Resident Evil has been around for 20 years and fans are getting alot of great things this year !!! Resident Evil 4, 5, 6 are all running now at 1080p/60 fps and hard copies !!! Also $20 you cant beat that !!! I for one am buying 4,5,6 and Mercenaries this year ! Hopefully at E3 we get a sneak peak at Resident Evil 2 remake or Resident Evil 7?

Great and fun game. Good story lines with tons of sub quest.

this is exactly what I expected, fun and full of action

I have been playing and enjoying this game since it first came out. We have played it on all of the systems available and now on PS4. This is not the best game ever, but it is the one I have enjoyed the most. Great replay value, good story, good characters, good locations, unintended (?)silliness, not to many puzzles, and all around fun.

Earlier, Capcom released ports of both RE6 and RE5. RE4 has finally released yet again, but with the game being as old as it is, does this port benefit from the upscaling and increased frame rate? Graphics wise the game has bumped up resolution and clarity for almost all textures and objects in the game. While some aspects look great such as character models and water, environmental textures portray a shimmering effect due to the increased sharpness and low anti aliasing and filtering. It seems the motion blur filter seen in previous ports has been removed, thus increasing the shimmering. The game hold a steady 60FPS throughout the entire game, however, some actions and objects seem to still be 30FPS producing extremely jarring animations (reloading sniper rifle, some explosions, fire). Audio presentation is the same as previous ports supporting Dolby TS, however, some sounds seem to be a tad off for certain actions (climbing ladders for example), but nothing game breaking. This can be labeled the definitive version of the game, due to it coming with all previously released contents from other editions from the PC and PS2 while using the original gamecube/wii assets structure. Its a shame, due to the wii version still reigning top in my opinion, while that version is standard definition and is 30FPS, that port has all the released content, is bug free, and looks great due to being made with the specific hardware in mind and has no missing/broken effects.

Classic resident evil game with great graphics even for today! Good balance of action and survival horror!

Resident Evil 4 is an older game given a decent graphics facelift with re-release on PS4. If you have not played thru this story, I highly recommend this inexpensive gem of a game. Quick warning: The fighting mechanic is very different as the main player actually stands in place while attacking. This does anger some players, but it serves the horror theme of not being able to simply run from your attackers. You don't need to play any prior resident evil games to enjoy this one.

The original Resident Evil 4 was a great game on the gamecube/ps2. It's great to have it upgraded in graphics and ported to the PS4. The only downside is that the control system is now incredibly outdated and will most likely take a little while to get used to again. Video games have come a long way since 2005 and better, more streamlined game controls and camera angles are certainly something that this game is lacking. However, it is a small price to pay for any true RE fan.

Resident Evil 4 was the best when it released back in the day. This re-release is even better and is a must have.

I honestly don't know how many times RE4 have been rereleased since it's original debut in the GameCube & on PlayStation 2. If you haven't played it or own it yet, then go for this version because it's a great remaster. RE4 is still my favorite RE games in the series despite its tank like control, it still holds up today.

One day I was walking in Best Buy and I decided to check out the video game section. And there it was: Resident Evil 4 for the PS4! The price was right for only $19.99. I think it's cool that it takes place on a rural village. Encountering hordes of unimaginable horrors. I'm so glad that I bought it.

I loved this game so much when I was younger and I had been dying to play it again but i never thought I would be able to because of so many other reboots and all. Nevertheless they actually came out with it and as soon as i could i went out and bought it for myself now I'm playing it over and over again!

RE4 is the game that brought the series out of the low-count polygon depths of the PS1 and into the hearts of a new generation of gamers. Full of action and suspense, Capcom's efforts to duplicate RE4's success failed for years, until they changed up the formula once again for RE7. Recommended.

An excellent game that will go down as the greatest Resident Evil game in history in my opinion! From owning RE4 on the first console release Gamecube, to ps2, xbox 360, Wii now ps4! Great for newcomer to the RE series and most of all, Playing as Leon Kennedy is great

While it takes some getting used to controlling everything, once you get the hang of it, it’s really a fun and enjoyable game to play. Graphically, it’s extremely outdated, but nevertheless, still a fun game to play, especially if you can get it cheap.

I almost beat RE4 when it was released a long time ago and for its time it made an improvement to the RE series. I really liked the story but the gameplay for the PS4 remastered version is almost the same as on ps2. The graphics look good, they did a good job on that. After playing the remastered versions of re5 and 6 I couldn´t keep playing 4. It is a good game, yes, but it is hard to get used to its gameplay, at least for me.

Experience the peak of the resident evil gaming franchise with re4 finally on next gen .slightly upgraded graphics and trophies now come with the package and for the price you can't go wrong. This is one game to have if you love zombies, gruesome bosses, puzzles, and that damsel in distress!

I've beaten RE4 several times over the years. I played the gamecube original, ps2 version, HD remaster on Xbox 360, and now this updated version on my ps4. The game still holds up well today and is still a heck of a lot of fun. By far the best of the series... way better than 5 and 6.

If you haven't played this game then this is a great opportunity to do so with HD remastered graphics and not having to play on an older system. This game redfined the Resident Evil series and is generally considered to be one of if not the best. A must buy at a great price!
