This is one of my favorite resident evils to date. The graphics and storyline are amazing.

The game is like of greatest hits run of the best elements from most of the RE games over the years. But in FPS mode so some aspects of horror are stronger, others a bit weaker.
Its a limited open world, you must defeat the bosses in order, but the village acts as a somewhat hub that new parts open up for you to explore and hidden items to find.
It is about 8-10 hours, but that 8-10 hours is actually fun. And once you beat it, you open up challenge modes, Merc mode etc. So there is replay value.
The story is your typical cheesy, plot hole, and hammy acting RE fair. Its def in the so bad its good territory. Hard to explain unless you play it. But there are some points where you want to slap Ethan for his stupidity but you just laugh at it in the end.
Overall prob worth the full price for the experience.

Resident Evil needs to quit! If you didn't need a defibrillator for Biohazard, you need to check your pulse! This game . . . what else can you say about Resident Evil games. Plenty of jump scares! Plenty of stress! Graphics off the chart. Storyline good. Lady Dimitrescu is Momma Dearest!! This game on VR would definitely require oxygen and a defibrillator. Great game! Love it!!!!

Resident Evil Village is part 8 of the hard line RE series. The story continues with Ethan Winters, of part 7, and I'd say that it isn't as hard as part 7. I was impressed with the lycanthrope entries into the RE world, the eventual backstory of how Umbrella has roots in "the mold" of part 7 and 8, and for the most part I enjoyed the odd adventure. It features Casual, Normal, Hardcore, and Village Of Shadows difficulty. I consider 7 and 8 curve balls from the RE makers but I actually like them. Oh, it also uses the same game engine from part 7. It's broken up into 4 major areas, The Village itself, and the ending. Also the one additional feature is The Mercenaries. A series of gauntlets with points to test your killing abilities. I achieved the PS4 Platinum Trophy on 8/17/2023, 7:43 PM. I used online video guides for the harder stuff as tips on how to do it.

I love this game, but it feels a little short compared to the last few entries in the series. Also, there is no VR support. Other than those complaints, this game is top-notch.

Legendary game but only 2 bosses are interesting, the rest of them are crap. We all know how this game was advertised and YES that tall lady is one of the 2 better bosses. The other boss without going into spoilers is kind of creepy and the story behind is interesting, and after that is when the game goes downhill RE 6 type of style. Not interesting at all with crappy bosses. By then the creep factor is gone and you are just a killing machine.Great story overall,( your story) but nah it looses potential. Keep em creepy like RE7 Biohazard , one of the best Resident evils ever made and in VR? No one can top that one. Get this one on the cheap.

This game is beyond amazing, the horror is nailed perfectly. My body quivered in fear while running away from lycans and witch’s! It was worth more than the 60 dollar price tag! Best Buy once again fulfilled preorder bonuses perfectly! Ok if the great benefits is the added bonus of re verse which releases this summer! Two games in one, count me in! I’m happy that I ordered with Best Buy!

I thought this game was really cool. It has a slow start but it works for it. It helps build up the suspense and keeps you on the edge. To me personally I thought there was one part of the game that was scarier than all the rest and the final boss fight was kind of a nose dive. However overall still a good game.

Resident Evil Village...my son convinced me to pick this game up...it was on sale, so I did...I also have RE2...RE4 & RE7...& they were as playable as I was told...can be frightening at time, if your into these types of games you will have fun with them, be warned don't play at night...thats when its at it most scariest

Great game! Somewhat easy in normal mode but feels too difficult in hard- wish there woulda been an additional setting in between but overall super fun and great story.
