Words can't describe how great this game looks and how it plays. an awesome one player experience. If you enjoyed playing the first by yourself then this is a no-brainer purchase. Heck if you never played the first then I suggest buying both and playing them. You will not be disappointed. However a major letdown has to be that Insomniac took a feature out of the second game that made the first so great. The 2 player campaign mode allowing 2 people to play through the single player campaign together. Leaving that in the plan should have been a no-brainer; but Insomniac chose to sacrifice it. In my opinion that really hurts the game because it was a great selling point on the 1st game. Sure there are other great features but think of it this way. Let's say you buy a Mustang and it has a really good stereo with CD like every car has these days. Well suppose you bought the next model when it came out. The CD radio is pretty much a given. Even if the car had a better engine, better brakes, an awesome shape ... You'd still find yourself saying ... boy a CD player would have been nice. Anyway ... If you like single player campaigns then rush out and get the game. If it's co-op offline you want ... go buy something else because you will not be satisfied.

I played the beta for this game, and it is amazing! and that is just the beta. The graphics are even better than the first one, which was hard to do. Not only are the graphics better, but the guns are phenomenal! They are really cool, and have better features and looks. I'm guessing the real game will be even better. The 60 player is going to be awesome. So is the online coop which is new to this game. The story is supposed to be alot longer and better, which is very good. The new chimeran are awesome! I'd preorder this if I were you!

Ok everybody is so caught up w/ gears of war but resistance 2 is the game for PS3. The first edition had no sprint but that changed now. Also the addition of coop makes it fun to link up w/ friends and not try to kill them. Its just fun to have a change of target. Plus who doesn't want to know how the story of Nathan Hale ends? The story line is both interesting and lengthy making sure the game isn't beat in 2 hours. Different monsters are addded to the chimeran infantry. There are also new guns that extend the depth of what the player is able to do.

This game is amazing. Insomniac really stepped it up. I loved Resistance: Fall of Man and had to get this. At first it took some getting used to but it ended up being probably the best game I've ever played. The big and better difference from the first Resistance is that at the end of each "chapter" there is always some huge guy you have to beat. This makes the game less repetitive like many other shooting games. To me, this is the game of the year.

I have the beta and it's perfect just as I imagined. There are 3 online huge levels for the beta. 1. Orick,California. 2Chicago, Illinois, and 3San Francisco, Ca. There are alot of game types including deathmatch, team deathmatch, skirmish, and core control . The graphics on resistance 2 are far better than call of duty 4 and others, They compare to drakes fortune but better. This game is for the history books and is amazing. With the sniper rifle you can hit anything you see. The graphics far away are all in real time and are clear as a whistle. When you shoot someone the blood and physics are amazing and leaks out brilliantly. You can blow someone up into pieces with the 40mm grenade gorgeous graphics when this happens. This game pops out on my HDTV more than any game ever has honestly its that good on graphics. I have a ps3 and xbox 360 and this game was jaw dropping. Co-op is amazing as well. Brilliant A.I the computer is so much smarter. Chimera rush you and you can see sliva dripping out of there mouth amazing absolutly amazing. this game is dreadful if you want to play with a friend there is this new level junk that only lets you have 4 guns and the 2nd playerdoes not save if you want to plat with a friend this is horrible please get the first one if you want to play with a friendyou can only have 2 guns the guns are way better the campaign is the best it is great but it is not 2 player which is really dumb the campign is great GREAT please get this if you want to play alone if you want to play with a friend get resistance1 i wish campign was 2 player in this if the makers read this please make Resistance 3 have a great campign and make it 2 player and make it so we can fight each other. i thouth it would be much better

This game is the best game i've played ever since I got my playstation. the graphics are amazing and the gameplay is fun. campaign wasn't so long but it wasn't so short. It scared me alot especially when i had to go into a dark house with a flashlight i was afraid of chimera jumping out from nowhere. online play is what you'ld expect. its crazy theres so many things going on and i like how you can customize the game. there are some downsides though. when 2 people are playing on the same system when someone pauses or changes there weapons it takes up the whole screen. that can be annoying to the person who didn't pause because they could get killed easily. also on co op you can't use 2 profiles at once so if your playing with your brother than it can get annoying when all your progress can't be saved. and the game would also be good if it had a 4 player mode but i looked on the official site and there was a part where you could ask insomniac to patch things and these were at the top of the list so if you like shooters than get this game

This game is just sick! I got the game and inserted the disc into my ps3 to see the true next generation of FPS gaming. What I saw was beyond my expectations. The graphics are one of the best you'll ever see in 08 and 09. Characters are very highly detailed especially the chimeras. The storyline is very epic and lengthy. Also Challenging. But, theres no weapon wheel, so now you can carry only 2 guns with you. But they did that because it works great in online. Imagine getting killed while using weapon wheel. Up to 60people in 1matchup is just amazing and NO LAGS AT ALL. The connection i was impressed with. In COD series, i got disconnected a lot from online but in R2, I Never got disconnected so far. Also you can play Co op which is a blast. Having a friend by ur side or just playing through with random people is just so fun. I recommend you get a headset. Using headset online is really fun too. This game has very high replay value cause of its online. I bet you will still want to play R2 online in like 4 or 5month. GET this game. I think this game just blows HALO AND COD OUT OF the way. It won lots of reward in the E3 show

This game is insane!!!!! This game is better than Resistance Fall of Man in every aspect, and let me tell you.....Resistance Fall of Man is a great game. Resistance 2 is so good......it is even scary to play it sometimes.....there are levels where you are just scared to go into a dark room, you have a lot of anticipation and chimera strike in the dark and I mean DARK and from behind you! and in great numbers....it is just scary sometimes. Also, the graphics are so much better than the first one and thankfully they got rid of the annoying way you would die each time in Resistance Fall of Man, where the screen would go black and white and would show Nathan Hale stumbling across the screen. Another thing I like about Resistance 2 is that they explain to you all about the chimera and where it came from and uncover a lot of secrets. I have the dual shock controller and that makes the experience a whole lot better. You must play Resistance fall of Man first so you can understand what is going on. This game is the best in my collection so far. Go out and buy it, you will not be dissappointed

resistance 2 was a perfect sequel. everything was improved. the graphics were wat u'd expect not to much not to little better than call of duty but less than killzone 2. the campaign was about 9 hours so it wasn't very long. online competetive is insane so much sh!% is going on. the AI on campaign is really good and u can hear them grunting and reacting to u shooting them but on the Coop the AI kinda sucks a little. sometimes a gaint titan can walk in place when its by a wall. but its still pretty fun. for a shooter its awesome although it could've been better but it wasn't trying to be a huge game but just a game to keep u satisfied while u wait for a next gen game to come out. dont' listen to the other dudes who gave in a 1 star wat they said was BS. its a good game all it is is a rock solid shooter. its 2 player and has customizable controls it won't blow ur mind anymore once u beat campaign but it'll still be fun so if u have ur ps3 hooked up to the internet u might wanna check this game out but if u don't have it hooked up than just stick to metal gear solid

Resistance 2 improves on the original in every way. The graphics are a huge step up. Speaking of which, the online graphics look better than many games do offline, and with 60 players playing at once with virtually no lag that is an amazing step forward for console gaming. The campaign is a lot of fun and the weapons are fun and satisfying. Of course, I would expect no less from the creators of the Ratchet and Clank series. My only complaint is that you can only rank up in matchmaking which is a little annoying considering it's easier to find more, larger matches in custom games. Also a small minority of Resistance 1 players might not like the slower, more Call of Duty-like approach to character movement, but I think it's an improvement. You do move at a slower pace, but now you get the option to sprint. Overall, the gameplay as well as every other aspect of this game has been given more depth and made better overall. 5 Stars and a recommendation no doubt. It's a good time to own a Playstation.

Very fun game but man is this game tricky from chamelons,to furrys it gets harder every battle which may turn some people off but for others no.The really easy part is up until the san francisco level when you retreat from the drone and run into the room with the ring surrounded by water with a furry swiming in it hard as running from bees.The guns are awesome though everything from magnums with exploding bullets,to sniper rifles with slo mo effects you take them on in daring enviroments.Rent it but dont buy it"

The sequel rarely matches up to the virgin game but this one comes very close. To entice people in R2, new weapons keep things interesting. Check out the Wraith which has a.......300 round clip. Slicing apart some chimara with this one is truly exhilarating!!! The bad guys from last time are here with plenty more. Nagging zombie types come and ya in droves like leeches. Then there's the BIG BAD GUYS that make your heart race when one you see 'em. This game has a good storyline, great weapons, awesome enemies, and is just pure joy to play. I am an oldie dad of 4 kids so time is limited for me. I completed this game in roughly 6 hours in two chunks. My gamer son enjoyed it as well. With his advice we escaped in less than 4 minutes to see the credits roll together. This game is a sure buy for any shooter fan. If you loved the first one you will love this as much. Well worth the money and high replay value! BUY NOW. Do not waste money on new shooter series first.

The game is great, it has an amazing graphical sharpness, along with okay audio and controls to enjoy with this awesome game for a perfect rate of five. Also a great new look and aggressiveness for the chimera's and friends, the guns are pretty good too. The only thing about this game that only I could notice and complain about is that the shots fired from most human guns in this is that they are plainly visible and look big enough to kill an elephant! To me they should narrow the shots down to a skinnier sharper looking bullet shot. Other than that its a perfect game, and {EVERONE} should buy this game if they like gaming it really is great!

What I liked about the old game, you could carry multiple guns all at the same time. With R2 you can only carry two, which is more life like. as far as Doggerfortie's comment about not being able to play with his wife.... The online mode is wonderful, and you can play online.... It is VERY addicting...The only downfall, if you like to play with someone, yes there is a co-op mode BUT it isn;t the story mode co-op it's all together different.... NOt like the fist game... But if it was it would be repetitive and boring!! Would deff. recommend if you liked the old one!!!!

I love this game, the graphics are great, and the guns and boss fights are amazing. This is way better than Halo 3, and anyone who has a PS3 shoud run out to the store and buy this game. I really liked the guns, and the overall feel of the game. Having played the original I thought that this one improved a lot. I don't like how they don't have the 2 player co-op, but that is a minor problem. I also didn't like how you can only have 2 guns at one time. Overall though this game is one of the best, if not, best games on the Playstation 3.

This is my favorite game for the PS3 and i have over 25 games. The guns are awesome and the Bulseye 2 is awesome once thats the only gun the enemies use for a while. The storyline is awesome with how they have to take down the ships ect. Another cool thing is how you have to face bosses but their not that hard. After what happens in the last sceen of the game you realize thats the last game and it really makes you think what would happen next for the guy thats left. Must Buy!!!!!

This game has potential, but it's not their yet. Maybe if a 3rd game is made it will be much better. Overall, the game just has a cheesy feel to it.....like when you shoot a chimera they dont even flinch at all. You shoot them 20 times and on the last shot they decide to fall over and die....just looks poorly made with some things. They need to have better hit and death animations when you kill different ememies. I do like the story.....only thing about this game that is better than Killzone 2. Online is just hectic with no real point. It takes a whole clip to kill someone. Get Killzone 2.....incredible game!! or COD 4 if you haven't played it yet.....also incredible game!! COD World at War........well just stick with COD 4

I loved the first game and thought this one would be similar but even better. I bought the game assuming that it had a 2 player campaign mode, which was my favorite part of the first game. When I found this to not be true, I was very disappointed and felt cheated with the game. The single player campaign is great, and if that (along with online play) is what you're looking for, then you will love this game. Another thing that I loved about the first game that is missing from this one is the ability to carry so many different types of guns. I know that this one is more realistic by only being able to carry two, but having the choice of so many different kinds of weapons was just a cool feature.

First of all, the sequel to games is sometimes akin to the proverbial "sophomore slump". Well, this one does not. It's better than the first! It's an unfair criticism to compare this game to the Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2. Why would you do that? Two different games and differing attributes to both! You're gaming library does NOT have to have one or the other :-) Get them both! You have an added health bar and more realism of only carrying two weapons. The storyline continues from the last game and the graphics are beautiful. The resonsiveness is good and the game overall is a lot of fun. It is rated mature, but you are battling aliens... so I wouldn't have all that much problem if it wasn't rated to harshly. Parental discretion is better that anything else I guess.
