This game provides a great continuation of the storyline and fantastic graphics. However the controls seemed cumbersome and could use an overhaul in the next one.

This game got bigger an better in all respects. New guns, better graphics, smarter AI, better multiplayer mode with 64 players online. The only thing i have a complaint about is that you can no longer do the story mode of sigle player with two players... which is a bummer to me. There is a two player mode... but it is not as good.

If you liked the first, you will like this version. I was afraid after playing the beta that they would change too much from the original and it wouldn't feel like resistance, but i was wrong, this game is great, i loved every minute of what i've played so far, story is betters, guns are better and more realistic

So overall the game is good and is better but not all things are. The graphics are much better and look good except some of the settings, some things look horrible and its disappointing, i played gears of war 2 and it looked way better(not fanboy) so i was little disappointed with the co op but it was ok. The online was crazy with so many people, and the game was pretty god overall i say you should get it it will be fun

From jumping into Resistance 2 without playing Resistance, the game shocked me on the visuals and the ease to follow game controls. The graphics are great on a 1080p HDTV and it'll keep you busy for hours. Highly recommend this game to anyone that likes quick and fun first person shooters.

Overall I love the game it is very fun but it only took me a couple of days to pass it. The story line is cool and the graphics are great. Online play for this game is awesome its my favorite game to play online since it could be played split screen and there are lots of players.

R2 contains everything that made the first such a great game and offers more. Harder gameplay, improved controlls, larger scale, great graphics, and fantastic story. This game has tremendous replay value and is a must have for PS3 owners!

To go on about the two weapons thing, at least if you need a certain weapon it is usually where you need it. If you have to have a rocket launcher, it is nearby, etc. The graphics are sick, the controls are great. I really enjoyed it!

I played this game on hard my first time playing through campaign. I usually like games on normal, or easy. but this game's controls are so accurate and smooth that if you have a talent for 1st person shooters you should have a blast! When you die it won't just throw you waay back it will put you at the beginning of the fight you died in. ( which honestly never annoyed me like many many games tend to) the hard isn't impossible the A.I is simply smarter The online play is very fun ps3 version of Halo3 with similar weapons. and similar game play. it's a good resort if you perfer a ps3 over a 360 but you enjoy halo online but don't want to spend the money. overall you don't need to have online to enjoy this game. i am playing the campaign on the ''superhuman'' difficulty now after hard

Overall, I liked this game because it kept me on my toes and at the edge of my seat in the campaign mode. I was, however, VERY disappointed to find out that my friend could not play the single player campaign with me because they took that out of this sequel. Still, the game was exciting and scary and made me not want to stop. The co-op play is insanely cool-it plays just like you would in CoD4-you get level ups! Also, you can play as a soldier, medic, or special ops team in cooperative mode which is awesome. Competitive is even better-it's hilarious to hear people scream on the headset when you hide and pop out as a yucky monster haha. This is definitely one of the games I would prefer to own over rent.

I dont usually like first person point of view games but this is clearly one of the best of them out there. I prefer third person but when aiming switching to first person like the metal gear solid series. The campaign mode is great except that the levels are very straight forward there arent many places to explore and find new things. there is only one path to take most of the time. Another bad thing about the game is that the chimeras all look exactly the same, there is no variation of different looking ones unless your fighting the huge ones with the gatling rail guns or whatever you wanna call it. I would prefer this game to those who like very straight storylines and to those who dont like puzzle games like zelda or metal gear. i would recommend this to a friend depending on what kind of gamer they are

Ok, I have been looking forward to this game for quite awhile. The beta came out so I got it and I have been playing it all day. It just isn't great. The graphics are ok, not great by any standards. The gameplay plays like your typical shooter. This makes me sad because this game has so much hype in the playstation world. I have mostly been playing the multiplayer because the co-op is down right boring. You have to do a list of objectives in which you find yourself shooting in one direction, at one object over and over and over and over and over and over and over again. The multiplayer is good though. I just feel it is the same as any other shooter that is already out. The only thing this game really has going for it is the 60 players online. The perk system is a half baked rip off of Call Of Duty 4. The Special weapons are alot, and I mean alot like Halo. (and I don't even like halo) I just hope that the actual game will be a far better game than the beta.

Seriously this game will give you infinity hours of gameplay. You can do story mode (about 10 hours), online multyplayer co-op story (about 5 Hours) and finally multiplayer vs (about infinity hours)...so 10 plus 5 plus infinity = INFINITY!!!! Resistance 2 is Amazing!

This game is awsome. The campaign is intense n difficult enough to be a challenge to any gamer. The online mode is insane. 60 players battleing it out this is definitely the best online 1st person shooter. I was an avid halo n cod fan but this beats them both especially if u enjoy never being bored. Oh yeah and to all the ones that complain about only carrying 2 weapons thats all u carry in call of duty n halo so if u can play those two weapons aint that big of a deal. I wud definitely recommend this game to anyone who likes halo or call of duty b/c its online play n in some ways it campaign blows those away.

Resistance one did many things right, among these, having a health bar!!! It was a great idea, it allowed the player to be a "superhero" but still able to die. It made sense since you are a human infected by an alien virus. Now, in R2, you no longer have a health bar, but instead you can only take so many hits before you die, kind of like COD4. One hiccup however: unlike in COD4, you are EXTREMELY frail. During play under Normal mode, you will die many times because you can't take a single shot or hit from a standard enemy, god forbid you take on a titan or similar. Also, you are now limited to carrying two guns, not bad but a little bit of a shock from R1. Overall, a dissapointment. What happened to R@ is akin to what happened with Halo:ODST: You are no longer a super soldier, you are just a soldier, in a world where cover doesn't matter tanks to the Bullseye.

campain 2 player no longer there, cheap kills in campain where enemies only attack you and not computer allies. Split screen for two player co op on wide screen sucks. they need to get the split screen to fit the tv. The game has its online server issues like all other games from time to time. But over all this game is Vary RAD and worth buying if you are a resistance fan or even a new player. At first I didnt like that you could only carry two guns but I got use to vary fast and it just became second hand like anyother game. This game is really worth it just for the online co op.

This game so far is amazing..Graphics are very nice! online is very good,no lag at all and it has 60 people online! a Must buy for a PS3 owner! :)

Resistance 2 is the sequel to Resistance: Fall of Man. You continue your journey as Nathan Hale, and you fight the Chimera once again as they invade the United States. It's on a much bigger scale and, unlike the first one, you really feel like you're in an epic war. The campaign is just as long as that of the first game. But it follows Hale directly, and doesn't have anybody narrating the events. This is good and bad. It makes the game feel more movie-like, but the story is a bit harder to understand this way. The Chimera are just as smart as ever, and they bring back favorites like the Bullseye and Auger, while introducing new weapons like a magnum that fires bullets that you can detonate, and a Chimeran sniper rifle that fires 3 rounds at once. The story answers some questions left in the first game, and also opens more questions. The multiplayer is amazing. You can be in battles of up to 60 players. But it doesn't feel too chaotic. I haven't experienced lag, even with 60 people, and you don't feel like you can die too easily like in Call of Duty games. There are numerous modes, and you can customize your soldier. This is definitely one of the best online games to date. Now to talk about some of the letdowns of this game. The graphics are fairly detailed and colorful, although humans only look average. And you can see some visual cutbacks they had to make. When in-game, people's lips don't match their words perfectly, and when they're pressing buttons on a switch, you can see they're not touching it really if you look. But the cutscenes still look great, and these cutbacks are understandable considering how much the game does. Also, the gore-factor has been upped greatly. Some enemies explode in blood, and when you destroy a Titan (the large, brown monsters from the first one), it will rain guts when it explodes. And the game is fairly disgusting, and there are quite a bit of pop-ups. But the game is definitely worth it, and these shouldn't affect your decision to buy the game, just keep them in mind so you don't be too surprised. Basically, this is perheps the best shooter on the PS3, and a must-have for PS3 owners. But I do reccomend playing the first Resistance first to understand the story completely. And the first game is a heck of a lot of fun

Hi I decided to review this game because I have been playing the beta and anticipating the release to basically one of the best FPS made for the PS3 yes its better than Halo 3 hands down and more competitive and better AI in this game than in any shooter. You will have to play it co-op to get the best experience out of this game I can't wait for this to come out in November. If you haven't reserved the game go do it you won't be disappointed I promise you that. If you are a PS3 Owner this game is a must have in your game collection.

This game had me very hyped up, so i pre-ordered it. Once i got i was a little dissapointed. The graphics look great, but graphics aren't good without a good story line. Overall a good game, but they should upgrade from the first one, not downgrade
