If you’re looking for a wireless outdoor security camera, I’m not sure what more you could want than this Reolink Argus Series B440. At its core is a GREAT camera - 4K resolution with clear video / photos (so you can really see what you’re looking at which is important for security footage) in multiple different conditions.
Beyond that great camera, you get a solid pan (355 degrees) and tilt (140 degrees) which lets your see pretty much everywhere. You get two different ways to see after dark - you get the normal IR night vision (which is black and white but works very well) or you can turn on two bright spotlights to see in full color. The camera gets a strong wireless internet signal and was easy to set up as well - you also get a solar panel that can be mounted on top of the camera or in another nearby location (if the camera doesn’t get direct sunlight where you want to mount the camera) and keeps the camera going / batteries topped off. Of course you also get a good way to mount the whole thing.
The app gives some nice features and allows for moving the camera (including setting “memory” points to quickly jump to certain view) and setting / setting off the warning siren - you can also use the functionality to speak to someone through the camera.
So if you could use a bit of additional security and/or a better way to keep track of things this is a great option. Give it a try today!

I received this camera for review, and it included the solar panel option. When I received the package, I was impressed by the heft of the package, and when unpacked I found the heft is the camera itself. It feels very well made. I assembled the camera and solar panel and then charged it fully before I installed it outside my home. I configured it on my WiFi network and was pleased to find it supported both 2.4 and 5GHz bands.
I installed the camera facing my RV parking spot, This location only received direct sunlight in the morning. The camera package incudes a long extension power cord so I could place the panel in a better location, but because the front of the house is all brick there's no way to mount it there. So far after 24 hours it still shows a full charge, It was simple to assemble and install.
The image quality is fantastic. Very high definition. I looked last night and the nighttime image is quite good as well. Overall it's very impressive.
I'm not as impressed with the app. While it has great functionality, the different icons are not well labeled, and the instructions that came with the camera did not discuss using that app at all. I finally discovered how to control and move the camera remotely just playing around with the app. Some sort of documentation would be very helpful.

I think this is a very good security camera for my home and I am sure may apply to your situation as well. A lot of times, when I research new security cameras, I come across well established brands, however when I learn more about its products, I realize that I will end up spending more money on subscriptions long term. Not in this case, Reolink Argus Series B440 4K 8MP Solar Home Security camera is pretty versatile, comes with a local storage (a huge plus for me) and boasts well built design and good video quality. Here are a few specs you may want to consider:
This all-in-one camera offers comprehensive wireless coverage for homeowners. Key features include 3840×2160 4K video, a wide 355 degrees pan with 140 degress tilt field of view, and dual-band Wi-Fi connectivity, eliminating the need to run cables. It also conveniently bundles a solar panel and a 64GB microSD card. Now having a solar panel was another win for me, the reason why is I had to mount this camera high above our garage door and the thought of running cables to it would not have sold this camera for me. As long as your camera location gets enough of sunlight during the day, you are going to be set and not worry about the battery life. According to the manufacturer all you need is a good 10 minutes of good direct sunlight.
Night vision matters to me as well, and this security camera delivers. Night vision capabilities include both: color night vision and traditional IR black-and-white night vision.
The effective night vision range varies from up to 33 ft (using IR LEDs) to 100 ft, depending on the operating mode. So when you install and set it up, please make sure it is going to cover the area you are mostly interested in monitoring when needed especially at night time.
One thing I may have to watch over the years is the moving camera mechanisms. This pan-tilt model introduces moving parts, which means they are slightly more susceptible to wear than fixed models. However, this camera seems to be well built and the manufacturer is generous with its warranty time frame (2 years) plus if you register this camera online, you will get an additional 6 months. So that tells me I am in good hands in case something happens.
I am very pleased with this camera, from an easy install to its operation. It is definitely worth your dollars as the price tag is extremely affordable and won't end up continuously spending money on a monthly subscription.

Great product - local storage option

I had to replace my last outdoor camera (a Nest video camera) as a bird pecked away at the area around the lens. I replaced it with the Reolink - Argus Series B440 4K camera and I'm very happy with the results so far.
Cloud storage was becoming expensive via Nest/Google so I was happy to try another option. The fact that the Reolink has an option for local storage via a 64GB memory card is fantastic. There is also a cloud storage option of you prefer.
The setup was easy and I loved the multiple mounting options. I opted for the under mount option and I'm getting perfect, clear 1080 video coming from the camera. The unit comes with a solar panel but I was able to connect my other solar panel so I'll keep the one that came with the Reolink for future use.
The Reolink app took a bit of time to get up and running (10 minutes). I had to try rebooting it a couple of times - but eventually I got it going. The app navigation is intuitive and I was able to get it connected to the camera with ease once I was able to get into the app.
I live in Arizona so I will get plenty of solar energy. Time will tell how the camera operation will hold up to 115 degree heat this summer, but so far, so good with the Reolink.

The Reolink Argus Series B440 has no monthly fees, unless you want to purchase online storage. The unit records on a provided Micro SD card. It comes with a 64gb card, I updated it a128gb. Scanning the QR code on the camera starts the setup and installation process. Following along with the prompt’s setup was a breeze. The camera comes with everything you need to mount it wherever you want. The power cable from the solar panel locks securely into the camera and seals to keep weather out. The SD card also locks securely with a rubber seal.
What I like about this camera:
Solar powered
Useful application
Image quality both day and night
Free features other charge for
Siren and spotlights
Micro SD card storage
Video can be downloaded to phone
You can purchase online storage
The wi-fi has both 2.4 and 5 GHz
Complete adjustability of the camera
What I dislike about this camera:
Record speed is slow and makes playback jumpy
Passive infrared sensor (PIR) is limited to 10 meters (33 feet), The camera is mounted 3 meters (10 feet) above the ground.
