First: this is not a movie for anyone who is squeamish. That being said, I love everything about this movie. It has an incredible cast and crew. It is a dark movie, but being a musical lightens it just enough to still be something you can watch over and over.

Great cast, story and music! Paris Hilton sings! Well! Anthony Head--whose name you may not recognize, but who is a classic English actor--has a lead. Historically he's got a great coffee advert, but you'll also recognize him for many shows, especially if you catch some English TV. Classic cult movie, missed by most because of the crazy Hollywood nonsense. No budget for promotions, yet they still have a huge following! On top of the lack of a promotional budget, I heard that Forrest Whitaker wanted to make the movie, but not as a musical. The folks who'd first run the story & music as a play in LA then NY, insisted on the music, so he just stole the idea and made a movie with Jude Law. How is that possible! That made me like Forrest Whitaker much less. When you realize there's a bankruptcy attorney on the list of writers, you can see a hint of where the theme comes from.

You either love or hate this movie. I love it! It isn’t a musical, it’s an opera. The difference is musicals have talking scenes where operas have very little talking between the singing. I think the writer is brilliant. The movie is fun, the songs are catchy and funny. Not as good as Rocky Horror, but definitely it’s twisted inbread cousin! It’s twisted, funny, a bit gory, and a fantastic trip down the rabbit hole! I wouldn’t have kids watch it though because of adult humor and some violent/gory parts.

What can I say? I loved this movie from the day it came out in theaters. I used to own this blu ray before, but a whole bunch of my movies got stolen by someone (most likely my ex). So I'm glad I was able to get it again.

The quality of this movie is what you would expect from a good B horror movie. If you like a good B horror movie, then this would be four stars. The music is where this shines. Excellent cast and composers make this one of the best musicals of all time in my opinion.

This film is amazing. The musicals are superb, catchy. Yes, there is gore, squeamish grab a blanket to hide under and just listen to the songs. It's very fun. The actors are believable, couldn't have been placed better. I'd recommend this movie. Go..go now..go to BestBuy.

My DVD arrived quickly, and was packed well. The cover doesn't have a single scratch, and is in perfect condition. The DVD plays perfectly, and has wonderful extras. The price was also great.

When I first saw this movie, I was intrigued. It was so entertaining and there are so many familiar faces in this movie. Not for the faint of heart tho!

I have loved this movie since my best friend showed it to me many years ago. I hadn't been able to find it for a reasonable price until now! So beyond worth it!!

The 1st time I saw this, I was hesitant but Absolutely fell in Love with it!! I had to own It!! It's a little odd, has singing & an awesome story.

My bf cousin borrowed the movie and never returned it before we moved cross country so we picked up a new one. Great movie.

I drove 2 hours out of my way to be able to see this movie in theaters and it was AMAZING! I ordered the blu-ray for the additional stuff that doesnt come on the dvd special features, plus I'm sure the picture/sound for a movie with this kind of imagery will be stunning on blu-ray. The commentaries are good and the making of featurettes are pretty stadard fare... I wanna see the deleted scenes though, and they only come on the blu-ray version. The cast is great (even Paris Hilton) and the music is AWESOME. the overall feel of the movie comes across very well. It's very futuristic without being TOO futuristic. The story is very unique and very well acted/directed. Darren Lynn Bousman (of the SAW sequels) does an amazing job of visualizing everything. The end product of this movie is astonishing considering they had a budget that could barely buy shoestrings! I recommend this movie to anyone who likes movies that are different... but not if you don't like singing. Every word of this movie is sung... because, hey... it's an OPERA!

An amazing and refreshing movie. When Hollywood's churning out legions of remakes, comic book adaptations, book adaptations, and work that's just so derivative as to be asinine; someone does something original. Contrary to one of the reviews; I'd say the music [and singing] was VERY high quality and very enjoyable. I must admit though, this movies isn't for everyone [If a horror-themed rock opera isn't your cup of tea; obviously this isn't for you! Most of the bad reviews seem to from people that can't appreciate this kind of work]. The one downside is that the creators had to cut a bunch of the sub-plots that made the story more dynamic because Lionsgate said the movie was too long. When they eventually break even on this [barely advertised] masterpiece; they're hopeful they'll be able to get Lionsgate to release an uncut edition. Buy the movie and the soundtrack to support the cause! The Blu-Ray edition includes some songs/scenes not released with the DVD. Be sure to listen to the commentaries, they definitely make you like the movie even more. You see that the creators actually wanted to bring something cool to the world rather than just make a quick buck.

My friends couldn't believe that i hadn't seen this film. In fact, I had no idea it even existed until a few months ago. The plot is original and the score is as diverse as the cast. Even the characters are something new and different. Even if you don't like music, this film will draw you in and refuse to let go. The music has been stuck in my head for months and I love Repo! so much that I keep it in my DVD player to fulfill any sudden urge I get to "testify" or in case I have a friend over who hasn't seen it yet. I had no idea that Paris Hilton was in the movie until someone told me it was her. Also it's important to note that, contrary to previous reviews for this DVD, this is by NO MEANS a family film. It is rated R for a reason. Actually, several reasons. Drugs, murder, violence, adult situations, more violence, gore, violence and more drugs, and there's even a scene that uses the same profanity about five times within thirty seconds. For adults, it's fantastic.

The movie was fantastic. I am afraid I fell into the typical "What is w/ all this singing?" For the first half hr. of the movie or so, but once Anthony Stewart Head began sining Legal assassin, I instantly knew this movie was something beautiful. It is an opera in the truest since and the fact that it was so far yet so close to the classic style of an Opera is amazing. The movie is sung from beginning to end w/ the exception of about 10 min.s strung about through out the entire movie. The characters all serves their roles brilliantly. Paul Sorvino plays the singing villain wonderfully, Paris Hilton plays... well basically herself and the commentary tracks actually changed my view on her after hearing about all the love she put into this movie. If I had to chose one word to describe this movie, it would be Love. The movie, both in it's inception and it's creation, is all about love.
