The Geek squad has always done a great job, they have little staff turnover and I get someone who is very experienced. In this case, they could only do what the remote was capable of, but it was better than before they got here.

This programmer consolidates the majority of remotes associated with the home theater, surround sound, cable and gaming experience. It is also compatible with some thermostats to assist you with your heating/cooling experience. Can be somewhat sensitive to the touch.

This truly is the answer to ONE remote that does everything! I can finally turn on/off all components, turn the volume up and down and manage my DVR all with one remote. And when I mess things up, as I often do, it just walks me through fixing it. The best thing ever!

I don't know a lot about computers, so I was very relieved when the Geek Squad guys suggested getting this remote and then did all the work of setting it up. They were able to figure out ways to combine several steps into one so, for example, the TV, cable box and sound came on with the touch of one button! It still seems like a bit of a miracle after having to juggle several different remotes that controlled each device before. Plus, they were able to figure out how to add other things to the controller that didn't fall into the Watch TV, Watch a Movie or Listen to Music categories. I got the feeling that they enjoyed the challenge of putting the various steps together without leaving a piece of electronics behind! When they finished, they patiently showed me how to use my new remote and waited until they saw that I understood how to turn on each combination of components, which took quite a while. The installers were professional and knew what they were doing. With all the new technology it’s like you need to be an engineer to make sure you get the most for your investment. It was the best money ever spent.

I purchased the Logitech Harmony Remote and had the Geek squad come and program it. It’s been great! We don’t need several remotes to operate the TV, DVD and cable box. We can do everything with the ease of one controller.
