Another great entry in the long running franchise. A more action heavy adventure in the vein of re4 that builds off the tense and superb re7. Impressive to look at, fun to play, no real bugs found, and very replayable thanks to the mercenaries mode. The only real negative I have with the game is the emphasis on action leaves the fear more sparse than desired. Though I didn't enjoy it as much as 7 it is still an easy recommend.

Best Buy was one of the few stores to allow me to pick up the game on release day since most other stores either had to ship it or I had to preorder far in advance. Since they had a nice Steel Book cover and a Trauma Pack bonus, I ordered about a week before release. The game is great. I had a lot of fun playing it and I don't play many video games anymore- so this was an incredibly rewarding experience. The game is not too short and there are plenty of places to explore and extras to unlock. I actually enjoyed this game more than RE7, even as a long time fan. RE4 fans will especially be happy with Village because I can see many similarities between them. This is one of the few games that I believe the full price is warranted and Capcom should be rewarded for taking the series in this direction with gameplay and unique characters- even though 1st person is different and I'm not a huge fan of 1st person games. Village is 100% a must have game and I feel like RE fans and casual gamers will enjoy the experience. I got the PS4 version and played on a PS4 Pro and everything ran smoothly and no technical problems or lagging (if that matters to you. Lol)

One of the best Resident Evil games as a long time fan of the franchise I can say this game is great! It has different types of horrors and lore which makes the game a great experience, I recommend play Resident Evil 7 Biohazard First and then play Village, you will love the game if youre a horror gaming fan! After if you havent played all the Resident Evil games WHAT ARE YOU WAITING FOR! You will enjoy the ride !

The best original RE game in forever. I loved 7 but it felt a bit short (I beat in one sitting!) RE Amps up 7’s gameplay, concluded cliffhangers, is generally scary, and amazing levels! Graphics are pretty awesome with awesome lighting and sound fx. I would say it is a satisfying length and would replay to try new weapons and tactics. Love the werewolves and monsters!

Another great entry in the resident evil series. Picks up after the events from resident evil 7 so if you haven’t played that game I highly recommend you do before playing village. Setting and tone are eerie; there a definitely a handful of creepy segments in the game that give the player a few scare jumps. Highly recommend this game.

Great game! Somewhat easy in normal mode but feels too difficult in hard- wish there woulda been an additional setting in between but overall super fun and great story.

Resident Evil Villiage continues the story of Ethan Winters, post his terrifying adventure against Jack Baker and deadly family. This time around, Ethan and wife Mia are coping with dealing with life after Durvey, Louisiana. In a blink of an eye, events occur at the start of the game and Mia and Ethan’s daughter, Rose, is taken. Ethan embarks on mission to recover his daughter Rose. Some Resident Evil 4 vibes can felt when playing this game, as comparisons can be drawn to European setting and vast rural locations, the obese arms dealer, along with a large, ominous castle that looms in the background. Other than those inspirations, Resident Evil Village has traded in its flesh-eating zombies for supernatural beings like witches and werewolves. Similar to Resident Evil 7, the player is living Resident Evil Village through Ethan Winter’s eyes. The game is dark and gloomy. The characters are sadistic and well written. Do not sleep on this game. Fun factor is plain fun. Replay ability is also high. Resident Evil Village is a must buy for survival-horror fans and all players alike.

This is one of the best games of the year. It picks up years after the events of RE VII. The storyline is entertaining. The graphics are incredible and beautiful. It's full of action and terrifying horror. And also bloody and gory. And the way it ends is shocking.

After buying and beating this game, I can say it was worth it’s price. The game has a more refined combat system. blocking is more useful with the push mechanic, the guns are more varied, though they did take out the flamethrower. Resident evil 8 takes a different approach to horror, the jump from Louisiana to a Romanian village means the horrors of the bakers house like is mold monsters and the disgusting, decrepit houses are gone. Resident evil 8 has a more gothic horror with giant castles, unused dungeons, a water mill, metal factory, a eerie house on a hill and some remains of a village. They nail this tone by making every building in the village feel empty and show the horror that happens there. Without getting into spoilers the castle has this time the best with its many layers show how the monsters see humans.

Good addition to the resident evil series. There are small hints of Resident Evil 4. Fun gameplay and excellent visuals. Plays more like Resident evil 7 and a little of 4.

Amazing game. I actually like this game way better than 7 even though I know it's an unpopular opinion. This game just nails Resident Evil. Action, adventure, compelling characters and a layer of spookiness. Great game.

Fun game, purchased at a great price. If you are ok with horror and like puzzle/action games, I’d recommend this series. I wouldn’t recommend for kids though. This game can get pretty spooky sometimes.

The game is great so far, and amazingly, it runs amazing on my 7-8 year old PS4(which is already starting to die out). The story is good, the gameplay is great, only downside is no VR mode.

What a great game. The graphics are incredible and the storyline just as good. The story picks up where Resident Evil 7 left off. If liked 7 then you will like this as well.
