I really don’t have any gripes with Resident Evil 7. The story hooked me, it’s beautiful to look at, and the gameplay is new and refreshing with sprinkles of homage to franchise signatures

The Best way to buy a game

In the world of gaming, paying extra after purchase has become commonplace. And while the freedom to pick and choose may seem nice as you only pay for what you wish, the Gold Edition does all the hard work for you by including all the current DLC in the sticker price (and at an extreme discount). RE7: Biohazard continues in the world established in earlier games while reinvigorating the franchise with a harrowing 1st person experience. This also includes a VR mode for the extremely brave. So if you have been patient and waited for this edition of a great game, you will be more than rewarded.

This game benefits greatly from playing it on VR because it is dark and in first person. This is a great package: you get the game, all Unbanned footage and the new DLC End of Zoe.

Resident Evil 7 is a great survival horror game and goes back to the RE roots. This is a must play in VR and the Gold edition is a nice package that includes all the DLC.

Resident Evil with enhanced VR MODE, in the gold Edition, is a breathe of fresh air into the Resident Evil Series. It really enhances the gameplay and makes it even spookier.

I did not make it very far into the game before I had to turn it off. The movement controls for VR made me incredibly nauseous. However, I have watched the GameGrumps play through as well as some others online and I look forward to playing more normally (without VR). So far the beginning is a little spooky, and does look good considering while wearing the VR headset. I hadn't reached any serious jump scares yet, but I'm interested in seeing how it plays out.

This game will literally frighten you. Engaging story and grotesque visuals. Resident Evil in First Person perspective. Plays similarly to The Condemed. Gold edition adds DLC so this is the version to get. Highly recommended. Don’t play it alone in a dark house.

A return to greatness for the series! As a huge proponent of Virtual Reality and owner of over 150 VR games RE7 remains among my top 3 games. I've never been a huge fan of horror games or movies because of the disconnect of watching on a flat screen. Playing RE7 in VR felt like I was inside the Baker house, the immersion level is incredible. I was genuinely terrified at times, the hair on the back of my arms standing up in anticipation of what atrocity I would run across next. Perfectly executed, a true masterpiece that I will return to again and again.

Playing this on a Pro. The game is fast and fluid. The graphics are great and it has such a creepy atmosphere. The only thing I don't like is the inventory.

Glad to see a more frightening adventure this time around and not just a guns-blazing RE game. This is more like the old originals with great atmosphere.

This is a fun entry to the Resident Evil franchise as it incorporates FPS in the game. Resident Evil 7 immerses the players and puts them in the belly of the Baker estate as they search for Mia Khali- errr uhh Winters. Mia Winters was what I meant. Gameplay: 9.5/10 Plot/Lore: 9.5/10 Visuals/Level Design: 10/10 Replay Value: 10/10 The only thing this game lacks is enemy variation. Other than that, this is a solid game!

can't tell you how much I love RE7. it is not as similar to the origin playing as 3rd person with zombies surrounding you. this game gives more depth in the fright factor. plays especially well being in VR mode so get PSVR if you can. this gold edition has all the DLC on disc except for Not a Hero which is free on PSN

The game is phenomenal. Capcom went the horror route with this installment and it paid off. This game will leave you at the edge of your seat.

After the disgraceful Resident Evil 6, the series was in a difficult place. Before the fantastic RE2 remake, this was the game the restored many people's confidence that Capcom still knew how to make an atmospheric survival horror. The first half of the game is hands down the scariest RE has ever been. The atmosphere, sound design, and set up is absolutely terrifying. Many may blame the game for to being like RE, but get through enough of it, at around the midpoint, the structure of a RE game begins to reveal itself. Every RE basically begins with you feeling weak and terrified and by the end, you're a walking arsenal. Make no mistake, RE follows this; Outlast this is not. While the narrative is strong, it does waver toward the end unfortunately. In the gold edition, the game includes all the released DLC. The "Banned Footage" line of DLC are mini challenges/minigames that extend the gameplay but don't add anything too meaningful to the narrative, aside from "Daughters" which follows the Baker family before the events of the game. It's short, but sweet. Another mode is akin to Call of Duty's zombies mode where you survive against hordes of enemies. Not A Hero is a great throwback to RE5 and ties up loose ends from the core game. Fun, satisfying, but nothing extraordinary. End of Zoe, however, leans right into the absurdity that is this series. This story DLC has a lot of fun with what it's doing and leans right into the campier sides of the series. Depending on how serious you take the RE canon (and you shouldn't), it's a really fun extension that has you in shock with the things you're doing. RE7 is a great package that is especially worth picking up at such a cheap price. If you enjoy survival horror, it's essential. Don't miss out.

A new, scarier Resident Evil game

Resident Evil VII is a great game. The game goes back to being a scared first mentality to where things jump out at you and the lighting with only a flashlight makes it hard to see when things will attack you. The game has a great story and with the Gold Edition, you get everything in one package with all the DLC released for it. If you are a true fan of Resident Evil, or scary games that make you jump, then this is a great game to purchase.
