Based on the gameplay of Village, it's safe to say a remake of Resident Evil 4 is on the way. I found this game to be a blast to play, completing it three times in less than a week. I won't spoil anything narrative wise, but it's a satisfying storyline and a great sequel to RE7. If only Chris were super-jacked again...

While RE7 scared me more, this game is so fun and still packed with some scares (one segment that might arguably be scarier than anything in RE7). It's not too long, and has tons of replay value for challenges and unlockable content in game. Recommend for any action or horror enthusiast.

Great game, great graphics, really enjoyed the storyline!

It's RE4 smashed together with RE7 (or RE7 smashed together with RE4 - depending how you look at it) so it's a great game. Still feel RE7 is the better story and tight game overall, but Village is still well worth anyone's time. Here's hoping the DLC for RE8 happens sooner rather than later.

FUN GAME! Action is good an picture is amazing ...

Big fan of Resident Evil and 8 is pretty good. Just beaten 7 while ago and playing RE Village right after has been great. Good story, characters, nice variety of enemies and each area is nice. You don’t have to play RE 7 before 8, but I’d recommend giving that game play it’s awesome and village takes place after 7.

Beat it 4 times. High replay value with this game. The way they tie the story together was a pleasant surprise. If you haven’t played RE7, I would suggest it but they do implement a recap of the first game prior to playing 8 if you’re too impatient

I got this game for a friend as a birthday gift and he loved it! I, too, got it for myself, and it's one of my favorite Resident Evil games. I'd say it's comparable to Resident Evil 4 and of course Resident Evil 7. This one is more suspenseful than scary but the horror is still there. Definitely recommend!

I've played all the Resident Evil games and with no doubt in my opinion Village is the best one. This game will scare you in several different ways (not for the faint of hearted) I wouldn't play this game alone at night. If your a fan of horror games you'll love Village

Hi. I was not sure if I was going to enjoy playing this particular game Village. For me playing it on casual mode allowed me to almost never get frustrated fighting formidable baddies. But I found it easy. Also the story line is different from previous where there are no zombie swarm attacks.

Resident Evil does it again with this great continuation of the series. While not as scary as Resident Evil 7, it is still simply an amazing game and story line to play! I have played through 3 times now and am looking forward to a 4th play through trying to get all the achievements!

Better than 5 and 6, not as great as 7. Feels like a mix of 4's mechanica and atmosphere in an FPS game.

Not quite as good at RE VII but still a very enjoyable experience

Fantastic title, RE franchise is hit or miss but this one holds a special place in my heart and can be considered a true AAA title.

Wasn't interested getting the game since I couldn't get into the RE series growing up but this new entry of the series is winning me over. Tense, action-packed, and a blast! Recommend playing and one of the best games I've played in the series.

One of my favorite out of the entire series. I didn't play 7 because it didn't seem like a real Resident Evil to me...but this continuation of that definitely honored the series. Highly recommend if you're looking for good action a jump scare or two.

Easily one of the best games of 2021. I was expecting to be let down because Resident Evil 7 was just so good to me that I couldn't see this being able to follow it up and even though i still love 7 just slightly more this game is a very worthy successor.

This game is a great addition to the resident evil family. It contains a nice variety of gameplay. This includes a variety of different puzzle types as well as enemies and mechanics. It plays from the 1st person view just like 7 since it is the same character.

Ok so I have two boys and the best thing in the world coming from them is screaming like little girls lol. Sony, please keep making the games like RE to make big kids scream. I’m glad these games keep up their stories going back to my teenage years BRAVO!

If you're into RE games, you really can't go wrong with this game. It is definitely in the vain of the more recent games, and not like the old school original games, but is an awesome follow up to RE:7. It does a nice job of bridging the stories of other games to this one as well, which is fun for longtime players. There is a lot of extra content as well.
