I have to confess that I didn't get very far because I just lost interest in the game and quit playing. A large portion of my time was spent in combat, which was very restricted since you have to use specific combos that you need to build up in the Combo Lab. Most of the remainder was spent running and climbing, which could be fun, only there is a specific route that is mapped out for you by bright orange arrows that you have to follow. Even if you wanted to deviate from the designated path, the world ins't really crafted to be explored, It's mostly a non-interactive facade. It feels very primitive, I would expect more from games nowadays.

All in All it's a pretty good from beginning to end, the only downside is that the game wasn't long enough in my opinion, but it might be for the next person.
