I'll be honest, I thought these weapons had purely aesthetic bonuses for sentimentality, but it turns out they're actually a big help for Claire's A mission should you choose to use them! Claire's main starting weapon is a 5-shot pistol, and it takes some time before she gets an automatic with a larger ammo capacity. For those who tire of that, just grab one of these pistols out, load it up, and you have a nice 15-shot semi-automatic pistol to use until you find and upgrade the one available in the game. Not really useful in Leon's missions, but it's still a fun add-on.

These bonus guns are fun when you are starting out in the terrifying Resident Evil 2 game. I preferred the Jill gun because it provided a smoother experience. Either way, both of these weapons are ready as soon as you reach your first 'magic box' location (as long as you have downloaded the code). It's nice to have an added boost to deal with a tense game. Eventually, you will come across stronger weapons but I think that you keep these guns in your inventory as the 'default' weapon of choice.

The Samurai Edge deluxe weapons are a series of customized Beretta 92F handguns that can be found and used in the Resident Evil games. There are three Samurai Edge weapons in the Resident Evil 2 Remake, but, unfortunately, they are accessible only via pre-order as of writing. Typically, the Samurai Edge handguns are improved on the standard pistols you’ll find in the game.  Each gun is modeled for a specific character but features the S.T.A.R.S.

I normally don't really care for pre-order bonuses, especially weapons, because they're normally only effective for the first our or two of the game before you find something better. However, I've been using this gun for the majority of my entire playthrough. I like it a lot more than the stock handgun.

These pre-order bonuses are nice cosmetic options that give a little more variety beyond the basic starting pistol in the game. But in terms of usefulness, they seem pretty much the same as the standard gun. From what I can tell there are minor differences in terms of handling but damage output seems the same.

Received my DLC code within a few minutes of picking up my RE2 preorder from the store. I entered in the code and the guns appeared in the item box. The guns aren't very powerful but are useful in the beginning portion of the game.

When it comes to getting pre-order exclusive bonus content, I'm generally a sucker. Lol, this game was no exception. I was happy I pre-ordered last minute to make sure I got all of the bonus/extra content that I could! :)

Pretty cool guns to already have as back up when you first start the game. May not be the strongest guns, but sweet nod to the Original characters Jill, Chris and Wesker from RE1. Wish they were Magnums! Enjoy. ^_^

To be honest, I never used it because I wanted to play hardcore the original way since these guns give specific boosts to the one you choose. I know it does work based on my friends playing with them on their story

The gun looks cooler than the little pistol you normally get but I cant tell if it's more powerful or not. Seems to take the same amount of bullets to kill. Idk I could be wrong but I dont notice a difference.

Nothing crazy to write home about. But it's nice to have lots of handgun options so you can tailor your selection to your preference. The differences are only subtle, so they're neither game-making nor game-breaking.

Very cool to get this with the preorder. Anything extra helps in Resident Evil. Once you add the online code for this item you can pick up the extra weapons in the safe-room crate

Haven't used these. Still playing the story mode. I hope these weapons are powerful. The regular gun rarely takes the head from the zombie. I wonder if these will... The magnum does the job :)

You, too, can exclaim those famous Barry Burton words with these ‘Samurai Edge’ guns modeled after Chris and Jill's sidearms. A pretty novel pre-order bonus that came free with the RE2 Deluxe Edition.

I love collecting extras and every last option in games. A pre order often doesn’t deliver but this is a great addition. Guns are the name of the game in re, so I welcomed these options!

Not a bad preorder bonus for Resident Evil 2. I'm sure these will be available at some point in the future as paid DLC or as part of a Game of the Year \ Gold edition like Capcom did with RE7.

If you we're a fan of resident evil 2 back on ps1 ,then this is a must have. The graphics and game play is above and beyond exceptional.

Definitely worth preordering the game to get some of this exclusive content for a game that is already packed to the brim with fun gmaeplay.

Review on Pre order bonus - great! But the game is the reason and I love all the RE games, this one included, doesn't bother me how short it is.
